Jim Lampman I have an issue that started on May 20th. I requested a quote for pick up and shipping. We discussed that it was an unframed painting and that rolling it up and put it in a tube and that was what was agreed upon. I've reached out on several occasions. I was told they had forgot to pick it up and it wo be schedule for the next pick up at that location. Yesterday the 30th of July after 50 days I called again for an update and was told they would get back. I used ASAP to ship my purchases from two Benefit Shop auctions. There was a mistake on ASAP's part and only one package was sent out. John, the owner of the business, took no responsibility for the error. I asked for a discount on the $300 shipping fee I'd been charged, since they were sending out my second package a week late. He answered that the refund would come out of his employee's pocket. Truly a nasty person. In future, I'll use the UPS Store for my Benefit Auction shipping, rather than contribute to his miserable business model and ugly attitude. read more

Had the worst experience there today. There was only one person in the place. Took over 20 min to mail out a simple package that was was properly wrapped and address. I can not understand why it took this guy 20 to send out the package and buy a book of stamps. Service is bad enough with one of the older gentleman but this guy was the worst. John and Peter are The ultimate professionals. I have shipped countless items To all parts of the world and never had a problem. Some of these items were very fragile and again I sleep good at night knowing that I use them. The post office is absolutely brutal shipping some of my items and breaking things... In the past few months I thought I was saving money by shipping a few items that I thought I could do by myself only to find out they broke in transit... I use ASAP now all the time for any fragile/ big / tricky items .. they get the job done and they get it done right if anybody does not give these guys Five stars they are morons plain and simple you cannot get a better team than ASAP shipping... I must have used them 30 times or more in past 3 years and never once had a problem with breakage... and the items I'm using them for are big / fragile/ tough items to ship... again plenty of parking and super staff... read more

Shipping fees here are much more than they should be. The actual materials used (boxes, wrap, fill) aren't that great in quality, compared to other shippers, and certainly not worth a premium over USPS or UPS standard shipping fees. On a relatively light piece of plastic framed artwork (12" x 24"), I was charged $77 from NYC area to Miami. Actual shipping fees would have been less than half of that price. Pick-up and packaging fees, thus, are excessive. read more

Worst shipping experience I've ever experienced. I purchased an item from a local auction house on December 13 intended to be a Christmas present. I contacted all of their recommended shippers - all the prices were approx. the same, so I went with the shipper that responded the fastest - ASAP shipping. Dennis from ASAP was incredibly responsive via e-mail, yet the issue was that he kept telling me that he was going to pick up my item, when he did not. After a series of back and forths he said he would pick it up (12/20) - I still didn't hear from him. I reached out to the auction house to check if he had done so - they informed me that someone had picked up the item on 12/20. This brought me back to ASAP trying to figure out what was going on. Early January - still nothing. Then I started calling, I spoke to John (owner), Angel, and one other gentleman - no one knew where the item was and Dennis was on vacation. Finally, Dennis returned from vacation, I called - he confirmed that he did NOT have the item. He (allegedly), then picked it up, informed me he had the package and needed payment. I reached out requesting a discount for all of the issues - "no discount, please send payment so that I can ship your item". John picks up, I explained the situation, gave him my credit card information, he told me he'd try to help me out. Apparently I should have received a Square invoice - never received it. After 1.5 months, 20 emails and 10 phone calls, received my item yesterday. DO NOT USE ASAP SHIPPING. read more

Everyone that works here is down right miserable to be alive. Anytime I come into this establishment I'm met with rude, unhappy, and thoughtless employees who don't even care to acknowledge your presence when you walk in or are speaking to them. John especially is a certified GRUMP who overcharges for notary services (in New York you cannot charge more than 2$ per signature yet John charges 4$!!?!). If you need a notary go to Chase bank across the street, they do it for free! read more

Each time I asked for a shipping quote, Dennis would always send me a kind & timely reply. His quotes are very competitive, payment was super easy & a receipt with a tracking # was always emailed to me. GREAT SERVICES all around! And, my items have always arrived well-packed & safe. I have never been treated so poorly in a store as I was in ASAP earlier this week. After waiting a good 5 plus minutes, masked, in the sweltering store with no one in site, I kindly said "excuse me" to the man in the back to ask if I could just leave my 10 pre-paid packages somewhere. His response, accompanied by an eye roll, was a sarcastic "I'm sure it's MUCH more important than what I'm working on!" I walked out with a thank you but no thank you, and I will never step foot in there again. There is no excuse to treat a customer in this manner. read more

Make sure you Never have a Claim for Damage when you use these guys for packing and shipping. They will never pay..no matter who you Insure with..and they will Not help you collect on a claim for something they packed and shipped that came damaged. Not reliable. read more

These guys were never overly friendly but it was at least easier than going to the post office. Not anymore. When I walked in and said good morning today I got a grunt from Peter. I then waited a long time and was treated as if it was the end of a very long busy day but it was 10:30 on a Monday morning and nobody else was there! I'll go to the post office next time. read more

I purchased a valuable vintage jade lamp and because the auction house recommended this company, I used ASAP for the pick up and delivery. ASAP picked it up on July 11th and Dennis took my payment on July 12th after which he emailed me the FEDEX receipt for shipping. The next day he cancelled the FEDEX shipping and I have not received my item. At no time did he or anyone else contact me. I spoke to the owner John yesterday who said he would look for my lamp and said he would contact me and if it was lost he would reimburse me. I told him I don't want to be reimbursed, I want my lamp. John did not return my call today, so I called John who told me they cannot find this lamp. I told him I don't want to be reimbursed as I want the item found and shipped to me. When I said I would have to report this to the police and the BBB he said he go very irritated and said he was terminating my call. Which he did. How can a shipping company lose a 36 inch high lamp? What recourse do I now have? This is the worst and rudest shipping company I have had the misfortune to use. Future shippers Beware. read more
