This place is alright. The workers here are cool, but I rarely show up when it's open. I usually go after hours and send packages through the machine. The only thing I don't like is that they don't keep the priority mail boxes near the machine, so you have to go pick them up when the post office is open or you have to drive all the way to the Chino Hills post office to get them. I usually stop by a couple times a week to drop off letters inside. Usually fine and easy. Had a weird experience the other day with an adult and a child standing outside the door selling standard grocery store candy. Seemed very off-putting. Said I didn't have cash and they encouraged me to venmo them $10. Not sure if this is even allowed at the post office. I'm not against supporting local communities, tables, whatever, but at the post office I'm trying to run a simple errand and go, & it seemed most people who were stopping were rather startled/confused by the display. I usually expect that kind of thing outside of grocery stores/retail stores. Very strange they would allow that. I also strongly advise against venmo-ing strangers for unknown causes. Felt very sketchy in my opinion. I no longer hand out cash or take out my wallet for things like this because really anything can be a scam these days. And anything can be snatched when you're not paying attention. Very sad but true. I feel bad saying no, but these tables always make me feel so uncomfortable so I try to avoid them. I've had bad experiences with fumbling with my wallet, dropping my cash or phone, not paying attention to my surroundings because of the distraction, and even being tricked into registering to vote from tables similar to this (in other places). Don't stop or SIGN for anybody. You just never know, especially with how scary times are. Can't trust just anybody. Just say no thank you, and if they continue to pester, walk away. I had to share my experience on how USPS really f-ed up. Before I went out of the country for a month, I had submitted a request on the USPS to hold my mail while I was gone, with the arrangement to have it delivered upon my return. I came back and when I checked my mail a couple days after I expected the mail from the past month to be delivered, I found it to be for only a span of few days. I waited a couple of weeks and emailed the post office to ask since it seemed that I should've had a lot more mail in my mailbox. I got a generic email from the supervisor there stating they had mistakenly returned all the mail to the senders, because they thought I "abandoned the address." A lame excuse followed by another generic "copy-and-paste" response that didn't even apply to the situation (something about a pick-up option not being available for this situation so don't show up at the post office). I'm so pissed especially because I had received an email from a vendor stating a check was delivered to me (by mail, unfortunately). It's going to be a pain in the butt to track that down and try to get that check back to me. Moral of the story: don't hold mail with USPS; or if you do, maybe it's better to arrange to have it held and go pick it up yourself, and not trust them to deliver it to you (which is their job). read more

Sent a certified letter in October. It's January and recipient hasn't received it. I understood that the carrier dropped a notice, although the receiver said he got nothing. I paid for a return receipt but they made no effort to contact me and didn't bother to return the letter back to me. Called this post office regarding this letter days ago. Person said he will call me back and hasn't. This is the kind of service one can expect from this place. read more

I normally don't write reviews. But i am so unsatisfied this time. Three days ago I went to that office to send a package, it was not my first time. It was 4:30 and a middle age African American female worker told me I should use drop off service. So she took my package and told me I'm good to go. After three days, my package still did not show up on the tracking system. (Eventually if it went through a scan center there will be update on the the tracking system) but nothing show up. So today I went to the office again, and that middle age African American female worker acts like she forgot everything. And sadly I do not have a evident the package is shipped here. They don't allow their consumers use the tap which is put on counter!!! For mailing my box, I only can buy their tap which cost me nearly $5!!!!! Raul who will call you a liar when you tell him your previous bad experiences (most of the same problem) will then tell tell you he doesn't like being called a lair when you remind him he told you he was the postmaster several times on previous calls. This after he finally gave me the number to the postmaster and stopped saying he was the postmaster. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ What's worse than the lack of service is the attitude and character of the employees from on location to carriers. I was once called a liar by a carrier who wrote a door tag without knocking. If your expecting a package that requires signature, wait outside your door or they will just assume your not home and drop a door tag. No point calling, I've called for 2 and a half hours with no answer. They will however take the phone off the hook to stop calling. Employees lie and if you know better they will give you attitude, yell and cut you off to continue the same lie and offer no assistance because the supervisor is never in. Its best to go in to attempt to resolve a problem they will not let you speak to a postmaster on the phone. Whoever answers the phone will say they are the postmaster. If your mailing more than one package at a time, do separate transactions or it is a high chance they will all be sent to the same place. I no longer mail or buy anything at this location since they sent my package in a circle between three machines in the same location for a week (7 days). Then told me I had to pay for a print out of the package history and pay for the same shipping I attempted before. One of the worse post offices around. There are several employees who just hate life and everyone there. They give you attitude even if the problem is their fault. They never accept mistakes and always point fingers at another employee. Even my mailman talks crap about the employees there and how they blame the mailman's for the majority of complaints. For some reason it always cost more to post anything oversea here than at the Brea Post Office. Also it takes longer to get to its destination. For instance on 5/19/2016 I had to post a 1st class letter to New Zealand. I went to Diamond Bar Post Office and it cost me $2.38. On 5/20/2016 I realized I forgot to sign one document so had to resend. This time I went to Brea Post Office and it cost me $1.98. The other significant point is the 2nd letter from Brea Post Office arrived on 6/3/2016 while the first letter from Diamond Bar Post Office has still not arrived. Also mail deliveries to my home address are atrocious. I at least once a week get my neighbors mail while he gets mine. Another instance I was at home and the Postman did not ring my bell to receive a registered mail. I just got a card in the mailbox and had to wait in line the next day at the Post Office to collect. read more

It's been FOREVER since I've been in or around a Post Office. I rarely receive mail, let alone send it via the snail so when I realized that I needed to go I chuckled and hauled myself down the street. It was on a brisk January afternoon when I stopped in. The parking lot is a but of a PITA (pain in the... well, you know) as it's one-way and awkwardly shaped, but I survived. I found a spot right close to the door and headed inside. The line I waited in was two people long and there were four post-people working. the line was maybe a minute long, I definitely can't scoff at that. I walked timidly up to the post-lady when it was my turn. I set the fifteen Thank-You cards I'd gotten for my students down on the counter and told her that I needed stamps (I got the cards for the kids who got me a Christmas gift, showing them that A) snail mail isn't dead B) a thank-you can go a really long way, and C) little gestures can make all the difference). She immediately picked one up and commented on how cool they were, I agreed with her saying that they were the perfect card for my personality and for my students (if you're wondering, they're super-hero thank you cards from Target). After we made small talk about the coolness of the cards and how the thank you card is dying out, she opened her drawer and helped me pick out the perfect sheet of stamps for the cards. We agreed that Disney was the way to go as roses, flags, and tigers didn't really match the envelope (it was all decked out in super hero goodness). I ended up getting twenty stamps for $9. I'm no mathematician but that sounds like a decent price considering what postage is up to. I super stamped my super envelopes and sent them on their super way to my super students. The service was A-1, primo, top notch. The parking lot was tolerable. The whole place was clean and efficient. I can't see why I'd avoid this place in the future seeing how it's so close to my school, I just don't mail that often. The Filipino man here is so fucking rude and dumb. He can't differentiate between priority express and priority overnight, doesn't even know of USPS's block policy, he asks for "Patrice" to come over and help him, she ignores him, so he is super frustrated and rolling his eyes at me as if I was doing something wrong by asking a question. USPS is always my last resort anyway, I only ever use FedEx but one of my client's has a block policy with USPS so I unfortunately have to show up here every once in a while. Absolute worst post office you could visit. It is the kind of service you get here that justifies the argument that the post office should be a private company with actual accountability. Nobody at this post office knows what STREET ADDRESSING is. They think EVERY PACKAGE is on a pallet and takes an entire day to sort. My packages are hand-delivered to associates at this post office then apparently thrown into a portal where packages are disappeared. UPS dropped off my package at 10:35 am and I showed up to this post office before 11 to prevent the package from being thrown into the portal to nowhere but of course nobody there could find it. UPS states someone signed for it but sure it must be on a pallet somewhere in the back. Post offices have become a joke that really need to be gutted entirely. If you visit your post office, you see signs that ask for your feedback. If you call customer service (good luck), you are told to take a survey. Does anybody actually care about how USPS customers are treated? My only hope is that USPS can be phased out by a private company that can do things right. read more

Bad, bad service at the Diamond Bar US Post Office. This post office would fail if it were a real business. A few of the workers are great but the large, blond postal worker was a nightmare. I came up to her station with my seven envelopes to mail. She told me that she couldn't help me with my seven flat rate envelopes. She took a long time explaining that it would take too long to process and she couldn't let the two people waiting in line behind me wait. She went on and on explaining and complaining she was just following policy. She told me that I would have to wait for the other postal worker to finish processing a huge batch of small packages before I could received any help. I asked her how many flat rate envelopes that she could process. She didn't know. How can she follow the policy if she is too lazy to know it? I asked if she could process two or three envelopes and I would just get back in the line and cycle through. She didn't like that idea and began complaining that she didn't think it was a good idea for me to use my credit card multiple times. By this time my seven envelopes would have been processed. I finally asked her to please stop talking and to just process a few of my envelopes and I would just get back in line. After helping the person behind me, she processed three envelopes. It took no more than 30 seconds. I went back in line, stood behind one person and cycled through once again back to the large nightmare-behind-the-counter. Since I was the last person she took all four flat rate envelopes but not without complaining. If she would just stop talking so much she could get her job done. But maybe this large nightmare-behind-the-counter would rather hear her own glorious voice instead of doing her job. How desperate is that? read more

Terrible service at this post office. I wanted to mail a package to another country. I asked the mail person if everything was correct. She looked at my package and told me how to fill out the form. She said when I was done she would help me. In the meantime she assisted another person. She also directed him to fill out some correct forms and while he walked away to fill out his forms she also walked away. She never told me she wasn't coming back. I didn't take long to fill out the paperwork so I stood their and waited for her and waited. As I was waiting another person came by and asked if I needed help. I told her I was waiting for the mail clerk who was helping me. She looked at me and said " Oh, that person went to lunch". Wow , it would have been polite to know this information. The new mail clerk looked at my forms and said "You need to fill these out correctly. She pointed to some spots and also walked away. At this point I walked out and went to Fedex. read more

Worst USPS carrier! - The carrier will not deliver our mail if an auto is parked near our mail box. He wants to be able to reach the box without exiting his vehicle. We live near a grade school and the parents park their vehicles in front of our mail box throughout the day. It is a public street with the mail box located on the sidewalk. Therefore, I cannot restrict anyone from parking near our mailbox. I have called our local post office to speak with his supervisor, but the supervisor told me she was unable to do anything about it, because it was his union right. Whatever happen to their motto: "Rain or shine, snow or sleet, we deliver your mail! (But just do not park a vehicle near your mail box) OH! the substitution-carriers always step out of their vehicle if they cannot reach our mail box. We always look forward to having our regular carrier on vacation or taking the day off, we cannot wait for him to retire. read more

I've gone to the post office several times to complain, Have gotten nowhere, I've spoken to my mail carrier, Supervisor several times and this was even more pointless and a waste of time. No one holds accountability for there actions here! All my mail is being sent back to sender and I'm getting late charges. I'm now calling the postmaster so someone acknowledges this huge mistake. I doubt its just the DB post office, I think its indicative of all post offices. They are so slow and it doesn't matter how many people are in line. The 2 reps continue to work at a snails pace. At least they have a line for "pickups only". Too bad you can't really see the sign. There were 2 a head of me in the "pick up" line. At least the rep got all the claim tickets for us in line, that actually saved a little time. She got our packages and instead of checking us out, she hands the packages to another rep. That rep is in a long conversation with a patron and doesn't see to care that we are waiting. The first rep comes back after about 5 minutes and is surprised we have not been serviced. Bad service and wasting time. Got a mail notice regarding to the missing delivery. Brought the notice to this P. O. in person and tried to get it ASAP. After waiting 10 mins in lane, I showed the pickup notice to the man (named Chao I believe but not sure), but he pointed to the window that with no one there, told me that the other lady will help me and asked me to wait again. After a while, because the lady was not available and she pushed me back to the same man again. Not only this, after he checked, he told me the package was not in the PO and I can't pick it up. I told him that I want to redeliver and leave item at my address, but he said NO and asked me to come again next time, with his impatient and impolite attitude. The notice has a option that to schedule the redeliver service and leave item without signature, but the man refused me to do it that way. RIDICULOUS. I came to the PO for nothing, and I have to come again for the whole process. read more

Absolutely the worst. Mail is being stolen from locked boxes, and the post office "supervisor" says nothing can be done. The boxes are undamaged, so this means a postal service master key is being used. Don't need to be Sherlock to figure out who is doing these thefts. I was about to make a mail deposit into the drive thru mailbox when a post office employee that was collecting mail from the other box told me it was too late for mail collection. What in the world was she talking about? I didn't ask her anything. I was doing my regular mail drop off after 5 pm. So I asked her what she meant. She said it was too late. Late for what?
