This is my neighborhood post office for the past 25 years. Today I go and wait in line for a while get to the counter and then I'm told that only one of the employees can do international so I'm asked to stand on the side and wait for that one since she was helping another customer. The employee handling international was processing so slow spelling every single word three times... After 20 minutes of wait I gave up and left. This is ridiculous. I don't understand why only one person should process international and this is only at this location.This location in general has really bad management. No wonder they close a lot of USPS stores out there. They're very slow and the waiting is very long. They're not efficient doing what they're doing. There was this one lady struggling to tape her big box of package and the cashier wasn't doing anything instead of just waiting for her to finish. She should ask her to step aside and helped other customers, such a waste of time! Now, I received a package back in Feb, yes 4 months ago. I've never received any notice until 3 days ago, I got a FINAL notice and when I requested to redeliver online, still, never received it. I went down and asked for my package and they had it. Not sure if I got lucky, but I had an overall pleasant experience with the employees in the office, so my review is based solely on the service I got at this location. My situation: I was expecting a package on Friday, but for whatever reason, mailman did not deliver it and claimed that there was no secure place to leave it, though I felt like the front door of an apartment complex was completely acceptable. Had a pink slip in my mailbox that offered redelivery that I could register online. I registered for Saturday, because that was the earliest they offered. Saturday rolled around, there were no updates to my tracking, so I had no idea where my package could possibly be. It was just stuck on "In Transit". This absolutely frustrated me because it was a fairly expensive package, I was "promised" a redelivery on the date I asked for yet it did not happen. Researched about this situation online, and it turns out this is fairly common. Rarely does redelivery result in success and is a headache to deal with, so I figured I would take matters into my own hands on Monday. Monday rolls around and I decide to call about the status of my package. I figured the moment they opened would be best because it wouldn't be as busy... also decided to maintain a polite, cheery attitude despite my frustration, because I'm pretty sure post office employees are equally frustrated dealing with so many unhappy customers and situations out of their control. Within 2 rings, someone picked up and the man was very polite to me. I told him my situation, and he transferred me to someone else who was equally polite and patient with my request. She was able to locate my package in the office and offered redelivery or pick up. I chose pick up option, because... quite frankly I will never do redelivery service again lol. Moment I got to post office, I was helped and successfully retrieved my package quickly. I even struck up a conversation with the front desk lady and we joked around a bit. I did not imagine my visit here would end so well, but I definitely left with a good impression. Working at a post office is not the happiest job on earth, I've been to many in my lifetime to know this, so naturally I don't expect employees to be all smiles and excellent customer service when I arrive. And I'm sure they deal with so many unpleasant people on a daily basis. I think if you just try to be as nice as possible despite your frustrations, you will get a friendly response in return. Worst customer service ever!!! I come here once every few months to do return shipment and this past time apparently they don't accept the return item anymore? Or the label? Not sure because the representative was not helpful at all!! She told me to get a new label even thought I explained to her I just printed it before I came... and took the next person while I was still standing there and told me to go figure it out! Whenever I go to USPS, I'm usually only dropping off packages so I generally never really run into issues besides the carrying container being too full. Because of this, my experiences are almost always really good and convenient. Out of my thousands of USPS visits, my average time spent there is probably about 2-3 minutes. Now when I do wait in line for services provided by the employees, I do understand why people have such bad experiences. The wait times are usually abysmal and the service by the employees is always a toss-up. Not to mention their prices are basically unreasonable (shipping prices are one of the worst inflated services out there). My recommendation for customers to have enjoyable experiences at USPS is to use self-service as much as possible! read more

We're live in south Diamond Bar. My mail was sent to the wrong address, and I received my neighbor's mail!! This has happened many times.

They have picked up my mail from my residence. Mail was literally handed to the mail women a rent check and it was lost. Still to this day never found and they did nothing. Also dropped off a broken cell phone to return and that was lost for over two weeks the manager here barely helped me. It took filling multiple claims and it suddenly was found. read more

Seems like the African American lady who seems to be in charge is the reason people come on here to leave a review. It's why I'm here. I've had it with her and her rudeness. Everyone else that works there is pretty nice but not ever overly friendly. (That's the reason for 2 stars. For the semi-nice postal workers.) Really boggles my mind how they're unable to deliver mail to the correct unit after years of delivery. Luckily half the time I have good neighbors who return my package after it was delivered to the WRONG address, and once they were able to determine through gps tracking that they misdelivered and we're able to retrieve the package, but seriously, they have ONE JOB. I am astonished that USPS is still in operations. It frightens me when UPS hands off to USPS in the event my package gets lost or delivered to a neighbor. read more

I usually come here only to drop off mail, but who mails much these days when you can do practically everything online? If you only have letters to mail and don't feel like stopping and getting out of your car, this location does have a drive-thru mailbox on the northern end of the parking lot almost to Albertsons. I used to have to come here to collect packages if the postman couldn't reach us to deliver a package that required a signature, but now I just have all of my packages mailed to my work address. So I'm not sure if the lines are long to see a postal worker at the counter. They used to be pretty friendly. read more

Worst customer service ever! I came to this post office for a dog hold on my mail around 4ish in the afternoon. I was next in line and went to a gentleman who was somewhat helpful, he then called to another person to help me out with my problem. Now let me tell you about this lady.. from the start she had the nastiest attitude I've ever experienced from somebody working at a post office. She was so rude and not in anyway helpful to what I was trying to resolve. She was rolling her eyes, throwing a paper she HAD to give me for my mail and asked rudely to see my I.D. She then had another customer trying to get a package and again with her attitude and facial expressions. I work in customer service so I know how it is to work with people, but to work at a customer service job to provide customer service that horrible is unacceptable. This post office needs to train their employees on how to treat the customers that are coming in with questions. Never again will I come back to this location. Period. This post office has it's ups and downs. Unlike some of the post offices I have been to, there's no one here to really "assist" you while you are waiting in line. You have to wait in line for every little thing. Even for a question. -_- I would strongly advise you not to come here if: 1. You want to open a PO BOX: Save your time and money. Do it elsewhere! You'll be so disappointed with the service. Every time I'm supposed to receive something there, it gets sent back to the sender. WTF? 2. Hate long lines: If you can't stand waiting in a long line, don't come here. You will wait at least 20 minutes, even if you are 4th in line! 3. Expect great customer service: Quite frankly, I have had my share of good service here, but most of the times, the service really sucks. The women here REALLY hate their job or something. If you land a guy to assist you, you're in luck. 4. Love getting ripped off on fees: So the stupid lady who works here told me a delivery confirmation will cost me $3.99 for sending a letter. WTF is she smoking? I told her it doesn't cost that much and she said it does. Stupid woman. 5. You don't have enough knowledge about fees w/ the Post Office: See #4. If you really don't mind waiting in a longer line and you prefer great service, go to the Rowland Heights Post Office. :) Other than that, it's the USPS. This is by far the slowest post office I've ever been to in my life. How do you have one person working the last hour? There's limited parking and terribly located. I waited in a long line to ship an international package only to be told at the counter, they don't accept international packages after 4:30 pm. I would've made it in that time frame if you didn't just have ONE worker. I wasted my time in a line that was to their gate and gas to get there, to be told I would need to come back tomorrow. If I could give negative stars, I would. This post office messed up a previous package in the past, so I'm never coming back here again. I would NEVER recommend anyone use this post office. This post office is not the place to go if you are in a hurry, especially if you need to use the restroom. Line at this location is always long. The guy with a pony tail is very helpful but he wastes a lot of your precious time because he loves to stamp your box 1000 times. Maybe they should issue him a rolling stamp that says first class so he call roll it around the box and this will save a lot of time. By having this tool, he probably will help out extra 50 customers per day. Best thing about this location is the automatic shipping machine. It's open 24 hours and it's very convenient to use. read more

I didn't receive my package and the package was marked delivered, I called to ask where they put the package, and got transferred around about 3-4 times. After around 5 total phone calls, all transferred to different people, I got this one lady who was really rude, and managed to shout something along the lines of "IF YOU DIDN'T GET YOUR PACKAGE THEN IT MUST BE LOST" and then hung up on me. Worst customer service each visit and phone call, specifically to female supervisor that works at the front most times I have come. Even asking a simple question is such a chore to these people. Customer service is an obvious part of the job description. If you can't or don't like it, then quit rather than make everyone else feel miserable. Also, I witnessed the delivery lady (has blonde hair with bangs) dropping people's packages haphazardly onto the floor without a care for what's inside. Her excuse when I confronted, in a nice way, was that her hands were full with her keys, phone & satchel. Seriously? She also doesn't like to knock or ring the doorbell when delivering things. Hence why my package was probably delayed bc she didn't bother to look that I gave consent to have my packages left at my door if no one answers. Hopefully a change in attitude and/or staff will happen. On a positive note, I called Chris (the manager) with all of my issues which he listened to, was very polite, & addressed all of my issues. I have to say this place is the best post office. I do come in everyday as I have lots of packages i ship. I noticed a lot of people seem to treat the staff a bit mean. A lot of times, its the customer that doesn't know how shipping works, and some even think its free. I have never seen them treat anyone unfairly. They always tell people to come back to the front once they are done filling out the information needed to ship the package. AS a lot of people come unprepared. It really depends on the day you come in and who helped you that will determine the service you get. You might be helped by the same person on a different day and get a different result. This locations seems a little understaffed for the size of the location and it is constantly busy. The speed of service is fairly quick it's just the customer service that can lack at times. If I have to ship something out I use a mom and pop down the street but if I have to pick up my mail I come here. Service is just dependent on the day and associate you work with. I now know why the USPS is in a deep, deep, deficit hole. It's not actually their mail delivery system, no it's their employees. Rather, it's CERTAIN EMPLOYEES. There are great people working at this USPS (my mailman is positively saintly for dealing with the packages I get, and he's always polite too!) and then there are idiots manning their front office. Again, there's great people working there. They just have questionable judgement letting the short, Indian woman stand at the front of the line and attempt to aid people. She doesn't have any customer service skills. Side note: So do you know it's illegal to solicit on federal property? (Solicitation in general is illegal if the owner of the property does not agree. So those people outside Target and stuff? Yeah. You can call the cops on them too.) So there's this family of three--a couple and what I presume is their child hiding behind the pay phone with the mother going, "hi!" to everyone passing by. Anyways, the post office doesn't care. So the cops have to show up and talk with them. read more

I had 2 billings (so far) that did not reach the intended parties as sent out last month. This has caused late fees and possibly a lowering of my FICO score. I believe these letters were deposited in the satellite drive by box at the post office, but not sure. This has never happened before but would appreciate cameras installed to watch over the box and view license plates if possible. read more

I had a very bad experience with the manager at the Diamond Bar post office named Patrice Yarde. She was very rude . I had a question regarding a letter that was returned to me and I had to place a new stamp and I had to remain it. She wouldn't take it and she wanted me to mail it in the drop off box outside because she said she doesn't want to be blamed if anything happens to it. Bad deliverers and office! I got a note to pick up my package at the post office but they couldn't find my package! Then they just unprofessionally wrote the website for me to file lost item request. I went back several times and they keep saying they will call me when they find it. Its been a whole week and I never heard back.
