Covington post office has misdelivered 4 packages in the past 3 years. Yes, I mean the tracking number shows it has been delivered, but NOT to my house. They were delivered somewhere else. They can do nothing except question the carrier. That always goes nowhere. Luckily I found 1 of them at a neighbor's house. And 2nd time a different neighbor called me with it. And the third time it showed up over 6 weeks later after it had been replaced by the sender. Fourth time........still waiting. Should I mention the ear-piercing high-pitched squeal in the entryway? *Edited* Make that 5 packages because it happened again today. Tracking number says it was delivered today, and I'm sure it was delivered somewhere, but NOT here :(( read more

My shipping needs are done with professionalism and friendly service at the Covington Post Office. I like the fact that they have supplies on hand to purchase. My favorite thing about Covington's Post Office is: I can ship most packages ( depending on size ) using the 24 hr self-help shipping station. Convenient location. Parking is always available. Only thing is that sometimes there can be long wait times when queuing in line.

Noticed ONE very disgruntled & abusive employee who seemed to have some major issues! I wanted to deliver a card from someone whom I had no idea WHO sent the card it must have been for a previous tenant. Easy right? Nope. When I appeared at the main front desk the postal clerk couldn't help he told me to go to a side door where you go to pick up special packages. I go over there and there are two other people ahead of me. Meanwhile there is a man & very surly at that who kept complaining & complaining. The man apparently was a postal employee who I guess was keeping watch to make sure that no one else would come inside the post office. The Post office was near closing. I simply didn't want to give him the card due to his hostile demeanor. Turns out I was right because the man guarding the door to the post office was in a really bad mood & it made me nervous. I heard him very nastily say to his coworker how he was tired of another coworker & he didn't say it in that way it was a little more nasty. Unprofessional. Felt like I was in jail. Oh, then there was the man standing in front of me who kept looking at me with this evil stare and I didn't know him at all. He looked as though he wanted to assault me. I got the heck out of there & just jumped the line to give the lady that 'return to sender card' I was feeling all kinds of uncomfortable. I will go to another branch even if its further out thank you very much. Hope that postal employee has a better day. Now I understand why the postal employees get a bad rep. read more

I am very upset with the Covington post office. Last week I put several Christmas cards in the mail that had gift cards inside. I double sealed the envelope by sealing the regular way and then putting holiday stickers to keep it sealed. The recipients got the xmas cards with the gift cards MISSING and the envelopes resealed with stickers. Since I mailed them directly inside the post office and they went to different cities, it is CLEAR that the malicious theft occurred in the Covington post office mail room. They need to do an investigation, I can't be the only one to have this occur. Disappointed, don't trust them now at all. Should have cameras in the mail room watching their employees handle the mail. read more

I would not go here to get your passport. I made an appt a month in advance and when I got there they were asking me questions as to why I didn't fill out the paperwork ahead of time (which I didn't know I needed to). Once I filled out the paperwork they told me I did the wrong one (which they had given to me). Then they told me I could just do the paperwork at home, fill it out and mail it myself. Then they went to take my picture and their equipment was broken and they didn't have ink. She tried to take the picture and made a rude comment about my appearance. So they then instructed me to go to Costco and get the picture taken there. So essentially the whole thing was a HUGE waste of time because they didn't help me AT ALL! Everything was something I could have done on my own. The person helping me was not nice at all. She acted like I was wasting her time when that is her job to assist people with their passport. read more

This is a very nice branch. The employees a very helpful. It's very convenient for getting your passport as well. The line goes fairly quickly there, avoid between 12-1 if possible. read more

I am very disappointed in the service provided. Package delivery especially, as that is usually more time sensitive for me. I have had many tracking "updates" be incorrect. They will say "delivery attempted" when no delivery was actually attempted. They will either leave a notice (without actually knocking or ringing the doorbell), or not even leave a notice at all. There is almost always someone home and they time stamp the status so you know when they didn't even try. The problem is, then they want you to reschedule or come pick up yourself, and their lines are very long. How can you trust that they will legitimately attempt to deliver with the re-schedule, when they didn't the first time? I will be doing my best to avoid using USPS service in the future and pay more to use FedEx and UPS who actually hold their employees accountable. I have had zero issues from them. read more

Would give 0 stars if I could. The employees were extremely rude and couldn't care less about how the package is handled or if it's labeled correctly. Terrible experience trying to ship a package here! The package label wasn't properly secured by the worker and when I asked for her to secure it well so that the package would make it to the destination....she just stared at me with no comment and her coworker just waved his hands for me to leave in a sarcastic "goodbye" kind of gesture. When I looked back she just left the package as is on the counter and proceeded to carry on a conversation with another employee about another customer (gossiping). I'm very disappointed as it has now been a few days since I've dropped off the package there and when attempting to track the package to see if it even got scanned to ship, nothing appeared. Now I have no idea where my package is or if it will ever make it to the final destination. Do not go to this post office! I have now lost money as this was a return item!! read more

This place is depressing. This place was built in 2000 and nobody takes care of it. The landscaping is all dead, the lighting inside is dark and dingy and it wouldn't hurt to go through the inside with a dust mop now and then. If you think you're going to get in and out quickly, that notion will be quickly dispelled once you step inside. Wait times are horrible and the staff are devoid of a sense of urgency. You are on their time schedule now and they don't care. I've seen on several occasions where both employees left the counter to find packages and were gone for minutes leaving a line of people looking at each other thinking "did they get lost back there?" I'd go to another PO, but it seems that all (yes, all) PO's are the same. read more

Worst post office ever. I'm a strong ebay seller and work down the street so it's the closest one to me otherwise I would never go in. Waited 50 minutes in line along with 40 other people. Line was out the door snd there was only one employee helping while the other two were sitting on chairs in the back. I even heard one say "this is why you don't go to the post office during lunch break." Why be open during lunch break then? I, like most people, work a 9 to 5 job and can only go during lunch. The staff here is extremely rude and disrespectful every time I go in they're putting somebody down and making somebody feel stupid. I will start going out of my way to go to a different location. read more

this branch is awesome!! I live closer to the Kent branch, but this post office is way better, and my branch of choice. the staff are friendly and quick. the lobby is spacious so I can shop without squeezing between customers in line, and there is plenty of parking. read more

I had a passport appointment at 2pm today. I arrived at about 1:50 as recommended on their website to be 10 minutes early. The lady behind the counter told me that the person doing the passport service is out for lunch. She will be back soon. So I waited until 2:10, and she had not show up. The lady behind the counter called me over to explain that the person supposed to be off at 1:50 and that's why she was running late. At this point, I was upset because of the two different excuses that she gave me. I told her that I am not concern about her co-worker's schedule. I need someone to help me because I have an appointment. And I was early too and waited for 20 minutes now. Then she got the nerve to say, "Excuse me, don't you appreciate what I am explaining to you. You don't have to talk like that." I was furious when she said that to me. I responded by saying that I have every rights to express myself. And she kept going on and on to another customer about me not showing her appreciation. At this point, I walked away from her and other passport customers started to show up as well. We all started to complain about their lateness. At 2:15, the passport servicer showed up with a straight face and no apology for being late. She reluctantly helped me and talked to me with a death tone voice. I only go to this place because it was the closest post office to Auburn that does passport. Absolutely, the worst customer service experience ever! read more

So far I am not pleased. Moved here and was not given a key by my realtor for my condo. Left a note on the box for the mailman and it was never read. Then I went to the post office which is very close, paid 50.00 to have THEM change the lock. The nice lady said the guy was not busy and it should be done in a day. Never heard back from them. Called and a nice man in the back tried to help-transferred me to probably that same lady who said she was busy helping people in line and would call me back. NEVER DID. Monday I will go in person and be VERY ANGRY. read more
