Lost my mailbox key for my neighborhood bank of mailboxes. Went to this post office & completed a request to have my mail delivered to this post office until I could get locksmith to come. Went to pick up my mail at this post office 4 days later & there was none. They kept delivering it to my locked neighborhood mailbox. Today I was able to get locksmith to open & replace the lock. He found mail in my box even though it wasn't supposed to be delivered there. Went to this post office today to stop my request to deliver my mail to post office & they couldn't even find my request nor was there any mail being held for me. Such a disappointing experience. They have a 'who cares' attitude too. read more

I didn't know anything about Kent before a friend of mine tried to send me a package. It went from Lynnwood to Kent. It has been in Kent for about a week now. WHY? Who else has an employer who lets them sit of their rear ends for a whole week? Now, after reading from the people here, I worry I may never get my packages. read more

Horrible. The best part about moving from Kent was not having to deal with this horrible post office. I used to get prescription drugs from the VA I'd have to sign for. The mail carrier would lie and say I wasn't home and the post office would lose my meds. One time the horrible white lady working there decided to make a scene when I told her I better not have to wait in line again since they lost my meds. I should have filed a complaint to her boss then. I now live in a small town where the post office workers are nice and helpful. Kent has gone down hill tremendously compared to 30 years ago. read more

You know, I've been here many times before and never had a problem. I mean, I'm not even having a problem right now, but there's a man very upset right now, and the postal worker just called this person weird. And told him he was being condescending. I understand that it's hard dealing with customers, but you should never talk to a customer like that. It only escalates the situation, which is exactly what it's doing right now. read more

I would give this post office a complete zero if I could I've had more of my packages go to people a little while away from me that's close to my address. Nothing has ever been done. this is not a regular driver's fault he is outstanding. Whoever fills in for him is not worth a damn. my package from my sister that came from California for Christmas. I was a little taken aback by Lynn's repeated questions about the "from" address on the package I was sending back home. During my response she just stopped talking to me to respond to her coworker while I was asking her why she was asking if my "from" address was a trailer park. In the midst of my being a little annoyed and surprised, her coworker and the customer he was helping then sided with Lynn. Lynn, now flustered, that I was telling her that she was ignoring my issue, raised her voice and said "I'm sorry for asking a stupid question!" And then lowered her voice to say "Have a nice day." The customer that was being helped by Lynn's coworker then turned to me as she was walking out calling me an "a_ _." read more

I know it had to be a different deliver diver today. Cause the mail lady that delivers to my apartments if she doesn't leave it in my.lock box she leaves it at my door and whoever delivered the mail today was just to lazy to either leave it in my lock box or at my door I been tracking that package waiting for it. Now I have to wait till Monday and go pick it up cause the mail man or lady wants to be lazy read more

Worst customer service ever. Wait, there isnt customer service here, it's just "service" and that's giving them too much credit. Everyone that works here is depressed and angry at everyone that walks in. Not just me, I've seen the workers here treat people like crap that comes in for no reason. I dont understand why they're so angry. We come here because it's a 5 minute drive but it's probably not worth it anymore. When our postage was short on our wedding invitations, the worker didnt even offer the difference in postage. He just gave it back to us and yelled "next!". Found out, you can purchase the difference in postage! (We dont use stamps often) Now we have to take time to try and mail them out another time! read more

This YELP is for the Kent WA Post Office! My very LARGE Priority package containing a large antique clock that WAS shipped from Sequim WA on 9/3 to San Francisco CA. for arrival on Sept. 8. It subsequently arrived at the Kent WA Post Office, which is apprx. 110 miles away from Sequim, and it either NEVER left that KENT Post Office in 5 days OR it did leave and it made a ROUND TRIP BACK to the KENT P.O. Tracking still says Delivery on Sept 8 up to 8 o'clock pm. I'm not seeing good results for this fragile package. Now I learn that the shipper was aware this particular Post Office has 'issues'. Under the 'circumstances', this package should have been shipped VIA FEDEX OR UPS! Actually, this package could have been shipped USPS Ground and arrived in San Francisco in 3-4 days. Way to go USPS! 9/8/20 Follow up: I have just been informed that the clock will now be delivered on 9/12, which equates to 9 days incl. the labor day holiday. Four additional days to deliver a priority package that I paid $49.00 to ship 849 miles from WA to Northern CA. Yeah, save the USPS but get NEW MANAGEMENT!!! read more

If I could give this POS post office a zero I would. At the end of December they lost my mortgage payment that I dropped off. I received a possible foreclosure notice from the mortgage company. I had to hire a lawyer to resolve the issue. It cost me $330 to get the issue taken careof. I will never use this post office again. I want to speak to the post master to redress my grievances. This was unacceptable at best, but in the end it cost me $330!!! read more

Had a package that they tried to deliver Wednesday. Wife was gone for a bit. I came home and found PS Form 3849 on my front door. Signature was required, so they left the form. It said could request redelivery. Fine. I followed the prompts from USPS website, checked availability and it said it could be redelivered. Next day. Super, finished filling out the info, got a Confirmation Number and it was scheduled for the next day, Thursday. It's 10;30 PM and I'm pretty sure they aren't coming tonight. Did I mention we were home all day because of their confirmation to deliver? I tried going online to check and it said redelivery service was available...oh wait, it said it wasn't... Looks like Kent did their job (they tried to deliver) but the website failed miserably. I'll just go in tomorrow and hope the package is there. read more

Worst office I've been in. Lose packages or send it to the wrong address and will blame it on you or the sender every single time. It's never their fault, you either come to late or too early. Came here last week and wasn't given information for a package sent to an address that turned out to be to a hedge between a pharmacy and a bank... neither of the businesses had it. Came the following week and I was "too late they delivered it" to a random apartment complex that they would not give me the information for. Asked me why I didn't come earlier. 3 asian women with no manners or English, running the day to day in a U.S. post office... it's nuts. read more

My mail box where I live was a target of mail thieves who tried to drill the master lock. Mail carrier unable to unlock and deliver my mail. I was directed to go get my mail from this post office. First of all, 2 ladies to help allot of people but unfortunately these ladies are not into customer service. They are both not very helpful and not nice to the customer. I was flat out told by I think her name is Janice, (her name tag was blocked) that I cannot come check my mail everyday. My daughter came the day before and had a horrible experience with both these ladies. My son in law as well received horrific treatment by this facility and these two ladies. I unfortunately have to come and be subjected to rude treatment just to get my mail. They tell you I can only get mail for you not the address, but the day before they gave it to my daughter and did bring me everyone in my household's mail. I even got a tax return for some guy who no longer lives at my address. Anyway no consistency with what they say and do, just be nice to people! I'm not being rude to you. I cannot help it that that I have to come get my mail. It's really the worst. Considering renting a PO Box from UPS store nearby to avoid mistreatment from this facility. read more

I was in line and looking at boxes. The Asian lady in the counter started yelling out at me that there is only one line. I told her if she paid more attention that I am in line looking at boxes. She need to tone down her voice when talking to customers, we are not deaf. This kind of customer service should be dealt with. And it's inappropriate for her to start speaking her dialect to a customer while in a present of people speaking English. read more

Every time I've been here the workers have been nice and helpful. They are always so busy and I'm sure it's hard dealing with all the customers and pressures, people should be a little kinder to the workers. I had a lost package one time and one of the women went out of their way to help me find it and bring it to me. Thank you! read more

I don't know what is going on with the route for our mail delivery but, we are very frustrated with the carrier. We have shown mail on the informed delivery Dash Board since Tuesday 8/20/24 of mail that should be delivered. We have checked every day since and none of the pieces have been delivered. This is the 3rd time important mail has been toggled on the Dash Board to alert us and not shown up. I have lodge a complaint online and by phone. Our mail should not be held or just not delivered for any reason. We have the Informed Delivery App for a reason. I am expecting a call from the Customer Service Corporate so I can speak with someone. I just tried calling the Local number 253-850-1459 and it rings and rings and then states restrictions on the call??? We have had issues in the past and this needs to be resolved we should be able to count on the Local Post Office to deliver the mail on time and consistently. I will be taking this matter further if need be. We have lived at the same address and every name listed on the mail box lives there and has for years. We are tired of not receiving our mail and being given excuses about the carriers. I want this to be addressed by a Supervisor. You scanned the items we are suppose to receive why have they not been delivered to our address??? Very disappointed in this Local Post Office they need to address these issues. We have received no mail this week except, for advertisement which I can do without. I have marked everything on the Dash Board not received and we want this delivered. If we find that this was held by the carrier for any reason there will be an escalation on our complaint. We get the excuse that the carrier can't access the mailbox the mailbox is on the road and they can definitely access but, they chose not to. We have even told a few of the carriers since we don't seem to have a consistent same carrier they can pull down the driveway and turn around if it is easier since we live on a busy street. When we lived in Renton prior we never had this issue it seems to be this Local Post Office in Kent and I don't seem to be the only one that is having issues with the mail. Please take this review seriously and try and investigate what the problem is with us receiving our mail consistently. We are concerned now that our mail has been delivered to the wrong address and this is causing an issue with the important pieces of mail we are expecting. I'm out of town alot so, yes my mail may not be picked up right away, I have always gotten my mail for the last 6 years with the same routine. Today I go to my mail box and there is a red card stating possible vacancy. WHAT THE HECK, I filled out the slip and put back in the mail box. I have tried to get ahold of the postal service located on 240th in Kent. I have gotten hung up 3 times and when called back there was no answer. I have never had any problem with this postal service and always heard bad and horrible things about this station. I plan to leave work early to deal with this situation I'll write another review depending on the outcome. read more

I'm sorry, but if you work in customer service, nowhere during a conversation with a customer should you say, "it's customers like you who make our jobs harder." Very poor service, they held my mail, then delivered my mail. But then without authorization my mail carrier decided to hold my mail, which has made a few of my bills late. Who holds them accountable? When they send your mail WITH the hold request stating you are off hold, then they should stop holding the mail. Who pays for the late fees? This is not good! What does this do to my credit rating as my bills were always paid on time. The only reason I got my mail today is because I had to ask why I am not receiving mail. Shouldn't someone wonder why this persons mail is piling up? What is the recourse as this is very frustrating. Very poor service. read more

I just stood in a 20 minute line to ship a box and get holiday and international stamps. The box was shipped, but they DON'T have ANY stamps. And, I was told that they haven't had any for more than 2 weeks. This is the main USPS office for Kent, there is no excuse for NOT ordering stamps. I recently moved here from across the country, so we got a post office box while we were in transition. The location is convenient to get to our mail. Additionally, I have never had to mail gifts back home before, so I came here with 9 boxes to send out. The ladies that work here are so kind and really try to help people while doing their crazy stressful jobs. The lady that assisted me (I'm sorry, I didn't catch her name), gave me great information about sending future packages back home and saved me tons of money by using their "anywhere boxes". I really appreciate her helping me and for the kind service I always get at this location. I understand many customers can get upset with the post office, but we need postal workers! This location in particular is extremely busy and has a lot to manage. Please be understanding of their protocol and workload as they serve us all through rain, snow, or shine! read more

I don't live here, but I sent a package to a customer who lives here. They lost the first package. I had to remake all of the products and reship it. The second package is late and just sitting at their post office. These are either lazy people who don't want to deliver packages. Or criminals who keep stealing peoples packages. I wish I would have read the messages here before shipping to a customer in Kent Washington via USPS. I've been shipping products for years and I've never ever not once had this issue. So twice in a row to the same customer and the packages are all in limbo at this post office. Now the customer is upset and blaming my business when it's this stupid post offices issue. Never ever ship product through this post office. I'm going to report them to the OIG. Someone has to take all of our complaints seriously. i've had the worst experience of my life dealing with this post office, they have lost five of my packages for various reasons, and I also have one that's been out for delivery now for four days, when you call, you cannot get anyone on the phone, I just feel like maybe the training is not right at this location, it's better to use FedEx or UPS, they have never lost my package ever, only dealing with the United States post office have packages been lost. I feel like it is unfair for them to lose your packages and it's like oh well, there is no conversation just talk to the merchant to try and get a refund for our poor customer service I will never use the United States post office again . So far so good ! I've been into plenty of USPS locations and most of them have stank attitudes all around. The people here are friendly and very helpful. Line also moves pretty quickly and they make the effort to have an employee float and help out ppl who only have a quick question so that you're not stuck waiting unnecessarily. read more

I never had a problem here before until today . My tracking shows that my package arrived 2 weeks ago but I never received it nor a notice. I had a same experience that my package supposed to be arrived 2 months ago and has been in the post office without any notice . So I went to the post office this time and ask the lady if she can find me this package , she was like it's been a while and they may not remember about it . I ask again if she can check if it in the post office , and she seems annoyed " I SAID YOU ARE LATE WE DONT REMEMBER ABOUT IT", then she wrote down my tracking number and walk away . Since my apartment office doesn't accept the packages cuz of COVID-19, I have to go pick up at the post office. Even if the small package that can fit in my mail box, that don't ship it to you nor leave at the front door. They said it is not part of their job to delivery directly to you. Once, my tracking said attempted to delivery and I went to see if my get the notice but it didn't. Look like they just scan it keep it at the office and take only mail for delivery. The Saga Continues.... So this is an ongoing problem, years infact, with the worst post office in America. And, likewise, we also have a nightmare postal woman. First she literally complain to us about how she has too much work to do while everyone's mail gets delivered to the wrong address. It has everyone that lives in the condos here constantly giving each other everyone else's mail or it just lays strewn about all over the top of the mailboxes. Now, this mailman said she cannot walk up a flight of stairs to deliver a box so our condo put in brand new mailboxes to suit the size of large packages, medium packages, and small packages. Still this woman will note that she attempted to deliver a box and say that she left a note in the mailbox stating undeliverable when there was no notes left at all and why would she need to leave a note when the package literally fits inside the mailbox.... read more

RUDE RUDE RUDE!!! DO NOT ABIDE BY THEIR OWN POSTED HOURS!! The lobby of this post office used to be open 24 hours a day, which was great because I have a business P.O Box here, and I get off work late. Due to "security issues," they changed the lobby hours around mid-2014 to being open until 9:00 pm Mon-Fri, open 'til 6:00 pm on Saturdays, and closed altogether on Sundays. Hey, I get it, Kent ain't what it used to be, we wanna keep everybody safe, cool beans. What is NOT cool is that they are unable to adhere to their own posted hours!! This past fall, after rearranging my Saturday so I could be sure to stop by the post office before the lobby was supposed to close at 6:00 pm so I could use the kiosk to mail a package, and arriving at 5:30 pm, I was dismayed to find the doors locked. So were the three other cars that rolled up shortly after me. My spouse was also in the car with me. Unsure who I should provide feedback to about this (this not being the first time they had closed early), I sent a very polite e-mail through the customer service section of the USPS website. The next day, I received an ANONYMOUS reply that said I was mistaken, that the doors had been open until 6:00 pm. Boy was I livid. I know damn well that they closed early that day, there were several witnesses to corroborate this, and so did this coward, who would not even provide me with their name. He/she probably skipped out early and lied to cover their own behind. I eventually cooled off and moved on......but lo and behold, yesterday. 01/05/2015, I stopped by, again with my spouse in the car, at 8:17 PM, and the doors were locked. So they were closed FORTY THREE MINUTES EARLY this time. The postmaster's info is posted on the door. I've thought about calling to complain to him, but I am afraid there is probably a very good chance that he doesn't give a damn either. This time, as with the previous time, there were other people that pulled up and tried to go in as well. It was two men, both of whom had packages to mail. It would be a huge pain to move my P.O. Box and tell all of my customers I am moving, but every time this crap happens I think about it more. It really burns me that they get hundreds of dollars from me every year, and will basically call me a liar if I call them out on not adhering to their posted hours. I really wish the U.S. would go the way of Germany and have a private company (DHL) handle their postal service. These government employees simply could not care less. AVOID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

I have a PO Box at the post office on 240th St in Kent. I drove from Tacoma to Kent to pick up my mail I arrived at 8:33pm and the lobby door was locked. The posted hours for the lobby are 9pm and there are employees working in the back, they shouldn't lock the doors early. Now I have to waste time and gas going back, that is if the doors are open by the time I can get there. I've only got a couple of months left and I will definitely be renting a box with 24 hour access in Tacoma. Good riddance to USPS in Kent. read more

Every single time I have gone to this location I have had a bad experience. The customer service is A W F U L. One woman in particular is always rude to customers, and unfortunately I've seen her every time I'm there. During the holiday season she berated the last person in line (who had arrived at least 5 minutes before closing time) for not planning ahead and coming earlier in the day. During that same visit she refused to help a customer who bought stamps at the machine in the lobby, and the machine gave her the incorrect product. Whenever possible, I avoid going to this location, even though it is the closest one to my home. read more
