You should book a passport appointment and just wait the 2 months. They advertise "walk ins" and a 3 hour window but will only take 2 people as the employees also use this as their break and lunch period. They should advertise that as well, but don't. I have never had a problem with receiving mail/packages until I moved to Covington. My packages are constantly getting miss delivered. I don't think this center cares at all. Anytime wherever I order from gives me to option to choose what kind of shipping I would like I choose anything else besides usps even when it's $20 or more to ship with other delivery services because I'm afraid I will not receive my items. read more

Why would you take passport appointments during your ONE day of walk-in services? Website says each person should take 15 minutes.... Each person is about 30-45 minutes. I got here at 9:45 (walk-ins start at 10) and stood in line until the very end. Workers were literally just standing there staring at the line not calling anyone then would walk into the back. A guy who I assume is the manager, came out, looked around and then went into the back. Absolutely insane service. I would never send someone I deeply hated here. 1: Placed an online order for package pickup. No one comes. Place another order. No one comes. I go to drop off the package on-site and they're closed. 2: Get a notification that an attempt was made to deliver my husband's meds. We have a Nest camera and NO ONE actually attempted anything at that time, and we were home. Same thing occurred for a certified letter. This has happened multiple times. We work from home and have dogs - no way would we have missed a knock on the door. 3: We've called and placed complaints and were told that the meds would be delivered. They were not. So one more day without meds and had to go during work hours and wait in line. I get it. Post pandemic service is off. But this is a government agency and I've never experienced anything like this. My mail delivery was just switched from Maple Valley po to Covington post office. I thought my mail delivery was mediocre through my past delivery location, but Covington post office is even worse. My last delivery contained sensitive electronics. My neighbor found the package near his gate in the rain and in a mud puddle. Good luck getting your mail. They only bring mine every few days. I signed up for "informed delivery" because i felt like i wasn't getting all my mail- i was right. My informed delivery will show 4-10 mail pieces, they'll come by and drop off 1 or 2, or none at all. I'll report the other ones as missing (like my IRS refund check for example)... never hear back about it. I'm not sure where the rest of my mail ends up. I dread ever having to go into that post office because i dont even know where they found the people that work there. Customer service is a 0/10. Its incredibly frustrating. read more

It's hard to imagine a post office being worse that this one. Constantly mis-delivering our mail & packages no matter how many notes I leave, phone calls I make, or multiple visits to speak to the office manager. This has been going on since before Covid - shockingly enough. Thankfully, I have honest neighbors who will bring us our mail & packages, and we do the same, but the ridiculousness of this has long since passed and we've just resolved at this point to use them as little as possible if we have control over it. Bills have all been switched over to paperless and when there's an option, we pay more for shipping so it's a different carrier. The goal is to basically I my have junk mail coming to our mailbox. Never in my life have I experienced such terrible customer service in a post office! The delivery driver puts mail in the wrong box and you'd be lucky if you ever see it. He is rude and made an extremely feeble attempt to try to find my mail. One of the pieces was a check I had been waiting on. I went to the post office to complain and the so called "supervisor" TRIED to tell me that "informed delivery doesn't mean it will be delivered that day". That's a load of garbage, because the mail that showed up on the "informed delivery" site this morning, was delivered a few hours later. I ALWAYS get my mail the SAME DAY that it shows up on the "informed delivery" website. She also tried to tell me that the driver doesn't have the time to look for my mail that HE didn't deliver. Well, that's not my problem! Do your freakin job right the first time! Oh, and don't count on them to deliver packages. That's another bs story in itself. This is a constant problem! These people are extremely incompetent, rude and unprofessional. They need to be replaced with people who know what they're doing. The hours at this location have become more and more limited even though the customer service line is NEVER less than 7 people waiting. I don't always have a letter/package lost, but when I do it's because I dropped it off at Covington. The building itself looks nice, but the lines are slow and most of the employees hate life and want you to know it.. They're apparently terrible at the whole thing of delivering mail, too. The Covington Post Office does a HORRIBLE job delivering mail! I just received notification that my package was attempted but not delivered because my location was not accessible.... funny, UPS got my package here just fine the same day, and the rest of my mail was in the box!!! I absolutely love this post office, it's hidden away between kohl's and walmart. There is easy access into it and rarely a wait of more than 5 minutes (the Kent location can take 30 min to get through the line!). I purposefully drive to Covington because I know that I can get through the line in 1/2 the time and the service is always fantastic! read more

I bought a package and it says it was delivered to this post office and it's been 6 days and still haven't got my package (6 days it's been at the post office). It said the package was attempted but obviously not succeeded. I bought the item 10 days ago and the person i bought it from shipped it less than 48 hours. The roads are barely snowy and icy so that shouldn't be the reason i'm not getting my package... unless the drivers and scared of delivering in the snowy conditions. I'm about to drive there myself and get the package but i'm sure they won't let me pick it up. I just want my darn package! read more

I had a notice in the mail box, we have one of those neighborhood mail boxes down the street, the notice stated that the post office attempted to deliver a certified letter on a certain date and time and that no one authorized was available to receive the letter. Total lie! And not the first time this has happened. First off if you attempt to deliver you would leave the notice on the door.. oh wait! AND my Ring camera would see you at the time stated on the notice. At nearly the same time I was waiting for medications to be delivered from the VA (mine require a signature) the exact same thing happened. So I called and made a complaint. While on the phone I also arranged to have the certified letter delivery rescheduled. All was set, so I thought.. waited for the next two days. I did get the VA medications a day late but the certified letter delivery was again a no show. Tried to call and talk to customer service but the back log was so long I used the text option. Had to explain it all again, at least i was not texting a BOT. All around 100% the post office failed everyone. They failed the sender by not getting the letter to it's destination, they failed me multiple times and it seems there are no consequences. If it was a private company these people would have been fire 10x over! So pissed. read more

Covington branch has dropped off my packages in different addresses for the 3rd time! The last one was not received until now, gladly, the 1st two packages were received and retrieved! They won't take responsibility as their Mail delivery person would note that the package was delivered! They couldn't trace where they dropped off the package neither until somebody is honest enough to return the package to the Post Office! Talking the USPS Manager to fix these ongoing issues does not help neither! So, we loose our package and our money! read more

Went there yesterday to track down a "undeliverable" package and schedule another attempt or pick up if it was in the building. Was rudely interrupted by a different employee at a different counter about how I needed to go get in a different line to pick up my package. She would not even let me explain that I wasn't necessarily there to pick up a package, I was just there to try to figure out where it went and what happened. She then told the man that was helping me to just put the closed sign up on his window because I obviously wasn't going to listen or move and he didn't need to help me. At that point I left. To top all this off the only reason I even went in there in the first place is because I had been calling all day and nobody bothers to pick up the phone. I would give no stars if that was an option! The absolute worst driver on my route. I got a locking mailbox because of mail theft and because she didn't like it she stopped delivering my mail! "It takes too long to fold it" to push it through the slot if it is larger than 5 inches wide. That is her job what else does she have to do? Then she LEFT a package that would not fit in my mailbox locking or not, near the mailbox. It was stolen. My house is across the street from all of the mailboxes. I work elsewhere so I am not able to grab my mail whenever she leaves it and can't be bothered to put it on the porch. That is because I have a big dog that barks and jumps at the window, to date he has not opened the door or gone through the window. I also have a Ring doorbell and have seen her THROW a package on my porch. After that she just stopped delivering to my door and stopped delivering mail to my mailbox. Absolutely the worst post office experience. This is our local post office and we go here quite often, so when we arrived and the line was out the door, we were not surprised. The bad experience we had today was caused by the worker, Ronnie. She has never heard of customer service, appreciation, or probably the word "customer " in general. In fact, to her the people in line are probably "inconveniences." After waiting in line for approximately 20 minutes we got up to the counter, with 2 boxes and were wanting to buy stamps. We needed 1 piece of tape for the box. Ronnie told us, and I quote, "they don't give us that." I am staring at the tape roll behind her, as she says that. Instead her solution is to keep refusing about the tape, but she was willing to give us a roll of useless stickers... Then my buddy says CLEARLY that we want to pay for priority shipping had have insurance on both boxes.... She completed messed that order up and then got sour when we had to correct her. The only moment of positivity in her mannerisms was when we left the counter and she excitedly told us to have a good day. read more

This is the worst post office in the country. We get the wrong mail delivered if the mail is delivered at all. Our neighborhood hasn't had our mail delivered for 4 days now. Tried calling and the phone rings and rings then disconnects you after 25 rings. We actually got some congresswoman involved when this happened in December and we didn't get mail delivered for 2 weeks. We were told covid and snow were the reasons they didn't deliver the mail. We had 4 inches of snow and every other post office had no problem delivering the mail. You couldn't even go to the post office to pick up your mail. They didn't allow it. In the spring when we went 5 days without mail I was told our carrier was on vacation but our mail was being delivered. Liar. We're all stay at home moms in the neighborhood so we watch for the mail to make sure mail thieves don't steal our mail. When we FINALLY got mail delivered again in both instances we never received the back mail from those missing days. No idea where it went but this place is appalling. And when you try and complain to the location or the National postmaster you just get attitude and rudeness. I wish you could select no stars for a review.
