I don't know why this place gets low reviews and marks. I have used this service numerous times and have always been happy. The line may be longer than I like, but that's not something that I can control. Are you one of the folks that's ever had to return a package to Amazon? These folks will handle the transaction very easily for you. If your package is all set, there is no need to wait in line. Just bring it up to the counter and leave it. If you need a receipt, they will print one quickly for you. The staff here is very courteous and friendly and always great about answering questions. These people have no idea how to do their jobs. I had to help the employee figure out how to enter a standard address. Then was told that I could not send a letter to New York ground delivery because "its the system. Its not giving me the option but you can send it 2 day for $60." Wtf? read more

I LOVE this store! The line moves quickly even when it's long. And you are also able to scan in your own Amazon returns if you'd prefer. I appreciate cutting the line and dropping my package at the counter when it already has a paid label. Easy peasy. The staff are always always always friendly even when they're underwater. I stood in line outside for 15 minutes on September 3, 2025, to return packages. No one showed up. The lady behind me said this is a regular occurrence that employees do not show up or show up late. Very sad for those who are in a crunch. I understand that things happen, but where is the manager? I went to Covington and mentioned it to the employee behind the counter and he said people had called the Covington office to see if they knew if Maple Valley was going to open today. By then that someone had arrived in Maple Valley, but was late. I'm giving this review a three star because I have had good experiences in the past also. The facility is very small, but the help I have received there has been good. I think I'll stick to Covington now. read more

I never had a problem other than the customer service is poor. But recently I have lost $143.28 dollars from refunds because the UPS store did not send them back OR sent them to the wrong place (even though the correct labels were on the packages)! I will no longer use this store, it's shameful. I have been a box holder customer of this location for over ten years. Over the past couple years this location has gone down hill dramatically. It started the decline just before the Pandemic and has actually gotten even worse in the past year. Only one employee many times, piles of boxes everywhere and a line out the door. The photo below is the last straw for me. It literally takes 10 seconds to hand me my package from the shelf. Now they want box holders to wait in line for 30-50 minutes for something you should be doing in 10 seconds? It's not that difficult to get organized guys. Over the years, this site has been consistently poor. The staff is friendly, the store has products, and is in a great location. Unfortunately, the owners must not train in service or punctuality because it's never open on time. The sign should be changed to "when we get up." The owners must have different priorities on managing their customers' needs because there is often a line in the afternoon while one staff helps and two others process in the back. And when I mean line, it's like it the door. Makes me not want to go here ever.... but the problem with that is the next closest store (covington) has the same problems. Same owners. Customer service has been going downhill the last few months. I have a box thinking I had reliable place to get my packages. USPS just dropped off my package at the front desk and it wasn't checked in. Two employees promised a call back which never happened. Now I'm being told to file a claim with USPS . Went to the Post Office to inquire to be told it's unlikely they will pay since they show it delivered. I'm stuck in the middle. Maybe if they staffed properly and could check packages in timely they wouldn't have lost mine. read more

I went in for a passport picture today and found that the service was great. It was super busy and taking photos can be time consuming, but the lady who helped, whom I assume is the owner took the time to make sure it was a perfect picture. The store is small, but they make the best use of their space. The staff is friendly, courteous, and unflappable. read more

*5 stars on the Amazon returns I've dropped off. They are quick and painless, although this place is usually SO busy, the line is out the door. Also, thanks to a relationship with Comcast, they can take all your old equipment, box and ship it for you. *2 stars when shipping a 60 pound printer. On the first day, a gal sold me a box that matched my measurements for the printer....except the box measurements included the FLAPS! So, the interior volume was totally inadequate. I returned that the next day and the other gal told me I would need a double walled box, so the first box I bought was not sturdy enough, either. Having back issues, I opted to pay them over $67 to package it. But none of them could lift it. So my husband ended up helping one of them. He worked in back with her for almost a half hour (lifting it repeatedly); we didn't even get a thanks, let alone a discount. They just aren't really set up with carts or dollies to help with the heavier things. read more

I will never use UPS again. I paid for two day mail to CA and insured for $300. $46. They lost the package. Two months later I will receive $318, due to deduction for the franchise office. I mailed mailed a package via USPS, 3 day delivery for $4.62. It arrived in 2 days. The manager helped With the claim. She said if package had been lost through USPS, I would receive nothing because it was federal government. USPS is an independent entity. I do not understand why USPS would insure and not pay. But that is a different matter. The copy machines at this franchise work well. Update: still no refund- 4 weeks and counting. read more

Long line and only two workers. Came back the following day and still a line out the door. The store is cluttered with unshipped packages everywhere. The staff was tripping and having to walk around the stacks of boxes to look for things. Very unprofessional. One staff member was in distracting cartoon gear and didn't seem to know basic locations or spellings. Definitely not the location to go. Don't come here if you value your time. We arrived at 8:30 (the time they open) and there was one other customer already waiting outside. We got in line and as a more time passed, 2 more customers got in line behind us, still outside. It was now 8:45 and still not open. We called the number and the lady "got there late" and would be 5 MORE minutes. At this point she has been informed there are multiple customers waiting outside (it's raining and it's winter....). She finally comes out to open the door, and at this point there are about 7 customers in line. While she helped us she took a 5+ minute phone call at the same time rather than placing them on hold and helping all the customers standing in front of her. What should have been a 5 minute trip took 30ish minutes. I get business are short handed but this situation went beyond that. Complete disregard for customers. read more

Highly disappointed in this location. A few months ago they loss my package that I sent back to a jacket company in Seattle. It was an expensive jacket, had the confirmation from their location that I returned the jacket. The manager told me I had to work with the jacket company, so I did for a month and a half through, emails etc. The company told me it was not their responsibility since they could not track the package, which obviously they would not. The manager told me that was they're responsible for the package. They had previously lost another package but luckily Zappos or Amazon, trusted me and sent me a replacement or credited my account. The other Covington manager www more helpful, I called him and he told me it could have been possibly a happy return. Anyways it was costly and I ate the cost of the missing jacket. It was like a second job to resolve the issue so I have given up. I would recommend the Covington location, must more helpful. The Maple valley manager was not helpful and just apologized. read more

I frequent this location a couple of times a week. I must say that the associates and especially the owner/operator are beyond patient with customers. On more than one occasion, someone would come in totally unprepared with an Amazon return and such because they didn't bother to follow directions such as how to pack properly, or forgot to bring in the return authorization, or simply bringing in junk and claiming a return with just their name (hello?!). I always watch with amazement to see how these seemingly impossible situations get handled with patience and understanding. read more

The employees at this UPS store have no idea how to provide even decent customer service. There has not been a single time I have needed to come here that I haven't been either very frustrated at their inability to do simple tasks, or astounded at their lack of customer service fine skills. Most of the employees are rude, condescending, and defensive. They have no business working with people as the face of UPS. Their bad attitudes and unwillingness to do things they should be able to do easily gives UPS a bad name. The only reason I go there is because it is the closest UPS drop-off location. I don't understand why this location consistently provides a bad customer experience. I end up taking my business to the post office instead. A simple GROUND shipment to Spokane was all I needed but clerk insisted I had to go 2 day to get there by Christmas for more the DOUBLE what ground would have been. I went today to ship a package via Ground service to Oregon. On line, the price was about $16 vs. $21ish at USPS. When I got there, I stood in line for 30 minutes due to the busy time of the year for shipping. When it was finally my turn, the gal said it was going to cost $29 for Ground. When I asked her about it, she said their rates are different than UPS. In a nice tone of voice, I said I'd go elsewhere and before I even picked up my package, she asked the next customer what she could help them with. She didn't apologize, which I wouldn't expect her to since it's not her fault, but she should've said SOMETHING to me! I just plugged in the info. on the UPS website again and it's telling me cost should be $19ish. I've shipped there for years and the price difference shouldn't be $13 from what the quote is on line. A few dollars maybe. Also while I was waiting, I was looking at the floor and you could tell they did not vacuum at closing last night. The carpet was dirty from foot traffic & had some garbage laying on the ground too. I was about 6th in line so I know it wasn't from today's foot traffic. The elderly woman who works here needs to be trained on customer service. She is rude, dismissive and is unhelpful. If she is doing something, she won't even look up to acknowledge you. This happens every time I see her there. When she does get around to helping you, she acts as though you are putting her out. If you value your customers, please train her or replace her. read more

My husband had a prepaid UPS package to return to Bose. After three stops I ended up (finally) at a drop off location for UPS......that didn't open for five minutes. I was literally frozen in my steps debating how to best negotiate my unexpected delay. I never had to because without so much as a question the manager, Letty, offered to carry the box inside saving me further searches or waiting. I cannot speak to the pricing everyone has issues with but I can say that this location will be one I will make a "go to" even if it cost a few extra dollars because of the fabulous impression Letty made without my having to even step inside the store. read more

They acknowledge each customer as they enter and know regulars by name. Hmm, service was okay but the price quoted was ridiculous. Not his fault, but.....I am shipping a 23lb 25x18x18 box. Going from 98042 to Sacramento CA. UPS ground quote was $53.00. I said no way and that I was going to check the post office parcel post rate...to which he looked at the screen and said essentially the same price. I just went online, put in the exact dimensions and weight they used at the UPS store and priority mail is $51.00 online......Standard/Parcel post at the post office.....$27.51. I took in a 10-pound box to send to Germany, and the helpful young man told me he could check to see whether USPS or UPS would be cheaper. He told me that using UPS would cost about $225, while USPS would cost $126. The girl working there said that if I used USPS, the UPS Store couldn't track it once it left the US. I explained that the value of the contents was less than $100, and that I had checked online, and it showed a postage fee of about $65 at USPS before I had added a couple of small items items. I told him I would come back another time, but was going to the Post Office, instead. The PO charged me $72.50 (still a lot, but much better than the UPS store), and gave me a tracking number. Don't take packages here that you are sending internationally unless you value your time over your money. read more
