Be careful tv the UPS store in Kent. I tried to return an Amazon item and they insisted I had to buy a clear bag to put the items in even though Amazon only said to bring in the shipping label & the store would ship the return back. The bags - or the one I needed based on the cost $2.19 w- tax. (I realize this is nominal - but, overtime for them...). I called Amazon & was told the item could be shipped back in the box (I was mailing back shoes), but because I bought the item from a third-party seller, he couldn't do anything. Had I bought it from Amazon directly? He would've sent me a new QR code that no box was needed (the store would provide the return container). I went back into the store to return the item and buy a bag. While I was in there, I could see them selling bags to other people who also looked equally confused. So, just a heads up ... read more

I guess it was more important for the employees to finish whatever they were doing before scanning one barcode and printing a receipt for me. Super poor customer service. The Asian man working the counter needs training in customer service, plus don't treat your customers like second class citizens. As an Asian myself you'd think he would know better. Shari, Diane and Jon are the regular three here. They were located on the side of Trader Joe's, opposite of their current location until rent hiked. The mail transition from the previous location to here has been smooth. I 'inherited' the mailbox from my mom almost 17 years ago when she passed away. The staff has always been helpful, retrieving my packages, notary, getting my mailbox set up, holding my mail when my schedule is packed busy. I've been very grateful. At times they are very very busy, understaffed but they work to acknowledge you. They are friendly and cheerful whenever I see them. I now no longer live on this hill but can't imagine moving my business elsewhere read more

Same plaza as Trader Joe's. *Jan. 2021 Store allows 2 customers at one time* It was my first time doing Athleta return, and the email I received said to go to any UPS store. After waiting for about 10 minutes, it was finally my turn. The lady who worked there told me that it will be a little under $2 to use the computer to print out shipping labels because I do not have a barcode for scanning (like most Amazon returns). That was news for me because I was under the assumption that I can return for FREE. I decided to go to the local library to print for free. The lady was nice. She gave me a little bag with a sticky back for adhering the shipping label to my package, and reminded me to include the shipping slip inside the package. Give the good customer service, I will come back to drop off my future packages at this location. read more

I had a great experience first time here because the person helping me who I believe is the owner, spent time helping me reduce shipping cost on a large item by using a smaller box that still worked than the one I brought plus they had good lightweight packing material and they helped me re pack and tape it up. She was very clear all along about how dimensions and weight and insurance affect cost and what the options are. I saw they were training a new person so as with any place you might get different staff but they seemed well supervised. I'll use this place again read more

Diane and Shari, and especially the owner go all out to help customers like myself. No shipment too big or too small - actually told me that it's more economical to use USPS on one of the packages. I know that UPS is a lot more reliable as USPS will 100% of the time deny any claims once they lose a package, and it happens frequently. These guys rock! Super nice bunch. The interior could use more lights though. Kind of dark in there. read more

They lost my package april 2020 and I went there 3times ask them to open a claim and refund my package cost. They finally did after 3 times visit (2month)but ups denied because of claim was filed after 60 days. And (John (the guy who shipped )said nothing they can do because of claim was to late????? I went in to ship a package and she was so rude, she didn't put the label/ sleeve on the package, nor ship it. She said I had to do it myself which idk how. She told me they didn't have any sleeves, when I've been going here basically my whole life but this lady was not the lady that's usually there. This Kent location is the worst. John especially is extremely slow, horrible, and rude. I have to ship every day Monday through Friday, and this is the closest location to my home, but from now on, I will go to the Fairwood location, which was kind, helpful, and fast. John will try to look busy, but it seems just to avoid helping more customers. The final straw was that there were probably 15 people in line, literally out the door. At least 7 of us had packages that were ready to go, but we wanted a receipt. The customer John was helping had to fill out some forms. The efficient thing to do would be to give her the proper forms and some direction and ask her to step aside while she filled it out so he could help other customers. I was second in line after this lady, and I was there for 35 minutes. I saw many people vome in the door and turn around and walk out, saying they weren't waiting. (I wish I had that luxury, but I had to ship) I have left my # and email for the owner to contact me regarding my experience a couple of times, as well as at the Covington location, and he has never returned my call or emailed me. I would have rather spoke to him and give the opportunity before writing a poor review, but his lack of concern leaves me no choice. Don't go to this store. Go to Fairwood and support a kind owner with great employees, who cares about their customers. read more

Had bad customer service both times I arrived to drop off my Amazon returns. The serviceman critizised my returns and told me how my choices are affecting the handlers at Amazon and Walmart. I did everything that the respected companies asked for in returning items but the man didn't care. Second visit I had to drop off my package before the store closed and got there at 5:40. The same serviceman was there, locked the door early and refused to let me in even though on weekdays they close at 6. He took and shipped my boxes the first time but I wouldn't go there again. Stopped by 1st thing Saturday morning to get some docs notarized. Ashley was very professional and took care of my needs ASAP. Then when it came to make my payment, their system crashed and the computers needed a reboot. She advised other waiting customers it will be 20 minutes before she can do any Amazon transaction, and please feel free to visit any other stores or come back later and she will be glad to take care of them. Very unprofessional establishment, the one lady manager was extremely rude, unfriendly and did not understand how to correctly charge for notary signatures. After we completed our transaction with one of the young clerks, we asked if these charges were correct. His response was I just do what the lady manager says. She was so adamant about State law and its charges for these notary signatures and kept repeating she can show us the State law charges. After we called a few more UPS Stores in the area we confirmed this store was incorrectly charging customers for notary signatures. The lady manager pulls up the State law on the back computer and loudly recites the law, after she read it we further explained she was interpreting the law incorrectly since we had two separate signatures for one document. Her response was it was a new State law, clearly this store does not understand what and how to correctly charge customers for specific services. Overall the store was not polite, not professional and were not discrete when it comes to sensitive documents for customers. The last did refund our money but it was a frustrating hassle to interact with her and this store. She did not apologize and her behavior was extremely poor and lack professionalism to solve problems, which made this an uncomfortable experience for us a customers. read more

I love stopping by this location when Diane is working! She is fantastic! She is about service with a smile and great attitude! Diane goes above and beyond to make sure customers get what they need and she does it with a smile, grace and compassion. There have been days when there are 4-5 people behind me and she keeps an up beat attitude and assures the people waiting that she will be with them soon. And you KNOW that she will give you the attention you need just like she is with everyone else. Diane asks questions to make sure she understands what customers need and makes suggestions and offer solutions. She is a sweet soul that is committed to helping others! This place is a f*cking nightmare! I went in 3 weeks ago to get an application form notarized. I arrived early and let the front person know I was there, not expecting anything but wanted to let them know I was there just in case they could see me early since the site was empty. The woman behind the counter said "oh the notary hates doing her job and never checks the appointments so I better call her to see if she even knows she has an appointment." Not a great start to customer service. She calls the notary on speakerphone and the notary then begins to cuss about having to go back and swearing about the fact that she's not close and she'll be there when she can. The notary arrived right on time and notarized my document but was extremely rude and couldn't even make eye contact or say anything. When I asked for a copy of my form before I mailed it in she sighed and slammed the copier down while she was doing it. I thought OK, maybe she's having a bad day. I referred that location to my coworker who need to get some documents notarized during our lunch breaks because they are the closest to my work. My coworker had a similar experience with the notary not being there when she arrived for her appointment and the manager wasn't on site either. The manager had to be called in and was overall very unprofessional. Next time I will just get my documents notarized literally anywhere else. Shari at this Kent lake meridian location has phenomenal customer service and has the kind of A type personality any employer needs - especially in that position and representing UPS. I called on the way into her location after already being in traffic and on the freeway for over an hour. The location she is in is in a heavily trafficked area so I called ahead to see if they were busy before stopping by with my three kids in the car. I explained that I had never done the Amazon barcode return process before and was on my way in to process a return for two items. Shari was immediately on the ball when she heard my situation. She was empathetic and extremely professional about explaining how quick and easy that Amazon return process would be if I have the item And barcode as well as going beyond and being intuitive enough - to think one step further, without even being asked (because I had never been to that location before either) and telling me that their location has a front door/reserved parking space that was empty and that if I was close/within a few minutes away she would be happy to help me- busy mom on the go and hold the spot for me, knowing that I was very close and coming in peak time in that area. I was beyond thankful for her help on the phone and then when I pulled up she was right there holding the spot and I was in an out in probably less than 1 minute. Utilized this UPS store for going on 5 years now. (perhaps longer..) Great convenient location in the Meridian Lake Shopping Center. Shipping services, notary, printer and copier and my post office box! They also carry shipping supplies that you may need and will package whatever it is you are shipping out. I have had some wonderful personalized service from this location, including contacting me at home when important packages I have been waiting for arrive and help tracking packages that I shipped and were lost. They are moving right next to JP's Taproom and Mod Pizza across the parking lot from where they were. read more

I've used this store in the past and had no problems. However, 3 weekends ago I dropped off two cards to be mailed. Both were thicker, so obvious something was in them (there were, in fact, gift cards to be sent to college students); I asked if there was a mail drop off-lady behind the counter said "yes, you can just hand them to me". One card was going to Cheney, one was going to Seattle. Both should have arrived within 2-3 days MAX. NEITHER of them ever made it to their destinations. I called to complain but was told "well that is USPS's fault." Well, you know, I could see the post office losing ONE thing, but I find it EXTREMELY suspicious that both, going to two totally different cities, never made it to their destinations. I'm positive the person stole those cards. I will NEVER step foot in that store again. SUPER disappointed and told all my friends on FB, too. Grrrrr! read more

Monday I mailed a letter to Chicago overnight. I was told that it would arrive noon to 2PM the next day. The charge was $42.50. My assumption is that it was through UPS and at no time was I informed otherwise. When I discovered that it had not arrived 2 days latter and I called the Kent store, they said I had to speak with the UPS 800 number. I called them and could not get past the phone tree with the tracking number. I called the Kent office and was then informed for the first time this was not sent through UPS but the post office. I tracked the package through the post office web site to fine that it was not sent out until 2 days latter. so much for overnight and $42.50. I called the Kent UPS office back and they said they could not, and would not help me, nor would they refund the fee. The manager Patty said that their agent gave me the choice or would not have informed me which absolutely did not occur. Poor service with an attitude. Avoid if at all possible. read more

The single most ghetto UPS store. Ever. The first time I went in to make prints, I carried them on a USB drive and I was instructed to use "the store computer". THE store computer? Yes, there's just one, and it had several Outlook Express windows open, the employees' private emails. So I close them without trying to look at them and an alert pops up saying that the virus protection software's license had expired MONTHS ago. "Oh, that always comes up, just minimize it and ignore it." Oh HELL no. I walked away without making the prints and the meth-y employee (you'll know her when you see her-- the one that slurs everything at a mile a minute) assured me that if it was a mac, it'd never have problems because "macs don't have viruses". Sure, lady. Whatever. Fast forward to today when I just need some goddamn prints and I burn a CD of the files so the UPS Ghetto XP machine doesn't give me viruses. I'm told to go do it myself, because "the store computers dunt working good today". Okay, then. I pop my disk in the slow-as-molasses machine (running TWO concurrent antivirus software suites, which I guess is better than none?) and slowly but surely I get my prints even if it looks like the toner in the machine might be a little low. Fine. Whatever. I was busy. I go to pay and the non-meth employee tells me that she needs to charge me for using the internet. "Excuse me? Your other employee over there told me to use that machine, to make these copies myself, because "the computers aren't working"." Non-meth-employee glares at meth employee and says "No exceptions. You used the store computer so it costs extra." I got my exception, but only after getting seriously pissy about it. "This week we're supposed'ta be gettin' a new computer-- it was supposed'ta come last week-- and it won't have any viruses or nuthin'!" meth employee promised me as I walked out. Yeah, I'm sure that having a different, virus-riddled, only-computer-in-the-store machine will suddenly make this place a paragon of professionalism and superb customer service.... IF meth-employee hasn't already intercepted the package and sold it for meth. read more

Wow!!! I have never been treated so poorly. Usually Diane helps me when I come in to ship items, which is fairly often and she is great to work with and really accommodating. Today, however, the extremely rude man was not at all helpful, and after I questioned him about the least expensive way to ship a package he basically told me that he didn't want or need my business. He continued to say that he was sick, which honestly has nothing to do with him being rude, unprofessional and not doing his job. I will take my business elsewhere from now on. read more

This location is now right across the parking lot from trader joes - between JP'S taproom and dentistry for kids. I have been going here (have a mailbox here) for about 4 years now, and have had such a great experience at this location! The staff is very friendly, and are always a pleasure to do business with. They will even call you if you are expecting an important letter or a package to let you know it has arrived! Love it! They have more convenient hours and rates to send packages than the post office (and more friendly too). You can have all of your Amazon packages/internet orders sent here and don't have to worry about them being taken from your doorstep.
