Cortland Sunday amazon delivery is the worst. When I have a Sunday delivery forget about getting it. The Cortland drivers are really dumb, my house been here over 100 years, I've lived here over 30 and they say can't find the house. Address clearly marked on mailbox that's right in front of house. Whoever delivers mail for the Cortland NY post office on Sundays has some sort of issue but I'm not sure what it is. They can't seem to understand the concept of leaving a package in or at a mailbox or at the door. They bring it back to the post office and make you come get it. What a sloppy, lazy employee. This happens quite a bit, so I've just filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and called Marc Molinaro's office and spoke with a nice woman named Michelle about what the post office does on Sundays. A package was supposed to be delivered Saturday 6/9/2022. The address is a Bank building with offices that is often open on Saturday. I have an office on the 3rd floor where I routinely receive packages. I was in my office from 9am until 5:10pm, and I made sure the main door was unlocked. I received a notice after 2pm that the package could not be delivered all the while I was there. Later in the day I received a text from the delivery person and I responded online. They had my contact info. "Could not be delivered" is a falsehood and no attempt was made. No attempt was made the following Monday or today. I have a camera in my hallway and a review also confirms this. With all the modern conveniences of text, cellphones and email and the minimal time it takes to use them immediate communication is plausible and expected. All my contact info was there, ready at any time. Today I received a notice that I have to go pick it up. Once there I asked to speak to the postmaster who never came to the service window. I younger blonde hair woman ( I do not know her name, she did not introduce herself) came to bring the package and I lodged my complaint about being lied to and no actual attempt was made to deliver when I paid for the package to be directly delivered to my door. She explained they were not going to make a Saturday delivery to my building even though it was scheduled to be delivered there on a Saturday. She was snarky, and rude and did not want to hear my complaint. I asked her why I should bother to use the USPS anymore, and her reply was " You don't have to" Please explain to me why I should bother to use USPS for any delivery needs and how that my experience with your staff fits the definition of world-class service from a public servant. They don't answer their phone when someone calls them that is handicapped and can't get in to the post office

This is the second time ive had issues with this select USPS. i wish i didnt have to write a bad review because i feel for the carriers and i feel theyre so overworked at a time like this. but there is absolutely no excuse why I had to make one report of mail theft, because a package they stated was delivered never was. It was "missing" for almost 9 days. Only to show up a day after the theft report. this is the second time you have fucked me again. It was stated you had a delivery attempt, cool. Okay. But instead of dropping it off another time. They sent it BACK TO THE COMPANY. ITS BEEN MISSING FOR OVER A MONTH. im so SICK of this SHIT USPS. Y'all are lazy pieces of shit. read more

I always found it hard to blame the carrier (whether it's usps, fedex etc) for late deliveries. They have so much to do every day and are such a vital service for everyone. Every time I go into the physical office, service is very friendly and expedient. read more

they need a direct number. packages being sent to the post office for me to pick up - after I saw you drive by my house. inconvenient to say the least. I recently purchased a house where the previous owners' last name is similar to mine. Instead of paying attention to our names, they have forwarded my mail to the previous owners' new home. I had to hunt down the previous homeowners on Facebook to set up mail swaps because we've all gone to the post office several times to fix this, and we have been shrugged at. "Your names are so similar" we're told. Ok, but my last name is as common as Smith and I have NEVER received another Smith's mail and vice versa! FIX YOUR SORTING, CORTLAND. I never had an issue until this. Is it so hard to read?? Our paychecks and tax information shouldn't be swapped and then we get told "oops." That's not an oops!!! read more

I use the informed delivery app and constantly it says I'm getting mail that the mailman doesn't deliver for days. I live on a main street with easy access and no dogs and my mail still isn't delivered as it says it should be. Constant ongoing issue since moving into the city and closer to the post office. read more
