Fast forward to 8:21am, day of, and the office calls to cancel. I've already paid for and sent to the grandsons to a babysitter for the entire 8 hours today, AND it's going to take 7-10 business days to refund my $648 I prepaid for your cleaning service. I called to try to figure out what had happened and was told that the quote was only for the apartment, and that the charge was lower because the apartment was cleaner than expected. So, it is either a $450 quote to clean a studio apartment, or a $450 quote for both house and apartment which turns into a $270 charge just for the apartment (which was small and recently cleaned already). In either case, I never would have agreed to a $270 cleaning fee for the apartment, which I could have polished up myself in an hour or two.
