The exterminators had to come back a few times and the last time a young man who to us seemed a bit intimidated by the whole thing sprayed the insecticide powder under the siding before dropping the can of chemicals without retrieving it. We were assured that there was enough powder sprayed into the siding to do the job. The wasps continued off and on to come into the house. I vacuumed up 9 one day. I listened to the wall where the wasps were and I could hear buzzing, but it got fainter over time. I suspect the wasps had been affected by the dust that was sprayed in behind the siding. I think some of the workers carried it into the nest with them. Soon as the weather got cooler the wasps coming into the house stopped. This year 2018 we haven't had any wasps in the siding or in the house. I hope this is due to the chemical residue from the spraying. So far, 2018 is dryer than last year and that is a factor since wasps generally live in the ground when the conditions aren't too wet.

This year I've had to put more money in my house than I have in the 7 prior years put together…read morecombined. I had a bat issue in my attic that needed attending to, and based on my neighbor's recommendation, I gave Sweeney's a call. While they were here I inquired about how much it would cost to pest proof the trim of my house, if you live in the city of Cortland, you likely know how many woodchucks and skunks there are digging under things. The quote I got was more than reasonable. So much so that I asked a few times if they were sure. I went with the quote because of this. Having never used Sweeney's before, I though this was a low ball and they'd try to push up the price, but I figured if they were starting that low, then I would still be happy with where we ended up. I was wrong. When they came out to do the work it was clear I had been under quoted, the owner was here, asked me about how the quote went down, and I explained things, and I was expecting some negation to start then, and instead he said "I honor my quotes" he then said he'd not be making money on this project, and he would finish it, but it would be when he or his crew has time without a job lined up, and asked if I was okay with that. Of course I was. They honored their word, and their quote, and that's not something you see every day. While the quality of their work is such that I don't think I'll need to worry about either of these problems again, I will never go with another pest service after this. The quality of work, and the quality of people can not be understated here, and I will recommend them unqualifiedly for as long as I can.

Being in the industry for 30 years plus, I can say Matthew is the best at what he does. The food industry is very challenging and that is exactly where Keller Pest shines. Obviously, warehouse settings are under alot of pressure and inherit pests from trailers, other facilities or other factors outside of our control. Our management team was so worried that this issue was going to cause our customer to pull the account from us, but with the professional actions of Keller Pest, the issue was eradicated within no time flat. Matt uses a program which we in the food industry refer to as IPM ( Integrated Pest Management ) which a science based decision making process that only a few live by in this field. From finding the root cause of entry and performing a detailed investigation our team was able to work with KP on a simple plan ( cost effective) to remove the pests and sustain a pest free facility. Working with our customers is key, Matt is the spokesman for our company in regards to Pest Control and will sit with our clients or join Teams Meetings to explain his programs and offer suggestions on any topic related to this field. This allows me and my team to focus on our day to day jobs and we leave the floor to him to display his efforts. Whether its a 3rd party Audit from the government, customer, or AIB International, Matt is always there to explain his programs in full detail with no hesitation whatsoever. I call him all of the time for his opinion on certain situations that may arise, and I would swear I feel like his only client. Never felt like I was asking a dumb question or being a bother, he is such a professional, polite and caring person. Thank you Matt for assisting in keeping our food warehouses at a AA BRC rating and supporting our team. Simply put, let Keller Pest do the rest! A special shout out to his team leaders, Brittani and Ed who play a key role in the success of KP. If you need residential work done, as well, give them a call!

I explained the situation to the guy on the phone (who works at a call center, not for the local Ehrlich branch) and he told me that they offer "guaranteed same day service" for $575. That seemed wildly steep, but I was basically forced to agree to it because their next available day would have been AT LEAST a week from the time of call. Can't say no to that...My wife is 9 months pregnant and we have a 2 year old. The guy assured me that someone would contact me and would be by TODAY BEFORE 5pm. Great. While we were waiting, the wasps created a large hole in the drywall and poured into the living room, quickly overrunning the house. At that point, I had to evacuate my very pregnant wife and 2 year old daughter and send them to her parent's house. Hours went by and there was no call from the local branch. I created an account on the website so that I could track the appointment and even called several times to confirm that a tech was coming out that day and that I had agreed to the same day service. Each time I was told that the tech had us on the list and would be reaching out soon. A couple more hours went by. It was nearing 4:30pm and still no call. It was getting later in the afternoon and I decided to start taking care of it myself to prevent even more damage being done to the house. I ran to the hardware store and purchased some wasp killer and then got to work. Despite getting stung twice, I ended up eliminating a good portion of the swarm, but I didn't cancel the service request because I needed help removing the nest from the ceiling so that my family could come back to the house. Fast forward to 7:30pm. Well past the 5PM cutoff. My family and I had made the decision to just stay the night at her parent's house. I FINALLY got a quick and informal call at a little after 7:30 where the tech said simply that he wasn't coming and that the local branch hadn't even dispatched techs to our area that day and that he'd "try and make it tomorrow" because he would be in the area. I informed him that the two hour late call was ridiculous and that my house had been overrun with wasps all day and that I had to evacuate my pregnant wife and 2 year old. All he said on the matter was "yeah, sorry. I'll try and be there at around 11am tomorrow" The guy DID end up showing up at around 11:30am. Late, but at least he showed up (hence me giving 2 stars instead of 1). He removed the nest and said that I had already taken care of most of it and then left. Today, I get the invoice in an email that my card (which you're REQUIRED to give in them in advance) had been charged for $584. Thats the "same day" rate. I didn't receive same day service. I barely received service. I called the number and after about 20 minutes, I got to talk to a real person and filed a complaint and stated that I didn't feel comfortable paying for things I didn't receive. The woman on the phone told me that she would be forwarding my complaint to their billing department and that someone would be reaching out to me in the next 30-60 minutes to follow up. Can you guess what happened next? In keeping with their brand, It's been several hours and there has been absolutely no follow up. If I don't hear back from anyone by tomorrow, I will be disputing the charge with my bank.
