I submitted a refund request that had disappeared into the ether. Probably the worst customer service experience of my life. I pay a monthly fee for a service that guarantees a monthly spray and a 48-hour callback for issues that arise between sprays. I have been attempting to get a callback from this local office for 6 days. I've called the national customer service line and spoken to ten different people all who promised to resolve this for me. No one did. I sent three messages over the online portal begging for a phone call. No one called. I explained each time that I am immunocompromised and weak as a result of a medical condition and that a pest infestation is particularly dangerous for me. Still no one called. I ended up paying $140 for another company to spray--a service Terminix was obligated to provide me for me. Now, after speaking to a Terminix billing agent, I was told they will not pay me the $140 back. No one can direct me to a department that can help me. This is nothing short of insane.

From the start, we were reassured by John's professionalism and obvious expertise. At every stage of the process, he let us know what he was finding and what our options were for dealing with it. He made recommendations (which we took) but left all decisions about modifications to our house and the fate of the animals he trapped up to us. He performed a thorough assessment of our property: inside and out, roof to foundation. He identified evidence of chipmunks, mice, and flying squirrels, and found their points of entry. He developed a plan, in consultation with us, for trapping the animals who were making their nests within our walls while leaving the innocents in the yard alone. John set several live traps, and over the course of about a week, caught a few chipmunks and determined that the flying squirrels had long since left their nests. He gradually closed up all their points of entry, found the exit trails of the mice, and closed those up, too. John guarantees his work for a year, but he's left us confident that our house is clear of all unwanted critters, and will remain so. I explained the situation to the guy on the phone (who works at a call center, not for the local Ehrlich branch) and he told me that they offer "guaranteed same day service" for $575. That seemed wildly steep, but I was basically forced to agree to it because their next available day would have been AT LEAST a week from the time of call. Can't say no to that...My wife is 9 months pregnant and we have a 2 year old. The guy assured me that someone would contact me and would be by TODAY BEFORE 5pm. Great. While we were waiting, the wasps created a large hole in the drywall and poured into the living room, quickly overrunning the house. At that point, I had to evacuate my very pregnant wife and 2 year old daughter and send them to her parent's house. Hours went by and there was no call from the local branch. I created an account on the website so that I could track the appointment and even called several times to confirm that a tech was coming out that day and that I had agreed to the same day service. Each time I was told that the tech had us on the list and would be reaching out soon. A couple more hours went by. It was nearing 4:30pm and still no call. It was getting later in the afternoon and I decided to start taking care of it myself to prevent even more damage being done to the house. I ran to the hardware store and purchased some wasp killer and then got to work. Despite getting stung twice, I ended up eliminating a good portion of the swarm, but I didn't cancel the service request because I needed help removing the nest from the ceiling so that my family could come back to the house. Fast forward to 7:30pm. Well past the 5PM cutoff. My family and I had made the decision to just stay the night at her parent's house. I FINALLY got a quick and informal call at a little after 7:30 where the tech said simply that he wasn't coming and that the local branch hadn't even dispatched techs to our area that day and that he'd "try and make it tomorrow" because he would be in the area. I informed him that the two hour late call was ridiculous and that my house had been overrun with wasps all day and that I had to evacuate my pregnant wife and 2 year old. All he said on the matter was "yeah, sorry. I'll try and be there at around 11am tomorrow" The guy DID end up showing up at around 11:30am. Late, but at least he showed up (hence me giving 2 stars instead of 1). He removed the nest and said that I had already taken care of most of it and then left. Today, I get the invoice in an email that my card (which you're REQUIRED to give in them in advance) had been charged for $584. Thats the "same day" rate. I didn't receive same day service. I barely received service. I called the number and after about 20 minutes, I got to talk to a real person and filed a complaint and stated that I didn't feel comfortable paying for things I didn't receive. The woman on the phone told me that she would be forwarding my complaint to their billing department and that someone would be reaching out to me in the next 30-60 minutes to follow up. Can you guess what happened next? In keeping with their brand, It's been several hours and there has been absolutely no follow up. If I don't hear back from anyone by tomorrow, I will be disputing the charge with my bank.
