We struggle with carpenter bees who love to drill wood. Our shed cross bars on the door was filled with good sized holes, Our patio beams had deep holes in the wood. One time we found a ground wasp nest out in the lawn (not where they worked) and they were over within 15 hours to deal with it since my wife is allergic. Last summer I had a wasps nest in the backyard of the corner my house. ( I was getting a window replaced in the same area and really wanted the nest taken care of). We utilize them every spring for a carpenter bee problem. I usually call at the first sight of them and they will tell me when the right time to come is. After their treatment, I see zero carpenter bees. They do have a guarantee and come back and treat again if you see more.
