This summer I hired him to do some extensive yardwork involving mitigating a swampy area and clearing out an overgrown area including a rather large dead tree and regrading the area. He also did some major tree trimming about the property. All of these jobs were done extremely well, at a reasonable cost and in a timely manner. Clean-up was thorough. Josh and his men were professional and friendly. I like hiring local and it's great to know he is available to do the kind of work that so often pops up on a rural property.

We have experienced two tree removals with Josh. One was three years ago when our next-door…read moreneighbor hired him and we shared the cost with her, as the tree was at the property line. The other was last week when she hired him to remove a dead ash that was threatening our home. Both times he did the job properly but was rude in the process. On this occasion, we spoke with him by phone about his plans to go all the way across our property and onto our driveway in order to remove the debris. He reluctantly agreed to take the shorter route on our neighbor's property, but when he arrived he started to set up in front of our house. It took several attempts and the threat to deny permission to access our property before he finally became civil and did as we asked. The tree which was very tall and difficult to remove came down with only a little damage to our oak, but Josh never acknowledged or apologized for his rude behavior. The bottom line is that if you want a skilled tree service with seasaoned workers, and you don't mind being treated badly, Josh is your man.

I called Thompson Tree & Crane after a friend recommended them. Zach came by and we discussed options for the walnut tree, ultimately deciding to remove it, since it had lost its main trunk and most of its branches. Morgan, Zach, and another crew member removed both the maple and walnut trees with minimal disturbance to the area. Morgan did an excellent job of taking down the mortally wounded walnut tree without harming a redbud tree growing under it. I've never seen a chainsaw used with such surgical precision. For no additional charge, they also removed a large amount of branches left behind by a different contractor after a pruning job earlier in the year. Removing trees is always sad. After watching them grow over many decades, they're like family. The walnut in particular will be greatly missed. But Thompson Tree & Crane did the job with care, and I would recommend them without hesitation.

OK, so we embellished a little there, but Max Fedrizzi and Bob Munson came to our rescue within minutes of calling them. Bob immediately showed up at our house "after work hours" to evaluate the situation. He took the time to check out what he could of our leaking septic system, inside and out, and talked with my husband about the issues that they may find when the needed excavation was done. The next day and surprisingly way before expected, Bob and Nate showed up with their Bobcat, fastidiously and swiftly backing it into our driveway off a very busy roadway. Out of the truck the 2 popped out, energetically and with big smiles on their faces (go figure). The day began early and expeditiously with the needed team members coming and going to assist (Kessler septic, Roto Rooter and LMS operator, Max Fedrizzi). Bob always made sure I knew the whole process and every procedure required, making sure I had a say in all the proceedings while having me photograph the process to share with my husband who was at work. 7 and a 1/2 hours later the whole septic dilemma was resolved and we can now, thankfully, use all house plumbing without worry! We highly recommend LMS inc. for all and any septic needs. These guys truly are the experts!
