Great local family business (not huge company). That really matters. Jared is an expert and…read moreprovides incredible and reliable services that go far beyond basic septic pumping (though he does that, too). He helped diagnose issues with our 27 year old system when a half dozen other companies (some of the big ones) turned us down, ghosted our calls, or one just refused to come back after visiting. Most all just wanted to replace the system, that was it. Not Jared-- he sleuthed the problems, promptly repaired them, and taught us about the type of system we had and how to best maintain it (we're new owners of the property last year). He also noted that no one told us about a second cover for another chamber that existed that the other company never pumped (wasn't on a riser, but he bothered to look and find out, not just pump and run). He didn't overcharge or up-sell anything. In fact, he saved us thousands of dollars. Trustworthy and very professional, also easy going and easy to talk to. A big plus. Needless to say, we switched our service to him over the other companies in the area. We suggest you give him a try for your septic needs. Highly recommended!

The contractor has a lot of new equipment and our first meeting for a quote I was impressed by his knowledge of the job as we went over the Approved Engineering Plan (EP). He talked me into doing the job as time and material and my only concern at the time was the distance him and his workers had to travel, versus more local companies. Before I agreed to enter into a contract with him, I requested an estimate of what all the work would cost per the EP, that quote was $160,000 and I figure it up to $200,000, as that is what I had quotes from other contractors locally. Since the owner was more impressive than others I talked too, I agreed to the Time and Material cost contract, which in hind sight was a big mistake. This job included grubbing the land up to and around the future house position, along with the driveway, and utilities run from the main road and all precautions that come with a construction site. The job was supposed to be completed per the the Owner of the company by the end of October 2023. The first month went well with a few glitches, but when we got closer to the end of October with not even half the job complete, then he had help issues, equipment issues and a lot of other excuses, then it was supposed to be December, then January and it was completed by March 2024 with two main items still not completed per the EP. During this time I was supposed to be getting an itemized monthly bill to keep track of what money I was providing him. The first Invoice I received was 3 Oct, but after that I had to refuse to pay him anymore, if I did not receive an itemized bill from Oct to 31 Jan 2024. By that time I had provided him $312,000 and told him this project is way over budget and he was draining my saving that I had for building on the property. Total paid before final Itemized bill $456K itemized bill showed less.

Carl took the time to work with us closely on the planning phase, so we could balance our budget with the available options and we ended up very satisfied with our selection. He listened to our needs and made sure we would be happy with what we got. There was never any hard sell and it was clear his top goal was customer satisfaction. By chance, the awning manufacturer moved to a different state around the time we ordered the awnings, and Carl was very good about keeping us updated on the timing of expected arrival, as well as any other unavoidable delays...one of the things we value most in a contractor is clear communication, so that we know what to expect, and Carl always got back to us quickly, kept us up to date, and we were never left wondering about anything. The installation was quick and the workplace completely cleaned up afterwards, and he came out for an additional visit promptly when we had a concern about the installation, making sure everything was perfect and to our satisfaction. I wish I could give more than 5 stars! You will not go wrong working with Results Renovation and Repair.

Following that, we hired Greenscene Lawn and Garden to install a crushed aggregate driveway with bluestone walking path, backyard sod with mulch borders, garden beds, natural stonework around our pergola and various plantings. Their landscape architect Kali helped us pick out and buid the vision of the plantings. The construction team was great, and although the pergola did leak they were committed to fixing it and eventually completely replaced the substrate and reinstalled the metal roof to guarantee we would not have any leaks. They were very receptive to my punch list requests at the end of the job and fixed everything I asked for. The landscaping team was incredible. They were in and out in 4 days then spent a few extra days buttoning things up. They gave us detailed watering instructions and left sprinklers and hoses for the sod to establish itself, and stopped by to check on the status frequently. We have been thrilled with the service and are looking forward to seeing the plantings coming to life.

We even watered the flowers and vegetation per their instructions. They did a good job laying paving stones around the pool area at the rear of the house and filling gaps with additional stone. But the front and sides of the house are just "blah." No beautiful, colorful flowers bursting forth like the promised photos. Green Scene charges top dollar for their services and we hired them based on neighboring residences and their landscapes. I expected a better result for the price I paid. Live and learn.
