Was on this side of town and needed to mail out something. Trusty Yelp helped located this post office. Easy access and a nice post office. It was 2 people ahead of me. The clerk was assisting the first person and closed out. The lady ahead of me didn't speak English and the clerk didn't speak Spanish so the transaction was tough to hear. The clerk wasn't very understanding towards the lady. Made me feel uncomfortable because I felt bad for the customer. The lady figured it out though. I was next and the lady was nice to me though, efficient and I was out of there. I just wished she was kinder to the lady before me. read more

Postmaster in this post office are extremely lazy. Wouldn't deliver my package even there's still one hour before the cut off time. But that's okay, mark it to deliver tomorrow, but no they will lie to you that it's been delivered into a parcel locker? Or can't access your location? This was the second of three post offices that I visited to acquire a passport. This post office did not answer their telephone when I was attempting to confirm that they had passport services available until 3pm. Unfortunately, I drove there and arrived at about 2:10pm to find out that they stopped passport services at 2pm. I stood in line for less than a minute when I noticed the sign pictured. Extra star awarded to this USPS location for posting a sign so I did not have to waste 30+ minutes waiting for service to rudely be told "no". There was also another staff member who was walking around asking everyone in line if they had what they needed. Not open on time, on a regular weekday, non holiday. The hours posted on the door and online indicate the branch should be open and there is a group of people waiting in high heat. I've had problems here before, the staff appear to be over relaxed and get social to where it slows them down. I updated my passport and the employee didn't take my payment and it delayed the process when I had to come back again through the line. read more

Don't go here for passports. I had booked an appointment for passports at 10am. When I arrived at 10, was told the "person who does them is late today," and to expect her at 10:30. Waited until 10:30 with my husband and 3 kids. Still no sign of her. Couldn't talk to the manager because he was "on the phone," and the one agent working the counter didn't know when he'd be off. Had to leave with nothing to show for it because my husband had to go in to the office. Next time, I'll find another passport location, and I suggest others do the same. read more

Passport Tip: Schedule an appointment online. This review is based solely on my passport experience. I arrived at 9:30AM only to learn that passports opened at 10:00AM (hours can be found online). I did not have any appointment, but I was the first in line for passport renewal. It was done in 10 minutes because I had all of my required documents. Items to Bring: 1. Old Passport 2. Drivers License 3. Copy of front and back of driver's license (or they charge $0.50 per copy) 4. Completed DS-11 Application (check travel.state.gov to see which application you need to complete; I had to go and submit my application at USPS because my previous passport was 5-years). 5. A check of $110 to the U.S. Department of State 6. A form of payment of $35 to USPS 7. 1 passport-sized photo. read more

I hesitate to call this the worst post office I've ever been to, because I don't think it should even be mentioned alongside every other post office. It's horrible in a whole league of its own. In the single year living in its jurisdiction, they have lost 4 (FOUR) packages of the eight packages I ordered in the year.  And I was unable to retrieve any of the packages. You could blame the horrible timeliness and lost packages on the Republican-appointed crooks currently running the USPS and trying to starve it to death and make it less efficient. But even the customer service at this location is awful. I went there with a prepaid USPS label (which the USPS website states they will print for you, since you already paid for it). After waiting in a long line, the very rude employee told me they can't print it....even as I looked at a printer right next to her and saw her print something for the customer before me. This caused me to have to drive somewhere else to print out the label.   Also, the people of Pilsen are honest, friendly, and hardworking people, so it's unfortunate that this location couldn't hire people FROM Pilsen instead of who they employ there now. read more

I came here to submit my passport application. Everything went well. Once I got to the counter I was done in less than 10 minutes. Couple things to keep in mind though when submitting your passport app: If it's other people in line you'll have to wait for the line to clear before they will take care of you( that part sucks), they prefer that you make an appointment, I wasn't aware of this so I just walked in and it's better to complete the application they have at the post office- I printed mine out at home and it was double sided so I had to toss that one and complete a new one. Overall the experience was ok. No parking lot and parking is hard to find over here, all the side streets are permit only parking. read more

As for the customer service this morning around 9:30. It was FAST! There had only been one person in front of me & I was in & out under 10 minutes. Reading the previous reviews last night, I thought I would dread coming here but it wasn't so bad. NOTE I did come 30 minutes after they opened. It's probably best to come as soon as they open to avoid any inconvenience & ignorance. They definitely need to work on their mailmen/women employees. I was home when I was tracking my package & when I went to refresh my tracker... it had said I missed my package & that they had left a notice... um I didn't get the courtesy of my doorbell being rung NOR did I get a ticket on my mailbox. But it is their fault when you get up to the window and the woman only says "you gotta have more tape on that box before you come up to my window" in a very rude tone. To Whom May Concern, I have shipped a package to Chicago (3347 S Bell Ave Chicago, IL 60608) through Pompano Beach FL Post Office using Priority Plus Signature. The recipient is my cousin, Yukie Li. The Tracking number is #9510813954789098425690. I have tracked the package via online tracking services and shows that it's been delivered. Also, it was signed and received by someone called GHJEDD at 3:07 pm on 04/10/2019, but this person is not my cousin. On 04/11/2019, I phoned USPS customer services and opened a case. They also provided me a phone number for a local Chicago Post Office to track the package. In the meantime, my cousin was able to identify and locate, and talked to the post person who delivered the package. As a result, she admitted that she did make a mistake by delivering the package to a wrong address and was not able to recall which address. I continued to phone the local Post Office in Chicago a few more times to discuss. For the record, the number I call is 312-733-4750. They started being impatient and hung up on me at the end. Until now, I retried the phone number above many times, and no one answer my call anymore. It is even worst that I was able to track down the package was delivered to 3431 S Bell Ave Chicago, IL 60608 with assistance provided by Pompano Beach FL Post Office. It is unbelievable that the Chicago local Post Office claims they have no idea where the package had been delivered. The shipping option I choose was Priority Plus Signature in the first place. They should be able to answer my questions. Now, here is my question. Why wouldn't they admit the mistake they have made? Why wouldn't they answer my question when they clearly know where the package was when it happened. I am very disappointed and lost faith in USPS. read more

They literally don't deliver mail for days, and consistently don't ever even attempt to deliver packages but say they do. This is evident by their consistent supposed "delivery attempts" suspiciously almost every time at around 7:30pm, even though they hit my area midday, when I am definitely home during the supposed attempt and I'm assuming their shifts were up and they didn't feel like delivering. I then have to wait days for redelivery at times, and then the same things happen during their "redeliveries". It can take days or over a week to receive packages that were supposed to be there next day. They also ignore redelivery requests as well and my stuff is consistently missing or stolen. read more

There have been just too many times I had to call about packages that was suppose to be redelivered but still sits at the post office there. When they leave a notice to sign at my mailbox to have it redelivered....you are suppose to make an attempt to redeliver. The guy at the window was nice until we got to Rosie she was an old nasty person she looked at the passport papers we brought and said they were the wrong ones but when we look over what she gave us they were the exact ones we had already given her and when questioned she refused to look at us or even answer she just mumbled that they were wrong and that was it. The woman on the phone just now @ 3:30 on a Friday afternoon was polite, professional and kind. She offered to have the package brought to the front if i wanted to pick it up today and then let me know if I couldn't the package would be delivered to me on Monday. This place is horrible! I went and paid them to deliver a mail because I'm expecting a check and they lost the letter same day. Instead of calling me and informing me that they misplaced it, i had to call them only for them to tell me they would investigate where my letter went. How in the fuck do you lose and misplace a letter same day? If I didn't pay additional to get the tracking information, I would've been waiting weeks thinking they actually mailed it out. I delivered the letter to them July 8th for them to send out and it's July 13th and it still says the same thing. "In possession of postal office July 8th 1:54 pm" this is ridiculous the amount of complaints this place has you would think that it would be closed down or the employees trained properly but nothing. It's still running and fucking up peoples lives. Totally unacceptable for a government business to be this stupid, fire the workers, hire new competent workers and do the job that they're paid for!
