Post office hours state they are open until 7pm!!
    Jessie J.

Once again - I drove here to drop my package off before 7 - and they are closed at 6:50. If that isn't the clearest sign that this post office is poorly managed - I don't know what is. If you close before 7 - THEN don't have a sign stating you're open until 7pm!! People leave work - and drive to get here and this post office is always closing early. Clean up the act. Terrible post office.

PO own code of conduct. Our PO employees violate every one of these

CENTER OSSIPEE NEW HAMPSHIRE POST OFFICE CONTINUES TO WITHHOLD OUR MAIL DELIVERY BECAUSE WE FILED A COMPLAINT. We have had nothing but trouble with our carrier not delivering our packages randomly for 3 years. We never confronted her, but only went straight to our post office to try to resolve the issue during this time. they would never do anything. The problem continued. We finally filed complaints with USPS online in early April 2025 and immediately our post office began a campaign of malicious retaliation which is continuing to this day. THIS NON-DELIVER OF OUR PACKAGES HAS NOW GONE ON FOR ALMOST 5 MONTHS. We have one car and are not home during PO hours to get mail. They have not delivered important prescriptions, business packages, etc. THEIR REFUSAL TO DELIVER PARCELS WAS DONE AS A DIRECT RETALIATORY MOVE BECAUSE WE FILED COMPLAINTS. LOREY PENDARVIS, THE POSTAL EMPLOYEE WHO DID THIS MADE UP A FALSE EXCUSE TO JUSTIFY HER RETALIATION. We have a recorded message of her on our answering device admitting this and acting in a unprofessional, malicious manner toward us when she thought she had hung up her phone. There are now additional serious issues with the employees at this post office. We recently had to file a criminal complaint with the Sheriff which is explained below. There were numerous anonymous threatening/harassing phone calls to us from a local member of the public who threatened our animals as well. The resident was someone we did not know and had no interaction with. The criminal complaint was filed with the Carroll County Sheriff, against a local resident who was then confronted by officers at their home. According to the sergeant from Sheriff's dept., "An employee of the Center Ossipee post office gossiped about the Spencers making accusatory, unprofessional, and inflammatory remarks to a member of the community. As a direct result of that, this person took it upon themselves to turn vigilante and committed the illegal serious/threatening act". Sheriff's officers went to their home and they were advised of the serious consequences they would face as a result of their actions. If there was another incident they would be arrested. Local police were also contacted by the Sheriff's Dept. and made aware of this incident and investigation. Copy of the criminal complaint from the Sheriff's office was being sent to the postal authorities. AGAIN, WE REITERATE: WE HAVE NEVER CONFRONTED THIS CARRIER, 'LINDA'. WE HAVE NEVER SPOKEN TO HER. DESPITE THIS SHE CONTINUES HER AGGRESSION, AIDED AND ABETTED BY POSTAL WORKER LOREY PENDARVIS, WHO ALSO MADE UNPROVOKED HARASSING PHONE CALLS TO US. THESE EMPLOYEES ARE INCOMPETENT, DECEITFUL, DISHONEST, AGGRESSIVE, RETALIATORY, AND SHOULD BE FIRED. THEY ARE VIOLATING ALL OF THE USPS EMPLOYEE CONDUCT STANDARDS: (Below/attachments) Here is just one of many comments regarding Center Ossipee Post Office employees withholding/stopping OTHER people's mail delivery in the area because they too complained. Some, like this person remained anonymous due to the same retaliation we are experiencing. (Below) HERE IS A SCREENSHOT FROM SOMEONE ON GOOGLE REVIEWING THE CENTER OSSIPEE POST OFFICE. AS YOU CAN SEE THE ACCUSATIONS ARE PRETTY DISGUSTING. We can also attest that these people are unethical as well as despicable. ...And just one example of incompetence. This post office and these people have terrible reviews all over. (Below). Due to the continued retaliation by Lorey Pendarvis, Center Ossipee New Hampshire post office and not receiving our packages, we cannot file a new complaint using the USPS online. She is immediately informed if we do, and then she takes more steps to try and retaliate against us even more. We have sent information to Washington DC. We hope that someone will read it and see that action needs to be taken, and the employees at this post office replaced. In our 26 years here we have never had such terrible postal workers here and never had any issues in all that time. As a result of unprofessional and inflammatory behavior of this carrier and Ms. Pendarvis, and their decision to gossip and rile up a citizen, the local police and sheriff's dept. had to be involved and a CRIMINAL complaint filed. This has now taken their malicious retaliation against us to a new level. We are not the only residents being victimized by these postal employees.

I use this facility on a regular basis and have been impressed with the service I have received…read moreover the years. Today's interaction, however, makes me question whether I will ever come here again. My purpose was to apply for a first time passport. I thought I had done everything correctly; forms completed, supporting documents, photos, payment method and an appointment. An employee, who turned out to be the passport agent, told me someone would be with me shortly. I said I had an appointment and I was aware I had to wait because I was early. She responded that she saw me and did not need explanations. I did not realize there was a waiting area for passport applicants, passport photos were being taken in the area, so I continued to stand outside the area. When it was time for the next applicant, I wasn't sure if it was my turn because there is no check-in system and someone had walked in while I wasn't sure waiting. I went to the agent's window and asked if she meant me or the other applicant. She responded with, "Does she have an appointment?" She continued to be abrupt and dismissive. I am always polite, my mother would have beat the crap out of me as a child if I wasn't. I do not understand the necessity of her negative attitude and her impatience to complete the transaction. I understand that they allow 15 minutes per appointment. I was done in 8 minutes. This agent needs to be retrained in customer service protocols immediately. USPS, get your act together!

The second and last time I came to this location was for a passport appointment at 1:45. The clerk said that the agent was already clocking out for some reason, even though there was another family in line there for their appointment as well. As well as I can understand being shortstaffed, I wish they could be a bit more sympathetic. I would not rely on this location for passport apps, I'd rather suggest making a trip Downtown for that.

Well, I was home and nobody rang my buzzer. In fact the USPS worker just signed for it themselves and picked 'left with individual' and dropped it on the ground. What a joke. Month or two before that I had a package sit in sorting for over a month. 2 months total for the international package to arrive. It was a $90 postage fee shipment from the Netherlands. Things I order for $3 from Ali Express arrive sooner. Now I'm waiting for another signature required delivery and filled out the information online to have it redelivered. The redelivery day has passed. So has the day after that. Nothing. No new notice, nothing. They just did not bother attempting a redelivery. Insulting. Very sad to see how far USPS has fallen. Really nothing we can even do apparently. Just pay your taxes and be happy with terrible service.

I personally think it's somewhat useless to rate the performance and experience from any government…read moreagency. I also was hesitant to write a review, but I thought my explanations might be helpful for some. I went to this branch to apply for a passport on a Saturday morning. Yes, the website had the "thorough" instructions on what documents, both original and photocopied, they needed. Both hubby and I still felt unclear, mainly on the diction. Don't get me wrong. The staff was patient even though hubby expressed his frustration. They were cool and no one took it personally. Hence I could only render three (3) stars because I did successfully submit my passport application...that morning. Ok, now here's the gist. Are ya'll ready? 1) Why should you make an appointment online? It guarantees your queue, versus those who don't make one. When I was there, the staff called out the customers with appointments first. Without an appointment, you had to take chances and lots of waiting might be involved. Making an appointment online was pretty easy. Lots of reminders were sent to my text and e-mail. 2) what documents do you need for applying for a passport? - the state ID or a driver's license (you have to show the staff who processes the application) - photocopied ID (both front and back) - the "original copy" of proof of U.S. citizenship. This WILL BE mailed with your application. - the photocopied version of proof of U.S. citizenship - Of course, the application (no need to fill out "section 2") 3) what was our frustration? Hubby and I read the instructions more than three (3) times. We didn't know the my original naturalization certificate needed to be submitted. That was a piece of very important document and we were not comfortable with that. We ended up driving to the nearby Fedex and made some photocopies, just in case. Do I trust the government agency? Not really, but s*it got to be done through USPS. I had no choice. 4) On the top first page of instruction sheets, it stated "proof of U.S. citizenship: Evidence of U.S. citizenship AND a photocopy of the front (and back, if there is printed information) must be submitted with your application. Ok, I got it and it did imply the original must be given at the time of application. It definitely could be rephrased in a much more clear manner. 5) the fee for the passport alone is $110 (as of 06/30/2018). If you also need a passport card, it will be $140. No credit or debit cards can be accepted. Fortunately, I had a couple of old personal checks and paid with a check. 6) processing fee for the passport is $35. This can be paid with a credit or debit card. 7) the facility here takes passport photos, which is an additional $15. This fee can also be paid with either a credit or debit card. I also noticed that many walk-ins for passport application came in after 11am. The best strategy is to get there early to avoid this whole waiting game. I hope my passport shows up at my house without any hiccup, yet we will see...
