I live in the 7400 block of W. Forest Preserve Ave. We all on our block and beyond have not had our mail delivered for 7 days now,we have called up I have wrote a complaint twice on their site,and we keep getting the same run around. They tell us our regular carrier is on vacation and they are having their carriers doing over time to try and get our mail delivered. Well they sure as hell not delivering.7 days now come on,where is our mail. I have a feeling they are throwing our mail away or doing something with the mail and getting the overtime with out doing their job,delivering it to us. Very pissed. read more

In this particular location 6441 W. Irving Park Rd. 60634 almost corner with Narraganset, every time I go there I always experience poor quality service, what I mean is,when I get there from half to most of the time there's always a moderate line with just one employee at the window covering the customer line then the line increases more people coming and still barely another co-worker would come to help so you have to wait and wait and wait, are they short of staff? but you can hear other employees talking loud, laughing having fun in the background. There's an african american lady worker with braids which is rude and harsh when replying to the questions you ask, I know we are all stressed out but when you work with people you must put that aside and leave it at your home, frustration about your problems should stay there, at your home. Recently they lost my package, I contacted my seller and the tracking number shows that my package was delivered at this location but this location checked the tracking # and claimed they didn't get it, very negligent. So if you get there and there's a very short line and everything goes fast and easy out for you, you were lucky., then either you went too early or too late on the day because this doesn't happens during regular hours, so be prepare to wait a long while until you get your turn. Everytime our regular carrier is off,we get the wrong mail.And sometimes she leaves the whole mailbox open with all 44 units exposed with personal stuff. CAN we say identity fraud!!!! I have called before with the rest of my neighbors and we get the same stuff. She needs to stay off her blue tooth and concentrate. read more

This is the worst post office ever! I have not received mail for almost a week. NOTHING Not a bill or Bed Bath and Beyond coupon. You know that is highly unlikely. Terrible customer service and RUDE! The people who work there act like they're doing me a favor. Really? Don't you work for the government. Well that explains alot. Anyways,they came to deliver a registered mail letter and I was not home so I signed to have them just leave it next time they came back, well apparently they are never coming back. I thought they have to make at least 2 attempts. I made a request for redelivery 2x on line. That didn't work so I called and asked again by phone to have them redeliver. Still nothing! No one at this post office location cares if you receive your mail or not. For over the past three weeks we have received mail at our three unit building on average of three times a week. The other three days of the week there is absolutely no attempt to deliver mail. I called the post office at 5 PM today and was told that I may receive mail on Wednesday of this week after having no mail delivery the three previous days where Mail would normally be delivered. Some officials from the US PS need to visit this location and take a very serious look at what occurs. I am tired of receiving my mail as if I live in a Third World country. read more

Sent Priority package to this mailing area. Postal worker did not follow direction to leave package at door and left tag and brought it back to post office for pick-up. Had to reschedule a delivery to the address and to leave it on porch. What good was the two day mail I paid for and please try to train employees properly and follow directions. Horrible customer service. I was helped by a lady named Christy and she was so unprofessional. I was told by other postoffices plus customer service to write the address on the side of the box because I had so many packages lost where I had to file insurance claims. She started scratching off the addresses and I asked her not to in case the package gets lost. She told me I couldn't have it there and I explained this is what I was told to do by other post offices and customer service she proceeded to ask me if I work for the post office in a rude way. So in other words she was telling me that she works for the post office and I don't so I don't know what I'm talking about. I spend anywhere from 500 to $1,000 a week in postage that is being sent international Express Mail for my business and don't really appreciate unprofessional customer service. read more

Whenever the regular is on vacation or taking a long weekend or his stand in Maurice are not available....we are screwed with getting our mail at a decent time of the day.....usually after 5 pm..... We are a business located on belmont and there is no reason why mail should be so late. My mail carrier, Johnny is the best. He is enthusiastic about his job, and concerned about NOT having any mismailed correspondence. Unfortunately, when he goes on vacation, or takes some sort of benefit day, he is replaced by someone else. It's on these occasions when SHTF! I was once waiting on an UEC check, and it went elsewhere; I've had mail delivered to my home, addressed to my neighbor, a retired Postal Worker who knows the ropes, and he gets very upset! The other day, I received a huge box of paper towels thrown over my wrought iron fence, which was misdelivered to my home. I personally took the package to the address @ 6975 W. Nelson, and saw my regular carrier who was very upset; stating he had asked one of his co-workers to help him with some deliveries, and it wasn't good that he was delivering items to the wrong addresses. Well, recently, I ordered about $100 worth of merchandise from Amazon (for xmas gifts of course, and you know Murphy's Law dictates in those situations), and received only three items, and the rest, were supposedly delivered, but I never received them. I ordered the items on the 1st of December, and should have gotten everything by the 3rd; however, who knows where everything was delivered to, or whether it is sitting under a mail carrier's Christmas tree waiting to go to someone else's home. I began Tweeting AmazonHelp on Twitter, and at first they seemed very concerned about my complaint, but currently, I am having trouble getting anyone to respond, it seems no one knows what to do. I already filed a complaint with the USPS OIG so that they can investigate whether one of the mail carriers is stealing our mail, so that they can be imprisoned and then rot in purgatory! I am very upset this happened, because it's the first time I ever, avoid shopping for xmas gifts at the store, and Murphy's Law overcame my purchases! I would attach photos of the mismailed correspondence collection I have acquired through the years, and I agree to make it available to the OIG USPS; however, I can't make these public due to privacy issues. I do know that whoever informed AMazon that my packages had been left in the back porch or front door of my home, LIED, because first of all my home has the wrought iron fence all around the property; the gates are always locked; there is a sign telling carriers what to do so they won't "WONDER", and I do not have a porch, and they can't access the front door... so I'm left in a quandary as to who is lying Amazon or the USPS? I'm surprised they didn't allege the squirrels ate the package, because they only poke into my packages when they smell the goodies inside! read more

Yes, parking can be tight, but I always seem to find a spot. Never more than a 30 second walk to building. Never had a problem with staff. Miss the one dude with earring...he was cool. They're pretty quick and knowledgeable. I like the fact that they're open to 3 on Saturdays. I wish they had a large drop box for packages but I get it...it's very tight in there. read more

I've never stepped foot inside this post office so this review is passed solely on neighborhood delivery (as of late). It's bad experience after bad experience...from having things delivered WITH tracking numbers indicating "out for delivery" and NO mail truck ALL day near my home, only to later see a tracking update with "Notice Left (No Authorized Recipient Available)"??? huh? Mind you there was no notice left nor was the mail carrier seen the entire day! Not to mention someone is home, all day, every day with a new baby. Then just yesterday, I waited the entire day to receive a package that was "out for delivery" that never made it to my house and I checked the tracking every 15 minutes... also walked out to look down the street after getting home in the evening at around 6ish and never saw one delivery person. but at 10:25 PM the tracking was updated to 'available for pickup" really? I paid for 2 day priority and insurance for this package to be DELIVERED (yesterday) for a reason I WORK from 8 AM-5 PM when the post office is open for pickups. When mail IS delivered, we don't see a mail carrier until it's dark out, with a head lamp on and I still get my neighbors mail and vice versa, or they're talking away on their cell phone instead of paying attention to what they were hired to do and that is "to deliver the mail" Sad part is, the mail service use to be great in my area...I am more than certain that the wonderful mail person we had (who was also always kind enough to always raise the flag on the mailbox when something was delivered) is no longer on my route and has been replaced by someone to fill a USPS uniform. I'm completely irritated by this especially since the package that was supposed to arrive yesterday was the second attempt by the vendor I purchased from because the first package has been "lost" for the past 14 days somewhere on our "reliable" USPS route. Rude, unprofessional, lazy is what you will most likely encounter at this location. The woman behind the counter displayed arrogant, careless attitude. Here's an example: I sent a package and despite announcing that it was fragile, the counter lady did not put a stamp on the parcel to mark it as fragile like she is supposed to. I asked her politely to do it. She pulls out a sticker from underneath the counter and says that the "fragile" sticker is $10 dollars. I thought she was joking but apparently not then ignored me and proceeded with next customer. I then approached her co worker and asked her about this. She came over to her partner's desk and took out the "fragile" stamping block and stamped my package "fragile". This doesn't cost anything. I don't know if she was ignorant about the whole thing or wanted to pull a fast one on me. I came back to her and showed her the "fragile" stamp on the parcel and told her that this is what I wanted. The lady rudely answered that "I know!!!!!!! , bla bla bla.." No apology, simple "sorry". Nothing. Worse than 3rd world customer service. read more
