The parcel locker in my building's cluster box, 04 Sep '25. USPS has abandoned even more important mail in this locker than the pic shows.

The Bushwick USPS location on Broadway offers the worst mail delivery I've ever experienced in New York City, and it's seemingly only getting worse over the years. Postal deliverers have lost an excess of two hundred dollars in packages over the past several years, and the USPS office has provided zero help in providing clarity on insurance/missing mail claims or locating packages incorrectly marked as delivered/delivered to incorrect addresses. Mail deliverers have turned the package locker of my apartment building's multi-address cluster box into to an abandoned relay mail box which they then ignore. They've abandoned well over a hundred pieces of mail--a number of which were marked as important and time-sensitive--for dozens of addresses in a five block radius. I've had to drop off reams of their discarded mail BACK in the neighborhood mailbox, in hopes that they'd finally reach its intended recipients. In addition, they've all but ignored the letters and parcels now clogging the Outgoing Mail slot of the same cluster box. In short, postal workers at this USPS location have lost a number of packages whose total value is in the hundreds, routinely abandon the mail they should be delivering, and the physical office has provided zero assistance after the fact. It's honestly bizarre how bad the mail delivery is. edit: a month after I dropped their lazily abandoned mail back in the neighborhood mail box, they've begun using my building cluster box's parcel locker to abandon mail, yet again. new photo attached.

The staff here is shockingly rude. Of course, USPS is not a real business, so nothing changes.

Most miserable place on earth. Smells and looks like the inside of a dumpster. Employees act like being rude is their job.

Nothing beats your own space, but their assistance to tenants throughout this ordeal and housing us at hotels throughout the city is indeed appreciated. They say in your hour of need you'll know who your friends are. I have the most amazing friends! From my pals who I'm able to live with until things get sorted, those who came through last minute to retrieve my belongings from my flat (which thankfully wasn't affected except for smoke and a drizzle of water), to my Yelp-Mates who continue checking in, making sure I'm okay. I feel sooooo soooo SO incredibly BLESSED. All of that to say I wasn't in the headspace to come here, to THIS Post Office to pick up mail and other business AFTER READING THE TERRIFYING REVIEWS ONLINE. The Lord was with me. EVERYONE I interacted with here was extremely graceful! From the time I said the address they knew of the situation and were so kind and compassionate. Truth be told, from the level of service I received and the other customer staff interactions I noticed, great service seems to be the motto. Maybe staff from those reviews is no longer here? Maybe they've retrained? I'm not sure BUT GREAT SERVICE WAS PRESENT! I want to S/O Mr. Dennis Laws in particular. His service was top-notch! Exemplary! Imagine going in feeling like I was about to be beaten (lol) and walking out so light and pleased. Thank You Post Office St Johns! I 100% RECOMMEND HERE! 2023 Seasons greetings... The End.
