Empire Postal Service, full of shit

This gets no stars 5 windows an only two open this crazy line out the door one clerk got up walk away so now that was one and she didn't even bring her ass back line going out the door so that's mess up one person in the window

Mrs. Denis , she a sweetheart at the united states post office on empire Blvd.

I had an appointment here yesterday at the United States Postal Service -Crown Heights, Brooklyn branch, To do some file paperwork for Important Documents. Mrs. Denis was very polite and very patient. Someone needs to blessed Mrs. Denis would a raise or postal manager job position she wonderful postal worker. She makes me want to move to Crown Heights, Brooklyn so I can see Mrs. Denis, more often. wish this postal office can be my main one. definitely recommend coming here, the lines are not that bad to compare to Flatbush postal office on church ave @ Bedford avenue !!!!! very convenient by the MTA transportation: subway: 2,5-Train.Sterling Street, train station Bus: B44,B43,B49

They taped the window of the envelope closed because they can't provide a windowless stamped envelope...damn shame.

They couldn't even give me a blank stamped envelope. They gave me a blank with a window that they put tape over...what kind of hood sh*t is that? The worst post office!

Severely understaffed USPS. There are only 2 staffs working when there are 5 clerk stations available. When I came here on a Monday at 1:30pm, people were lining up even outside the office. Later, they brought in another staff to take care of people who were just here to pick up their packages, which made the line much shorter and efficient. But I wish they did this earlier. Expect to wait in line for at least more than 30 min if you plan on visiting this location.

This place is such a hole.

All NYC post offices that I have been to range from bad to abysmal, and this is not one of the best of the worst. The lines are always horrific and the state of the post office is always disgustingly dirty. They do try to help the lines alone by taking everyone's package slips at once, but there always seems to be way too little people at the windows for the throngs of people trying to get their mail. There always seems to be more staff in the back hanging out and laughing and I wonder why they don't have all hands on deck when there are literally twenty five people waiting in line. One time my boyfriend was here in line and heard someone in the back of the office mention there were brownies in the break room. Maybe that's why there was hardly anyone working the windows. I'm sure it's hard to work at a place where ninety percent of customers are already irritated, but blatantly relaxing in front of customers is odd (isn't the post office open for only four hours in Saturdays anyway? How much of a break do you need?) Even though I want to scream, I'm always really nice to the people working and they seem to be nice back to me which is why I'll give this location two stars.

Absolutely abysmal. The staff are unhelpful, this neighborhood's USPS is a total joke. The post office in general is smelly, dirty and appears to suffer from a broken door who is perpetually locked, without signage. The lines are long and all sound is muffled due to a plastic barrier between you and the USPS workers. It's horrible. Just the fucking worst. THANKFULLY they batch customers who are picking up packages. So they take everyone's slips, and those waiting for pickup can have a seat. Just about the only productive thing they do here. Which is so sad.

I'm like lady, if there was a full on coat in my mailbox, i'm sure i would have noticed it. she wasn't smart or fun to talk to but i digress. i went to the 11221 post office where i was directed to the supervisor. he saw the seriousness in my face that this package wasn't disposable butt wipes from Amazon and this thing needed real deal attention. the brother hopped in an official FBI type post office vehicle like Denzel n Training Day and drove to my block and started ringing doorbells...NO BULLSHIT! took my number and said he will reach out when he gets hold of the courier. the next day i was driving home from work and CRAZY...Jason was on my block ringing doorbells again! truly an impressive display of customer service. still no package though. after the 4th day i was ready to call it quits. do you remember that scene in Rocky when the music comes in to hype Rocky up and he gets back in there and starts whipping Mr. T's ass?! In comes KIANA!!! i saw her on my block in the big post office ice cream truck ringing doorbells!!! i was like...ohhhhh! Guess what....SHE FOUND IT!!! i could see her through my door video camera smiling from ear to ear soooo happy and man i tell you, seeing the joy and pride on her face, that made me happier than getting the package itself. maybe Jason said she was likely going to get in some kind of trouble which i obviously wouldn't have wanted but she made the effort and saved the day!!! did i mention, she was out on SUNDAY!? she was so apologetic i asked to give her a damn hug. don't get it twisted, covid is still out here kickin asses but i was just so proud of this beautiful spirited young woman's efforts i had to. if you find yourself at the 11221 post office, do yourself a favor and see if you can meet the manager there Jason F. or the beautiful young lady Kiana M. not only are they fantastic at their work because they take great pride in what they do but they are fantastic human beings. they could have written me off but they met words with action and did what they said they would do. give them both a pleasant smile when you see them for me. now Nikki that works the counter and the light skinned Black dude that was looking at me like i had a foot growing out the side of my face for asking him a question you can give them both the stink eye. dude was moving his neck, head n shoulders around talking to me like he was auditioning to be a back up dancer for a Beyoncé video. Nikki forgot to call me but whatever, she was sorry and got me to Jason so all n all she ended up being super cool too. happy holidays yo.

From my pals who I'm able to live with until things get sorted, those who came through last minute to retrieve my belongings from my flat (which thankfully wasn't affected except for smoke and a drizzle of water), to my Yelp-Mates who continue checking in, making sure I'm okay. I feel sooooo soooo SO incredibly BLESSED. All of that to say I wasn't in the headspace to come here, to THIS Post Office to pick up mail and other business AFTER READING THE TERRIFYING REVIEWS ONLINE. The Lord was with me. EVERYONE I interacted with here was extremely graceful! From the time I said the address they knew of the situation and were so kind and compassionate. Truth be told, from the level of service I received and the other customer staff interactions I noticed, great service seems to be the motto. Maybe staff from those reviews is no longer here? Maybe they've retrained? I'm not sure BUT GREAT SERVICE WAS PRESENT! I want to S/O Mr. Dennis Laws in particular. His service was top-notch! Exemplary! Imagine going in feeling like I was about to be beaten (lol) and walking out so light and pleased. Thank You Post Office St Johns! I 100% RECOMMEND HERE! 2023 Seasons greetings... The End.

I'm old enough to remember when packages were an exception and not the norm. The system was never designed to have carriers lug around 100 boxes a day. That said, this post office can swing from super nice service to vexing in a heartbeat. The local carriers often fail to give you any notice or the yellow slip indicating a package has even been attempted. If it weren't for tracking info, sometimes I'd never even know a package was returned to sender, having never so much as appeared on my radar. And when I trudge over to the post office to do their job, depending on which employee you get, their response ranges from indifferent to 'works really hard to at least make this part of the experience a positive one and find your package.' This post office at least has a few staff like that, and if you don't go during the most popular hours of the day, your wait can be very short.
