And yes, it's the city and as rude as people feel service workers can be, imagine the rudeness they get from customers all day. This place is small and kind of dingy, but it's good for what it is: a local post office where you can pick up and drop off letters and small packages. The staff here have always been very helpful to me even when I know they are just as tired of having to serve people who are ticked off from waiting in line as we are from waiting in one. This despite the fact that there often seems to be only one or two window associates staffed at a time, which is *not their fault*. (Ever worked customer service alone on a busy shift? IFKYK and if you don't, find out.) You can also wait in line and find understaffing, unclear regulations (again, generally not their fault), and messed-up hours at just about every urban post office, so at least you can do it somewhere close to you (and if you'd rather do it at the P.O. on 9th Street, have at it). Your best bet is to try to get there in the middle part of the day, when they are less busy and you generally won't have to wait. I know it sucks if you have to work and can only get to a post office around the opening or closing time or on Saturdays, but here we are. The staff you see are only the visible faces of an overburdened and underfunded system. Please channel some of this understandably frustrated energy into contacting your representatives and telling them to funnel your tax dollars to useful things like the post office and mass transit rather than the nonsense they're funding now.

I am very grateful that post offices are still operational as it is functioning essential to daily routine tasks. With the rise of postal fraud and theft, I refuse to utilize an outdoor blue collection box. Upon entering this station contain a long line for counter service as it is the holiday season peak for package delivery. This is my first visit to Adelphi station in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn which I am unfamiliar and unknown of any "lobby drop-off" slots (a wall-mounted opening indoors inside the Postal Service station where customers deposit outgoing mail and packages). With disdain and utter disappointment, this Adelphi station does NOT contain any "lobby drop-off" built-in wall slot but one blue collection box mounted indoors inside adjacent to the entrance. There are no self-service kiosk for packages. There is no workstation table nor ledge counter for customers to hand write money orders payments and then stand on line for mailing or pack items in boxes after purchasing a box followed by standing in line for mailing. Oh! I do not believe this U.S. Postal Service station is a full-service since it lacks aforementioned services and/or possibly limited. I love writing printed letters and correspondence and receiving a printed letters for response. Pen, paper, envelope and first class postage stamp still exist. Still essential. Ahh, halcyon times. This Adelphi station in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn is accessible via MTA NYC Transit C local train at Clinton-Washington Street station. I dropped-off my Christmas 2025 card in this blue collection box for mailing in hopes of not being a victim of mail theft or fraud. Now waiting for the recipient to receive my card by U.S. mail.

The clerk told me it was there, but she didn't know where it was and she didn't want to look for it. I couldn't believe it. They also only have like one person working in the window, takes at least 30 minutes to be told that they can't help you with anything related to mail. Swear this place is engineered to ruin your day.

Even at 10am today there were at least 5 people already in line as they opened up, and a steady stream of people followed, and the ONE guy working was going above and beyond to help everyone as quickly as he could. There might be a line if you come here, but I've had luck getting out pretty quickly.

I asked Amazon customer service if UPS could be my drop off to complete this return transaction. Past experience here can be summarized as long lines moving very slowly but more importantly, nasty/impatient customer service. My recent visit was no exception. For one thing, the person behind the counter wouldn't affix the label to the box for whatever reason. Okay so I attached it. No big deal however the other employee behind the counter did so for his customers. Another thing which seemed to bother him was the taping of my box. He said it wasn't taped properly which meant I had to buy a roll of tape (for $8) or pay $1.64 for him to add more tape. Obviously I chose the latter. The problem with this UPS is the overall attitude of some of the staff, same familiar faces. I'm actually glad I go to Whole Foods for Amazon drop offs. This UPS, thanks to mainly two employees, is a headache to do any business. One star due to it being convenient on Court Street.
