We have an office next door and the mailman always drops off our mail into wrong mailbox. Ive called to complain and the supervisor himself was rude and just acted like its a normal thing. I would give it ZERO STARS IF I COULD. So I came to this post office today to drop off my prepaid packages. Last time I dropped it off at the window on the left side it got lost, so I decide to wait in line and have them scan it. While I'm waiting in line, One of the employees, the lady, asked me with an attitude what I'm here for , after I told her she says : " our system is down, can't do anything, come back another day or go to the other usps". Ok. I asked her if she could check for my other packages in the back that got lost for over a week ( I also came couple days ago to check on them too). Her answer again was that system is down. You don't need a system to look for a package with quite distinctive tape I wrapped it with. Basically, her answer for every question I had was that system is down and she refused to do anything and I MUST add giving me a VERY NASTY ATTITUDE, while I was talking to her in a good manner. No matter what day or time you come here, there is always a line of at least 10 people and only 2-3 slow workers. Save yourself some time and nerves and go to a different location where your package won't be lost!!!!! Very poor management and service or no service at all!!!! read more

They are consistently over crowded, understaffed, the guy who delivers packages to your house, either leaves it at the door without even knocking or ringing a bell which is rare that he leaves it. But more often than not, he just leaves the slip in the mailbox without attempting to deliver, leaving me home all day for a package (watching email/text tracking ) for nothing. Sometimes he doesn't even leave the slip, but tracking days a slip was left. This is why I prefer UPS, I have complained to the bald guy at the post office in a nice way and he looks shocked everytime. This is the worst. read more

Useless. Slow. Incompetent. God only knows where they find their employees... everyone is so incompetent. Packages don't get delivered because the mailmen are simply too lazy to ring the doorbell or go up a few stairs. 8/10 times I've had to come to the post office on a Saturday to stand in line for an hour to MAYBE receive my package. Because you know....they'll lose a good amount of them. Also, Saturdays are the only days normal working people can come considering that the branch is open during "working hours". & you want to try the "redelivery" option? HAHAHA. You'll receive a confirmation email but no one will actually attempt to redeliver. Also, the main customer service number for USPS....they don't have any way to get in touch with the branches except for emails...apparently....not even "management". SO basically our tax dollars are going to waste. and the "shipping" we're paying is for us to waste OUR time going to this branch to do the employees jobs FOR them. Have never despised an establishment more than this one. oh& the manager? You try asking him any question..he'll look at you like you're stupid and shrug his shoulders. Spent an hour standing in a line to ask where is my package (I had a tracking number, but it said that my package was forwarded) and where it was forwarded to get an answer "I don't know and I can't help you with anything". No words. They claimed I sent a package back even though I never even knew it had arrived. I made a claim with the website and nothing happened of course. The package got resent to me and this time they said I moved and left no forwarding address. Sent the package back without even waiting a day to see if they made a mistake. Horrible staff, long waits. So far all of the staff I have dealt with minus the asian guy, have been extremely rude. I watched them talk to a foreign man like he was mentally handicapped while he understood and spoke English completely. They were no different to anybody else. Sadly I do not have a name but there is clerk number 19 on my receipt. They frequently have conversations behind the glass which everyone can hear, which slows down the service even more. Typical wait time to get to a clerk is about half an hour with only a couple of people in the line. read more

The idiot postman put in a package in my mailbox that I can't get out. When he comes, I'm not there. He stuffs my new mail on the top of the package so now I can't get my mail either. Instead of bringing it up to my apartment, he just leaves it in the box. I guess when the idiot realizes he can't stuff more mail in my box he might deliver it, but I doubt it. This post office is horrendous. I had scheduled an appointment over the phone for a passport with them and when I showed they told me I did not have an appointment scheduled. What makes it worse is that I tried to reschedule with them there and the answer I was given is that they only schedule appointments by phone. What makes me think that the next time I call they will get it right. They are rude and disrespectful and are no help at all. They act like you owe them something. This post office has the rudest employees. Talking politely and in a normal tone gets an aggressive and rude response back. I now travel to farther post offices for better service. I live near by and I've been many times in this place... Clerks are VERY rude , it is dirty and messy, ALWAYS huge line. I certainly can understand that people who works there get frustrated , because a lot of customers don't speak English ( most of them are Russians) , but HELLO this is part of the job. I used to work for the hotel and was dealing with tourists a lot, and some time I had to draw ( not write ) certain things, because they could say only "Yes" or "No" in English... I was there about a week ago , I needed to send parcel abroad and I didnt see all the necessary forms, I've done it many times before, so I new what I needed .Line was huge, I asked first person if it is ok for me only to get form from the teller , so I could fill them all up and avoid delays if I would stay in line first without all necessary paperwork and get everyone in line frustrated by doing it at the tellers window.No one in line didn't say anything, so I stepped to the window and teller ( didn't see her name) told me to get in the line in order to get blanks , but I told her exactly what kind of shipment that was and I needed only 1 form.... I got in line and one of the customers gave me that form ( she had and extra one.). When it was my turn, I was very glad to find out that the lady who was helping me was the nicest one , she had helped me few times before.I didn't see her full name on tag ( she was wearing jacket) but it was...S. Chu.She is quick, professional, smart and polite, and just because of her I rated this place at 2 stars, otherwise it doesn't deserve even one. read more

For starters the phone number listed is not a valid phone and is disconnected when you dial. This is what's listed for the office on usps.com website as well. Packages routinely get lost, the workers are rude, service slow. I'd suggest saving yourself some headache and use ups/fedex for packages and internet for letters/bills. I've sent mail from this post office that has been delivered to a person with nothing inside. I inquired about this and asked if she could therefore tape down this package since it slipped out. She said nothing slipped out, someone probably stole it instead. She said this all very nonchalantly, like there is a lot of theft at the post office. She then stopped mid-conversation and began to chat with a co-worker about personal problems while the line was curved, nearly out the door. (Though this isn't unusual: there is always, always a line at this post office.) I've never met someone with such blatant disrespect for other people. She chastised people; she criticized people; she made snide comments. I always feel great sympathy for fellow workers and I never want to complain because I don't want to be the reason someone loses her job. But everyone in the post office was complaining. I hate this place. I have several people including me who was told by a manager that our packages were lost. I live in renting building without a doorman and cameras. It's not a condor or co-op or private home. I expect if somebody is not home the post office has to leave a note to pick up a pacile at the post office but not just leave in the dirty hall without any supervision. Maybe i am wrong and general policy has changed? ! Maybe post office services only a rich people but other who lives in renting building and working very hard should not even think about ordering something throught it? Arrogant and understaffed, this is one of the worst branches in Brooklyn. As a 20-year resident of Sheepshead Bay, I have put up with their poor service & dispositions for far too long. While I was happy to be a native NYer for the first 42 years of my life, I am so happy to have moved to another city that knows how to treat its postal customers. Everything is clean, readily available, and the staff is almost always cordial. The following Sheepshead Bay employees can kiss my tush: The bald-headed manager who looks at you like you have two heads on your shoulders. God for bid you tell him how to be efficient at his job. The short, fat black female teller who has a big chip on her shoulders. She sits behind her throne of glass like Queen of Sheba, knowing that no matter how many times we complain about her snappy attitude, she will never be fired from her govt. job. The tall, thin Rican teller with frizzy hair who thinks she's God's gift to men. Hardly! The morbidly obese Rican manager who finds it humorous when a USPS delivery man cusses and lies to customers. I regret moving to this neighborhood ONLY because of this post office. I order things off of the Internet 2-4 times a week and am not home 25% of the time my packages are being attempted to be delivered. Moved here 9/1/2014 and 3 months here, they have lost 4 packages!!!!!! How is that even possible?! Twice it was shipped to 11215 by mistake. After being on hold for 13 minutes, which I PAID EXTRA TO GET IT BEFORE THE WEEKEND and the lady over the phone tells me, it was sent to 11215 by mistake, you might receive your package on Saturday or Monday?! I can't even describe how rude the tellers are when you go there to pick up your package. I went on a Tuesday around 11:30 and there must've been like 8 people waiting in line... I waited almost 30 mins to get my package because the tellers were having a conversation amongst each other, unbelievable!! This is clearly an issue with management to allow all of this to go on. This is THE WORST office in Brooklyn! Never been in place with such poor customer service! You are lucky to get your package that from the first time! The window to receive packages is always empty , you need to wait 10-20 mins just to give your package with tracking , than another 15-20 mins for them to look at it and most of the time I'd been there packages NOT found from the first time! Today was even worst ! I came in was couple right in front of me! They were waiting for their package! Asian guy came over and as always told them to leave the number and their package were not found! I had to orange papers from USPS right in my hands! I even CALLED that clown!!!! He ignored me and walk away! After that another lady decided to help me , had to wait for another 7-8 mins ( total wait was over 15). She came back with 2 packages! Since I knew one of those , had to be pretty small, I said that second package is not mine! She checked the name , and instantly said , well there is nothing else for your building! i have sent 2 packages out of this office in one month and they lost them both ... when you complain they tell you to write the government ... the manager there i have heard some racial slurs coming out of his mouth and the entire office should be closed or they all need to be retrained in this age of technology and other shipment options with this kind of service the usps will close soon read more

I was waiting for it for a long time then I checked a web site and it showed that the mail was supposed to be delivered two weeks ago. We are local residents that receive our mail from this location. In the past year, they have changed the routes to make them more cost efficient for them, however we lost a great carrier and they have replaced him with a total incompetent. The new carrier does not deliver all of our mail, we have not received insurance renewals, credit card and other bills which has resulted in the cancellation of our health insurance, lost credit rating etc. He has delivered mail to the wrong address, openly cursed out postal patrons on the street, and has even signed for certified letters that were not delivered to the person they were addressed to. The Post Master General should have a long hard look at this station and the way it is managed. I would leave less stars if it was an option! read more
