My hubby took me on a Saturday morning as soon as they opened up so I can get my business squared away. Holy crap the lines were concert long. I could've sworn that the post office was giving something away. I thought I had all of my documentation in order but I left my original passport at home. A very nice gentleman was so sweet to help get me setup although I forgot the key piece at home. His name alludes me but he's a black older gentleman. Such a professional and delightful personality. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THESE 2 LADIES whom will do whatever they feel with your documents. i have a NYS govt Issued id which they did not want to honor in completion of my application only because they were unfamiliar with it. they inferred it wasn't a legitimate id card and refused all other id i presented them with when i asked to speak to a supervisor or manager, the lady whom came from the back was annoyed she had to pause her personal phone call to help us and just proceeded to make any excuse why the clerk feels she can't application. they told me to see the clerk, a man who based only on what he heard from the two young ladies told me he cannot complete my application either due to the fact he "is not familiar with this form of id & doesn't know how to verify it" mind you, there's several fields on the application for OTHER forms of id just for situations like this. he totally denied me any help, service or some way to help this situation and not once did he look at any of my documents or id. he totally disregarded based off what his coworker said all without checking himself. he also seemed annoyed he had to come to the front from the back doing absolutely nothing. so my wife and i took our application to a neighboring P.O. with the same & only id i had presented at the Floral Park branch on tulip ave. my application was completed & processed without a problem. These completely unprofessional young ladies at the floral park branch PO are more concerned with keeping up with their social media while working that they give not one F about doing the job they're paid to do. and of this seemed far fetched, read some of the other reviews from this branch on google particularly. they're all consistent with what happened to me yesterday. these ladies don't have proper training in terms of customer service, nor are they familiar with PO policies concerning verifying documents needed for passport applications. i can go on with the totally appalling experience i had yesterday but thank God the ppl at the NHP branch knows what they're doing & was able to help ! God bless them, but please, beware of F Park PO. i hope their district manager sees this. they def need new training so this doesn't happen to anyone else

I took off a star because I had a hard time finding this post office as my navi originally sent me to the fedex office at the other end of the shopping center. This post office is located right by Shake Shack so you might as well put that address in your navi to find it quicker. As you may or may not know, this shopping center is huge and the lot is full of traffic and difficult to get in and out of. So if you're in a hurry this may not be the most ideal post office to use. Otherwise, it does the job.

That being said, I have not experienced any complications at this post office, the clerks provide excellent customer service. Also the postal service is an excellent alternative for greeting cards and gift cards. One way USPS can improve in customers service is by broadening the gift card selection. By doing so would increase revenue for the postal service while giving the customer another reason to shop at the post office. I took a friend to Target to purchase a couple of gift cards. The lines were extremely long. I told my friend that the postal service sells gift cards, she stated that she didn't know that. So we scurried on over to the local post office to find that there selection was limited to almost nothing. I was so embarrassed that I suggested to go. Now we must go back to Target when the lines deminish. Even though my word of mouth didn't help either parties, I'm still inclined to.. Inspire more, Yelp more.

Let me share my experience with this place. I used to physically go there to mail items that were…read moreimportant to my business. And the employees there did their job as expected but did it in a way that made you feel like they were doing you a favor. But that is not the worst of it. Today I asked them why my package hadn't arrived when it said did arrive online, and it was because they sent it to my old address. Then I asked them how is that possible, since I had made sure that most of my mail would be forwarded from my old address to my current address. One of their employees (whose name shall be withheld) said, "that forwarding request only lasts for one year." Now I know for a fact that is BS because the last letter I got had a yellow label on it that says "forwarded from (previous address)" just two bloody days ago. And it gets WORSE! I went to my old address and thank God my former receptionist saved not just my package but all my mail from April 2024 and so on (keep in mind that was two months after telling them to forward my mail to the current address). Again no thanks whatsoever to that bloody post-office on 2nd Avenue. If anyone wonders why I'm this indignant, that mail I was supposed to receive were reimbursement checks from various health insurance companies, credit card processing statements and 1099 forms that my accountant needed from last year. With that said, that post office (the one I'm writing about) needs to shape or ship out. Thankfully with "the man" in the White House, he might trim the fat out of this place.
