this is the worse experience i've ever had at a P.O. so my wife & i scheduled an appt to get our 8y/o son his passport. i can write a whole report about the completely unprofessional way all THREE employees handled this yesterday, March 09, 2026 but i don't want to lose ppl. PLEASE BE AWARE OF THESE 2 LADIES whom will do whatever they feel with your documents. i have a NYS govt Issued id which they did not want to honor in completion of my application only because they were unfamiliar with it. they inferred it wasn't a legitimate id card and refused all other id i presented them with when i asked to speak to a supervisor or manager, the lady whom came from the back was annoyed she had to pause her personal phone call to help us and just proceeded to make any excuse why the clerk feels she can't application. they told me to see the clerk, a man who based only on what he heard from the two young ladies told me he cannot complete my application either due to the fact he "is not familiar with this form of id & doesn't know how to verify it" mind you, there's several fields on the application for OTHER forms of id just for situations like this. he totally denied me any help, service or some way to help this situation and not once did he look at any of my documents or id. he totally disregarded based off what his coworker said all without checking himself. he also seemed annoyed he had to come to the front from the back doing absolutely nothing. so my wife and i took our application to a neighboring P.O. with the same & only id i had presented at the Floral Park branch on tulip ave. my application was completed & processed without a problem. These completely unprofessional young ladies at the floral park branch PO are more concerned with keeping up with their social media while working that they give not one F about doing the job they're paid to do. and of this seemed far fetched, read some of the other reviews from this branch on google particularly. they're all consistent with what happened to me yesterday. these ladies don't have proper training in terms of customer service, nor are they familiar with PO policies concerning verifying documents needed for passport applications. i can go on with the totally appalling experience i had yesterday but thank God the ppl at the NHP branch knows what they're doing & was able to help ! God bless them, but please, beware of F Park PO. i hope their district manager sees this. they def need new training so this doesn't happen to anyone else read more

Very disappointing experience at this USPS location. The staff member who assisted me was extremely rude and unprofessional. She did not explain things properly and had a very dismissive attitude when I asked questions. When I politely asked for her name, she refused to provide it and instead told me to speak to a supervisor. That level of behavior is unacceptable. Customer service here was one of the worst I've experienced. It felt like helping customers was not a priority at all. USPS should seriously look into improving the attitude and professionalism of staff at this location. I would not given 1 star. read more

Made the mistake of renting a box on Tulip Avenue. Paid, went to get tke key. Two very stupid employees asked me numerous questions. Then I was told to put it in the name of a business I need a business certificate which their web site does not state. He kept me standing there 15 minutes then told me I would have to come back, because he would need to call customer service. He refused to call them while I was there. He was unaccommodating and lethargic- slow, lazy, stupid. He wouldn't read the paid receipt I provided. The personnel at this post office sure has changed with the area- very stupid incompetent people working there who give you nothing and really don't care. read more

I have used this post office for 36 yrs I have had no problems, I find the postal people very friendly and always very helpful.

I mailed 60 cards in the mailbox in front of the floral park post office on December 3, 2023. None of them has reached its destination. I spoke with and met in person with the post master, who was nasty and unhelpful. she basically said there was nothing she could do. If my 60 envelopes were missing, then it would follow that all the mail in that mailbox is also missing. No one cares. I contacted several people at a higher level, and nothing has been done. One employee told me that the PO hires lots of people during the holidays who are not vetted, and therefore was not surprised the mail was missing. The post master has never gotten back to me with the results of her investigation into the missing mail. No accountability, even at a senior position. Don't send your mail through the Floral Park Post Office. read more

Terrible service! Package was lost, and they claim someone must of stole it! I went outside within a few minutes of getting the delivery email notification to grab package and nothing was there! When I finally spoke to a women on the phone she was extremely rude, and when I asked to speak to a supervisor she unprofessionally told me I was on speaker phone so everyone could hear my conversation, and private information. I asked again to speak to a supervisor and she claimed she was the supervisor . Well then why was that not mentioned the first time. Horrible and terrible way to go into the Christmas holiday weekend ! Now will not have the gifts that I ordered over a month ago for my future mother in law, mother , and sister!! I had a wonderful experience with a supervisor at the Floral Park Post Office, who helped me locate an important package that was lost to tracking over the holidays. She was courteous and determined. She spent quite some time finding out what happened after a failed delivery attempt due to a business closure. She confirmed delivery of my package and was clearly delighted she was able to help me. People come here pissed. I guess no one enjoys going to the post office. There's no reward for going, like going into a deli or a cell phone store for a new phone. Those places youre walking away with something. The post office, what are you walking away with? Stamps? Boxes? A lighter wallet? Its like going to pay your taxes. You go just because its something you have to do. However, Ive never seen a person hear how much their tax bill is and yell at the accountant. Thats what happens at the post office. Thats what Ive seen hold up the lines. One guy, looking like the Indian Bill Murray seemed to be arguing about prices as he rolled his eyes in the Bill Murray way. Just before me a woman had already paid for her letter to be mailed with online status alerts or something. As she's packing, she says "See!" as if to say, "I gotcha!" "What is price of certify?" The guy tells her like 29.94. She says "No, you give me the price! I want the price!" She sticks her phone under the glass, and it beeps. He repeats, talking into her phone "29.94". A million Chinese characters come up on her phone. She looks and goes, "No! You give me the price! I want the priiice!" He explains that to certify, it costs this much. The routine repeats itself with the woman getting louder, until she gives up and walks out. As I step to the counter, we both look at each other wide eyed, and he said ,"just give me a second to recover from that one. Wow." Since Im getting my passport, the other worker deals with it, so I go to him. He looks at my birth certificate and says, "the names of your parents arent on this, you need to reschedule with a more detailed one." When I lost my birth certificate, why did the Town of North Hempstead issue this? I told him Im shocked, and right away, he said, " Im just saying, they wont give you a passport." Did I get pissed at him? No, because he didnt make the rules. Just like the other worker didn't make up the price to mail something. The U.S. Postal Service did. I WAS pissed at the Town of North Hempstead, however. Anyway, an hour later I found a transcript of birth, so before rescheduling, I waited to ask the worker if this would be ok for my next time there. His colleague saw me, and told me to cut to the front. Before I could ask, he asked for all of my paperwork and proceeded to check off all my stuff. This really serious man smiled when I told him I appreciated what he did for me. It's amazing what can be happen when you're kind. Maybe give that a try before taking your frustrations out on someone else. read more

Mail being placed inside the post office has not reached its destination numerous times now. This has caused $30 check cancellation fees & disputes with credit card companies that charged late fees due to the Postal Services incompetence. read more

This post office is by far the best, with employees that are pleasant AND professional. Priceless! I will always drive PAST the NHP post office, and go to the Floral Park post office from this point on. Thank the Lord! read more

This post office is so bad. The line is always long and the staff 75% of the time is so rude. They have terrible customer service and are so slow. On top of that, theres only metered parking. I rather go someplace else because this post office is terrible. Only good thing is that its close to my house. read more

I went to this post office on April 6 and spoke with the Post Master that I need my mail held . I knew the postman is not a good one . He leaves my mail to get wet on rainy days. I have had many problems with Norman. He is rude to talk to as well I asked my mail to be held starting April 8 I got delivered the mail on April 8 I went to the Floral Park PO again to again speak to the Post Master who refused to come out. I saw him in the back he sent another man forward who knew nothing and looked for my hold the mail card which was not found. I gave it to the Post Master hoping this would not happen The Post Master never gave me a confirmation number He took the hold card never held my mail and never gave me a confirmation number I did not want them to take my copy of the hold card that I made for myself so they did nothing to find my gold card I am leaving for 3 weeks and THIS POST MASTER COULD NOT FOLLOW -THRU SND HOLD MY MAIL read more

Floral Park Post Office : 2 years ago they closed my p.o. box without notification, after about 20 years with no problems. Now they returned my water bill back to the Water company. Thankfully the company called me. The yellow sticker on the envelop reads: "return to sender / vacant / unable to forward Really????? Coincidentally my house insurance was cancelled because we never received an invoice. Too bad we cant charge the post office for stupidity. read more

This is by far the best post office I've ever used. Lived in Bellerose for 3 years, but I came to this location as there's ALWAYS parking. The first reviewer said there's only meters---which is not the case. Free 10 min parking is right in front and across the street. I understand they're thinking of another location. There is one on Braddock Ave which is the Bellerose branch, and although my one visit there was pleasant where the staff was friendly and helpful, it was a really different atmosphere with bullet proof glass, dim lighting and unavailable street parking. At this F.P. location, it is spacious, bright and the staff is always accomodating. Once in a while, the line will be long---but that's expected, as it would be at a supermarket at certain times. I'm happy to go out of my way to still use this location and thank the staff for the great job they do. read more

If you are going on vacation and complete a vacation hold for your mail, don't think your mail will not be delivered. I filled out the yellow mail hold card and presented the card to the clerk. Previously, we had mail delivered while on vacation and when we were not away the post office held our mail until I went to the post office to question where the mail was I was told "we were on vacation". I had the clerk write in black marker "do not deliver the mail while on vacation, I will pick the mail up". The mail was delivered for the 2 weeks we were away. The Floral Park Post Office is incompetent. In order to write this review I had to give it one star, it should be zero stars. read more

Great post office, staff is very pleasant and helpful. Line can be long at times but everyone gets excellent service.

There are ALWAYS long lines at the Floral Park post office, only 1 or 2 employees to handle the lines. Tried to by religious stamps for Christmas starting in December and was told they didn't come in yet. Went back a week later and was told "oh, they just sold out ". Obviously the person responsible for ordering is incompetent and should be replaced. Asked for the name od the district manager and they would not give it to me. Asked to order the stamps and was told I would get them after Christmas if I did that so it was not a good idea. WHO monitors this ridiculous situation ? read more

Regarding 91 Tulip Ave. ( Flowerview Gardens), all I can say is that the mail person who had this route on Friday Feb. 26 and Saturday Feb. 27 had mail from OTHER PEOPLE who live at 91 Tulip in OTHER buildings, placed in my family's mailbox. There was mail addressed to a person living at 5 Adelaide Street in my family's mailbox, as well as a USPS small white mailing package for a person who lives in the Pine Bldg. My family does NOT live at 5 Adelaide nor live in the Pine Bldg. We cannot even rely on getting our OWN mail any longer, and we have to worry now about checks, bank statements, and medical bill's being misdelivered to other people's mailboxes at 91 Tulip Ave. EVERY BUILDING has the name on the TOP of each building's main entrance lobby door. All the mail person needs to do is look up and READ so they know the mail they are delivering is for THAT BUILDING. If the Bldg. does NOT say Pine, why would they put USPS packages addressed to that Bldg. in ANOTHER BLDG. This is happening way too often since the middle of December, and needs to be taken care of promptly by the MANAGER at the Floral Park Post Office. We can't be going around to EVERY SINGLE BLDG. here at Flowerview on a daily basis looking to see if your mail carrier put OUR mail in another Bldg. read more
