Can there be a .00001 option. This is the worst post office every. Is there even a manager. I waited over an hour to even see one in the corner of my eye. Debbie is always a nasty little ompa-lumpa and goes straight to attitude mode when you (heaven forbid) get upset that they can't find a package. Isn't that their job to which she replied "No"... ummm pretty sure working the pickup window it IS YOUR job to make sure the packages are where they need to be. Try calling their "office" number is a joke (718-284-5631) by the way.. good luck, no one seems to answer anything. The manager was actually calm and helpful when I finally got her attention. The problem was I was there 3 hours and the last one out the door, and still no package that I ordered. There is maybe one or two times that my experience was okay, other then that nothing but awful, dirty attitudes. When I first moved to the neighborhood, I had hopes. Not high hopes, but a small dream of one day getting a package delivered to me in Brooklyn. Sure, I'd dealt with the hell of the station on Devevoise, but that had to be as bad as it got, right? Not even close. I ordered UPS, not knowing that now UPS will turn over deliveries to USPS at times. So it begins. Tracking shows it's to be delivered that day - I work from home, waiting. No bell, nothing. Go down (like I said, I've dealt with Brooklyn USPS before) when I see the mail carrier. Ask them for the package. Get told basically to go to hell. This is new - I mean, they don't even pretend to fill out the pink slips here? OK, so the carrier doesn't have it. Head to the post office. Wait in hell for over an hour, make some progress on Candy Crush. Get to the window. I'm told the package isn't there. Give them the tracking number where USPS is saying it is. Woman takes the number, disappears for 30 minutes. Comes back, says "NEEEXXXXT". I ask her, and she tells me then that it's at another station. Walk over. After 10 minutes at that station I'm at the window, and the actual friendly USPS employee tells me that nope, it's back at Flatbush. There's a look of pity in her eyes as she tells me this. Back to Flatbush again. Again the 30 minute wait. Get to the window, and I'm not having the "NEEXXXXT". Tell them the package is there according to their computers. Tell them I'm not moving till they bring the package or the manager, etc. Normally I think that's counter-productive, but what I've learned here is they consider doing ANY part of their job to be negotiable - and they don't respect a negotiation unless you start with "I don't care if you arrest me . . . ". Pretty impressive, if you're not on the end of it. Manager comes over. Tells me that the package is on the truck for delivery. Also gives me his cell number and tells me to call if it's not there. And I . . .I'm ashamed to say I took it, and even thought "wow, THIS guy can fix this!". Head home, and the truck is outside my house when I walk up at 5:30! Is it really gonna happen???? No. Of course not. This is the USPS in Brooklyn, and this is their world. I just live in it. The truck doesn't have my package, of course not! And when I call the phone number given to me by the manager . . . it's disconnected. He fake numbered me, and it was now after closing. I'd spent the entire, day, used every tool in the 21st century to get a single package, and they'd beaten me once again. Supposedly there's no shame in being beaten by the best, and I try to take solace in that. Because this post office is the absolute worst one, hands down, in the nation. Wound up getting Amazon to write the package off as undelivered, and I now get anything sent to my office, where magically since it's not this post office it can actually get delivered. OCCURED TODAY AT AROUND 2.30 PM. MAILING A SMALL PACKAGE// NOT PICKING UP. 0 stars is what it deserves. It was pretty empty when I walked in, which was a surprise. Got to the front of the line in less than 5 minutes of being there, ready to go. Guy leaves counter #6 and lady calls me up. I say I want to mail the priority mail small box. She asks me to hold it up to see then literally says, "Hold on, I'll be right back." I wait 5 minutes, it's still empty. THEN a crowd of about 6 people walk in and get in line. I waited 15 minutes total at the counter for her to "come back" while also waiting for the line to die down a bit, because with my luck the second I get in line, she'd come right back. So after that 15 minutes, I gave up and got in line. Counter #6 lady never came back for all I know. Did you get lost? Did you get locked in the dungeon? I don't understand. The asian guy at counter #5 deserves a raise. He was the only one productively getting people through the line. And then...there was a lady, DAISY, at counter #4. LITERALLY spent 8 minutes JUST talking to a guy while there was a line of about 10 people, with only Counter #5 doing all the work and Counter #6 still MIA. Really made me think of the "Portlandia" spoof of the post office. I'm sure if Daisy was at McDonald's waiting to order and the cashier was blabbering away, she'd probably throw a fit. Yep, its a crowded Post Office, actually the main one for the area sooooooooo you are going to wait. The clerks are working as quickly as they can from what I see and are always pleasant, and I do see the manager coming outside from time to time answering questions and expediting stuff. Packages, I am not sure which mailmen are on the routes that people are complaining about but I always get my slips and I know that if I dont collect my package in 10 or so days it goes back. So my experience has not been horrible. If I have stamp needs or to mail a package I usually choose the smaller post offices around the area read more

No matter what time you go they always seem to either be under staffed or they'll have the staff but most of them are just standing around doing nothing while a line grows. Picking up a package at this place is just ridiculous. My husband has attempted to pick something up for me 2 days in a row now and both times the line is out the door. Mind you there's just one person handling that section but 5 others standing around not even attempting to help bring the line down. If you wish to see pure governmental incompetency at it's finest, then make a visit here. I HATE THIS PLACE. I have lived in this neighborhood and have yet to have a decent experience. From Package tracking to hold-mail services - this asshats cannot get their stuff together. I have started to refuse ordering from online services if I know they will use USPS as their delivery service. It is ALWAYS same: I check the tracking number religiously so that I know what day to be home for the delivery. No package - and when I check the tracking number I will find: "Attempt made, unable to deliver". I have been waiting for the freaking door to ring ALL DAY and this is what happens. EVERY. DAMN. TIME. When I ask for redelivery I am told that the package is already at the office and has to be picked up. There is never a pink slip in my mailbox. I always have to show my phone to the girl behind the glass. It is obvious that the delivery person just doesn't want to get out of the truck, so they don't even try to write a slip out. You can always tell who hasn't worked in retail/customer service along with those who have serious entitlement issues by reading reviews for places like this. I'm never home when my packages are delivered so I'm in here often. Some days you are lucky to come when it's not so busy but if you complain about the length of the line on Fri/Sat you have issues. You are going to have to wait on line to get your package, the people working here are not the same people who are responsible for delivering your package to your door. You must have patience when going into a place of this sort, especially since it's not so big. You won't be getting refreshments while waiting for your package. Get a grip. I'm only giving this place 1 star because I have to in order to make this review. This is by far the worst post office I've ever had to deal with. Last month, I asked for a package to be held there for pick up. Instead, they sent me a confirmation stating it was "left in or at mailbox". However, my package was no where to be found. When I went up to the post office to inquire about my package, I was told "your confirmation says its delivered, so it's delivered" Disgusting. I went there a second day and was then told that the driver said he gave it to my super. I spoke with my super (who I trust and believe) and he swore to me that the courier never gave him a package for me. I went a third day and was told it was left on the courier's truck. On the fourth day, I asked for the manager who right away knew what I was there for once I gave her my name. But instead of handing me my package, apologizing, and sending me on my way, she decided to reprehend me on not listing my phone number. Really?! So the reason your courier decided to lie about what he did with my package was because I didn't list my phone number? Fast forward to yesterday. I placed this order prior to my last hell bent experience with them. I waited at home on Saturday all day. At 5:30pm, I needed to run to the store for milk. I left a note on my door asking the courier to leave any packages for me, with my super. 15min later, I received an email notifying me that my package was "left with neighbor as requested". I called up my super asking if i could come get it to which he responded with "get what?". He we go again. This time I call to confirm the package is there and that I will be there to pick it up. The young lady on the phone was extremely rude and short with me. Its 9:30 in the morning. So now I'm back up at the post office to retrieve my package and I'm told it went out for delivery. I couldn't believe this was happening. That's when I asked to speak with the manager. Well after she left me there for about 30min, she finally comes out with my package. I promise for as long as I live, I will never ever have another package delivered to me for as long as I live in Flatbush, Brooklyn. If anyone at this post office takes pride in their work, the folks delivering the mail are ruining it for all involved. I've lived in this area of Brooklyn over 2 years and have only once actually had a package delivered to my door (I.e the mail carrier bothered to buzz the door and deliver the package- simple postal delivery common sense). I've otherwise always had to go to the post office, as they only ever attempt to deliver a package once (attempt means they just leave a slip, they're not actually planning to deliver your package, and they never choose the "we'll try to deliver again" option on the slip). I usually have to go over to the post office on a Saturday morning and wait in a long line because they don't open earlier than 9 during the week when I'm at work. read more

The average wait time at this location 2239 Church Ave to pick up a package is 30 minutes and sometimes close to an hour. This post office needs to be 3x bigger and needs way more staff. At least put in a self serve machine or two so it would free up the one almost always empty line which is for stamps and money orders. Just a horrible experience everytime I walk in here. I have had problems since 2014 with this post office. I have had to file at the minimum 15 complaints in 2015 over non re-delivery requests and even had to write the office of the Vice President on the horrid service. This PO is abysmal. No offense to the staff-- I think it must be severely underfunded or too small to handle the geographic area its meant to cover. They routinely don't even bother attempting to deliver packages, and instead mark them "ready for pickup" at the post office, without explanation. As if someone hadn't paid them to actually deliver the package. You're supposed to go get it and deliver it to yourself, even though they are only open 9-5, when most people are at work. So I'm supposed to take time off my job to come do your job? And their corporate clients have no idea they are doing this-- by giving up on even trying to deliver packages, and saying 'come get it if you want it, they represent to companies that the package has been delivered. It is Tuesday, 12.26.17. I had a priority mail sent to me on Tuesday 12.19.17. On the website it shows that it has reached the Church Avenue USPS Station at 10:31am on 12.22.17 and it is in transit to my house. Again, I reiterate, it is Tuesday, 12.26.17. No updates. I tried calling the direct line, today, from 11:00am-11:30am and someone in that office is deliberately picking up and hanging up, as well as taking the phone off the hook so that they receive no calls and/or they don't have to pick up. This is disgusting. I recommend hiring a staff that wants to work there and is more attentive to customers receiving their items and/or finding the status of their package. read more

If you live in Flatbush and you don't have a doorman who takes the time to sign for and hand deliver the mail, use UPS, FedEx or any other carrier besides USPS. If you have a large package, they won't attempt to deliver it. They hardly ever even leave a notice. I've had packages left with other tenants, stolen, etc. This location in particular is horrible. Unless you come at the exact right time (which varies greatly each day), be expecting a 30 to 45 minute wait in line to get your package. Word of advice. Don't come the day the package was supposed to be delivered since even though the driver won't deliver it to your home no matter what, they'll still say he has it on his truck and they can't give it to you. read more

The worst post office I have ever been to. The employees are rude and the supervisors are even worse. They really don't care about your questions you have or where your package ends up. They have the mentality of people who feel like the world owes them so much so they decide to have attitudes all day. Whenever you call them, nobody answers for 30 minutes. They pick up and hang up calls. I once called after business hours not realizing I did, and someone picked up and said "Flatbush", nothing else, I then asked her (which was the supervisor) I need to find out some information about my package, she then says she cannot help me so I said to her "Then why are you answering the phone?". There is no way to describe how much I hate this post office. Because my complaints would fall on deaf ears no matter what, I'm bringing them to yelp to get them off my chest. Nearly every package I've had shipped to me via USPS over the past 3 years has been inexplicably delayed and arrived between 2 and 5 WEEKS late. I've tried many ways around this, including having things shipped to an Amazon Locker, something which has never failed me before. Sure enough, my package never made it because 'that thing is broken'. Dealing with the employees when picking up a package is just salt on the wound after that. Once I handed the clerk two different notices for two different packages being held at the PO. She then came back with only one package and claimed I had given her two of the same notice. I have a mail box in front of my house. Unfortunately I receive mail for everyone on the block except me, even though it's located in the garden area directly in front of my detached house. Almost everyday I have to walk a handful of mail to the postbox on Nostrand Ave and Beverly Rd for them to redeliver (sometimes the mail is redelivered to me again, really). I even come home to find other people's packages on my stairs, so I have to walk it to the post office on Saturday. They lost my package, even though they say they delivered it ("to the reception/front desk", in my house?). When I filed a claim they called me back ( 2 weeks later) to say that the package was delivered, and since I'm claiming to have never received and they did deliver it I should come to the post office to speak to them. For the last three months the church ave branch has failed to deliver mail to the neighboring apartment buildings. Their saying that a key holder needs to be installed with a retractable chain. I have installed two key holders and each time I did they said it was a problem with it. The latest problem was the key holder box was put in upside down. I have spoken to other surrounding buildings which seem to have the same problem. They have now started sending mail back without even giving people the chance to pick up their mail with the two days that they provided to do so which are Wednesday and Saturday between 1 to 3 PM. I have done everything ask from the two supervisors Janet Vallejo and Tasha Johnson and still they find some reason not to resume regularly delivery. My landlord has even taking extra measures changing the intercom so that the mailman could be buzzed in by cellphone and all he has to do is ring the supers bell, that still wasn't enough . I believe this is something internal and is affecting the whole community from the long lines to the disabled elderly who can't make it to the post office. read more

I'm really sad & upset. I ordered a package from Amazon, which was supposed to be delivered from this hub today. Upon tracking my package, I saw that my package was"delivered & left with an individual"; the problem is; that individual wasn't me.
