I showed up expecting the line to be out the door but there were only 7 or so people inside. It took maybe 15 minutes to wait in line and process my package shipment. Granted it was a Friday afternoon so maybe that worked in my favor. All the employee interactions I observed seemed cordial enough. Especially when compared to the few customers that would watch videos on their phone without headphones or conduct phone conversations while waiting in line. The most "rude" interaction I noticed from an employee was when a customer (who had filled out the incorrect form) asked the employee if they would fill out the right form for them and was bluntly told no. This seemed like a reasonable response as any. Maybe I would have a lower review if I had to frequent the post office more often but my experience was definitely not as bad as many of the reviews listed here. So if you have to ship something very simple, do not let the fear of potentially mild discomfort hold you back from going to the criminally underfunded federal entity that is the US Post Office.

The postal workers are just doing their job so if you arrive a second past 5:00 pm they have the key in the door and you have to wait for them to open it to let you out. I'm like lady, if there was a full on coat in my mailbox, i'm sure i would have noticed it. she wasn't smart or fun to talk to but i digress. i went to the 11221 post office where i was directed to the supervisor. he saw the seriousness in my face that this package wasn't disposable butt wipes from Amazon and this thing needed real deal attention. the brother hopped in an official FBI type post office vehicle like Denzel n Training Day and drove to my block and started ringing doorbells...NO BULLSHIT! took my number and said he will reach out when he gets hold of the courier. the next day i was driving home from work and CRAZY...Jason was on my block ringing doorbells again! truly an impressive display of customer service. still no package though. after the 4th day i was ready to call it quits. do you remember that scene in Rocky when the music comes in to hype Rocky up and he gets back in there and starts whipping Mr. T's ass?! In comes KIANA!!! i saw her on my block in the big post office ice cream truck ringing doorbells!!! i was like...ohhhhh! Guess what....SHE FOUND IT!!! i could see her through my door video camera smiling from ear to ear soooo happy and man i tell you, seeing the joy and pride on her face, that made me happier than getting the package itself. maybe Jason said she was likely going to get in some kind of trouble which i obviously wouldn't have wanted but she made the effort and saved the day!!! did i mention, she was out on SUNDAY!? she was so apologetic i asked to give her a damn hug. don't get it twisted, covid is still out here kickin asses but i was just so proud of this beautiful spirited young woman's efforts i had to. if you find yourself at the 11221 post office, do yourself a favor and see if you can meet the manager there Jason F. or the beautiful young lady Kiana M. not only are they fantastic at their work because they take great pride in what they do but they are fantastic human beings. they could have written me off but they met words with action and did what they said they would do. give them both a pleasant smile when you see them for me. now Nikki that works the counter and the light skinned Black dude that was looking at me like i had a foot growing out the side of my face for asking him a question you can give them both the stink eye. dude was moving his neck, head n shoulders around talking to me like he was auditioning to be a back up dancer for a Beyoncé video. Then I got a call from someone at "Arctic Glacier" claiming to be a postal employee who basically yelled at ME and said the box was delivered to an address on S. 5th. Not even close to my address! This person was so horrible that I filed a complaint. Then I got another person who called me and said it was in fact delivered "correctly" to the address the sender used at Hooper St. I asked for proof and was sent a label with the wrong sender zip code and the wrong tracking number! These folks have no idea what they are doing but someone is doing shady stuff and everyone else is covering it up. Beware!

I came recently to buy some stamps (I had ordered some on their website for specialty cute stamp designs) but I wanted the $5 stamp for a SASE author swag promotion- I couldn't wait the 2 week for delivery. And since I was there, I decided to buy some more Forever stamp booklet to continue supporting our US post office. Turns out, they have limited stamp designs and didn't have the $5 stamp so, they had to count out $5 worth of postage using the forever stamps. I didn't want 10 stamps on my large envelope but had to deal with that.
