I really enjoy our Postal Service workers. They are hard working and try to keep the customers happy. There are many complaints from customers that do not realize that many of their problems are NOT the responsibility of these employees. Wrong addresses. Wrong zip codes. I've rented an Airbnb up here for six weeks and just ordered an delivery from Amazon two days ago and got a notice this morning saying it was undeliverable by the USPS because the address was incorrect. That was completely false. So I called Amazon and they called USPS for me and they told Amazon that I could not even come in and pick up my package that they were sending it back to them. Apparently you have to have a PO Box there in order to get anything so I have to have anything I purchase from Amazon sent to the post office via general mail and I've got to go pick it up every time I get something. Absolute joke. You'd think that they would work together on this to keep their customers happy but apparently not. I mean what's the point of USPS if you can't even get your mail? Everything I order from Amazon is returned because USPS marks it undeliverable. But sometimes they deliver it? Absolutely the worst post experience I've had in my adult life. Please get your post elsewhere, Big Bear USPS closed my P.O.Box after two weeks away without a call or an email. I am the only receiver at that address and was transitioning in a move. Without a phone call or email, my box is closed and all mail was returned. The past year including incidents of employees without proper training, lost packages, and passport misinformation, has caused me to not ever want to deal with USPS again. They are a necessary unfunctioning evil and they don't even look upu in the face to apologize when it's their job to do better. read more

Terrible service! Rude and unknowledgeable. They have lost or stolen my packages then blamed it on me in one way or another. In my sixty years I have never experienced such a disorganized post office in my life. I will add that when I called with my concerns and spoke to Heather she was very respectful, concerned and kind. She assured me she would look into my current problem and appropriately deal with the employee involved. We'll see. Amazingly nice people but someone in this office keeps dropping the ball. Lost packages and wrong people's mail in my box. They do not match the box number to the recipient name. I have lost $100's of dollars of delivered merchandise and even auto registrations over 5 years. All this for $160 / year! This place over the past 6 months has really improved. The counter crew are sooooo nice and kind. When there's a big line which most of the people in line are there to pick up packages, one of them will just work on packages and the line goes down fast. I know I use to sometimes wait 30 minutes or more to pick up a package and dreaded the attitudes. Now I'm in line no more than 10 minutes. There's ALWAYS in issue with my Amazon packages. Are they under staffed ? I always have to step to the counter and showed them that It was marked as delivered from the tracking number on the US Postal Service website. " ok we'll go check " it's just sitting in the back somewhere and not in my P.O. Box , no yellow slip, no key to a locker. Nothing. I understand it gets busy and sometimes things happen. ITS. EVERY. Another delivery scanned as customer hold and returned in less than 24 hours. We have a cabin locally and needed something delivered as part of some repairs. Didn't realize the shipment was USPS or we would have paid more to have it shipped a different way. This post office does an automatic return to sender if a package for anything in it's delivery area does not have a box at the post office. Took time off to be there to do the repairs when the package was delivered. Waste if our time, even though we went to pick up the package the next open day at the post office. read more

I ask questions about packages he always blames the customer, makes excuses and basically does not care. We residents are stuck because they know we are stuck with the fact that this is a small town post office who do not care about customer service. Amazing. $170 a year for a 3.8" x 3" x 12" PO Box. Standing in lines to pick up anything that doesn't fit in that box (unless they rarely provide a key to a larger pickup box). Then they manage to "lose" unimportant mail like DMV renewal stickers, credit cards, bank checks, new ATM and Credit Cards (sounds like fraud or black market, right?) and about $1,200 in other valuable goods (Yes, all this has happened to me) in the last 6 years. The last nail-biter involved an $800 package simple to deliver 975 miles to it's destination one state away. It went to San Bernardino, returned to sender (not me, but this USPS for incorrect address) over a waste of 4 days. Then flown several states away to N. Carolina, where some genius (thank God) flew it back on track to be delivered to the correct address only a week later. DO NOT...DO NOT trust these people with anything important or valuable. This is not European DHL, or Amazon who actually rarely clusterf*** a delivery, even sending you a photo delivery confirmation. I once initiated a sting on Fedex employees in SoCal for fraud and black marketing for all these red flags mentioned here. This place gets one black star. read more

Absolute worst post office I have ever had to deal with! It's not only slow and the workers rude but it is constantly a zoo of people! In this area we are forced to have P.O. Boxes for mail and this one has the tiniest boxes with bs combination locks that rarely work instead of keys. Please update for the current century thanks!!! Don't even get me started on the fact that packages, no matter the size, are not delivered. They really expect women and the elderly to carry these boxes out and manage to get them home. Amazon delivers packages here. They SOMETIMES will not release except to the name on the package, even with a letter and the yellow card that only the person in whose box it was put could have. That makes no sense, since if they had home delivery like almost everywhere else in the country, they would just be leaving on the porch. TOO MUCH POWER and bureaucratic. At first I was really upset about the no delivery to the houses (and having packages automatically sent back) but after thinking about it I decided it makes sense since there are so many vacation rentals. Once I knew that I either needed a PO Box or to put my name and "general delivery" after it in the address line I have had no issues, nothing has been sent back or lost. My experiences with the people have always been pleasant, whether I am picking up or shipping things out, even when I made a mistake on my shipping package and had to repack things the employees were really nice and patient. When there have been long lines employees have been able to work quickly through and I don't feel like I wait an excessive amount of time. Overall, my experiences here have been more pleasant than other post offices once I figured out how the addressing works out here. read more

They won't deliver Amazon packages to my cabin due to "incorrect address issues" though amazingly UPS has been successfully doing it for the past five years. Really disappointed in my local USPS service. You all need to do better. read more

Wow! I just had my entire day ruined thanks to Heather and Jenue. I went this morning to pick up 2 packages, but because there was a line, Jenue stopped looking for them after only finding one. Jenue asked me to come back later if I wanted the second one and that she wasn't going to look no more. Since this was an urgent item, I had to sacrifice a family event to return to the post office to get it later that day. But guess what? Jenue again refused to look for it with the excuse of still being busy. She then passed the blame to Heather, who came to shut me up and to send me on my way, since she wasn't going to look for it either. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EXPERIENCE AT A POST OFFICE. How is the USPS allowing such incredibly rude people work there. I hope Ruben, the post master, gets this and teaches these ladies, especially Heather, some basic manners. read more

They are rude, can't find the items, take for ever to get items even when you have a notice from the store that your item is at the Post Office. I would not normally take the time to review any service organisation and until today would have rated this Post Office as pretty good. When they tell you they have received your package and that it is they just need to find it well okay, two days later and they still have not located it but, acknowledge it is there, well that is just incompetent. I have no recourse except this... You clowns need to get with the program there is no excuse for this that even comes close to reasonable. My disappointment in what should be the "United States Postal Service" is exactly that a title only. Another government service that excels in poor management and lackadaisical attitude. This post office is horrible. I had a really important package sent to a cabin I was staying at over the weekend. They falsified a scan on my package, stating "held at post office customer request." I never requested for it to be held. When I went to retrieve my package the following day right when they open at 10am, they sent it back 6 hours earlier. At 4am. Less than 24 hours from when they falsified the scan. No notice left or opportunity to get my package. The window clerk was not helpful at all. All he told me was that they do not do street deliveries & my package is gone. No explanation on why it wasn't held at the post office like they falsely scanned it as. Even tho it's postal policy to hold a package 15 days after the first attempt/notice left. I had another package that was delivered the same day by another courier service & had no issue. My business ships through the post office on a daily basis. We will NEVER ship through the post office again. Better off taking your business elsewhere. Like FedEx, UPS or any other service besides the USPS. read more

This post office is not very good at putting yellow pick up tickets in your box. At least three times I've had to call to see if a package arrived after receiving notification from the shipper that it had been delivered. Went to check the box and no yellow ticket. Have been waiting for business cards and have been checking the box every day for the ticket. Today is January 18th. Just checked my tracking number and it was delivered to the Post Office on the 9th. Not happy with the service overall. read more
