Helped me with my urgent computer needs which helped save my job! Thanks JT. Super nice guy

I was having phone trouble, my screen wouldn't work at all like it was frozen so I went to this place and the guy was so nice! Instead of just changing the screen, he found the root of the problem which was much simpler and helped me save so much! Really appreciate the honesty!! Recommend this place! read more

Unfortunately we had a cell phone battery issue that just happened to come up while on our vacation to Big Bear! The battery had swollen up overnight and was dangerous to turn on. We looked around and found this guy on Yelp, and saw that he was "open" on a Friday evening when we got there. We called just before his "closing time" and he didn't pick up. Okay, fine, it says he is open on Saturdays too, but only for a few hours. So the next morning we call him RIGHT at 10 AM (when he's supposed to open) and he doesn't answer. After breakfast, we drove by his address at 11 AM. Again he's supposed to be open, but NOBODY IS THERE!!! He has a sign on the door that says to "call this number" if there is no answer. It's the same number that I had already called before. So I call him 4-5-6 times and NO ANSWER AT ALL!!! We ended up having to buy a brand new phone and cost us HUNDREDS because this clown has no idea how to run a business! Maybe he should just shut down permanently!! read more

This business has been an absolute lifesaver for us, and our community is truly fortunate to have JT. I give him a well-deserved 5 star rating for being consistently reliable and accountable. JT has supported my business for over five years with impeccable ethics and high-quality service. While some might find his response time a bit slower than they'd like, they often forget that this is a dedicated one-man operation. In a small town where everyone wants immediate results, I believe we owe it to small business owners to be patient and respectful of their time. He always gets the job done right. If you value integrity and great work over 'instant' results, JT is your guy. read more

Came here during posted business hours and the shop was closed. Tried calling multiple times, and when someone finally answered, they hung up mid conversation instead of helping or even explaining what was going on. Really disappointing customer service. If you're going to list your business as open, at least be available or communicate properly with customers. Very unprofessional.... read more

My phone screen was not working.....JT Tek assessed it free of charge & gave me an honest diagnosis which allowed me to make proper decisions on what road to take in regards to repair or purchase new....the down-to-earth honesty was much appreciated....would definitely trust this business for future computer/phone issues ! read more

JT is a miracle worker! My husband didn't notice that his phone had fallen out of his pocket while walking our dog. It was hours later before he noticed it was missing. We tracked its location and found it on the side of the road up the street from us. Sadly it had been run over ... likely multiple times, and had been baking in the hot sun for hours! The damage was BAD ! I thought for sure we had to buy him a new phone but he wanted to just see if repair was possible. Googled some repair shops in Big Bear and found a few but went to JT. We're so happy we did! JT IS THE BEST ! It took him only 40 minutes to repair, the cost of repair was phenomenal and my husband's phone is like brand new! JT saved us over $1,000 that we can't afford & would've had to spend had we not stopped in his shop. All of our future repairs will most definitely be with JT! read more

! I got up to my mountain home and realized I forgot my laptop charger. A common occurrence, usually with no resolution in a small town. JT immediately drove a charger to my home to lend to me because he did not have my model available to sell me. Such an amazing, neighborly, kind and helpful thing to do. He literally saved my work week, which would have been a disaster! Before I reached out to him, I called another local person in town, but I was without a car, and I would have to go to their location to get the charger. We don't even have an uber available, so that option wasn't going to work. JT really went above and beyond for me and I cannot thank him enough. Anytime I need anything related to a computer, I know who I'm reaching out to! read more

JT quoted me a price and said he ordered the part and then after a month and several attempts on my part to follow up, he stopped responding. It's tough to find good service companies in Big Bear and no show companies like this dont help with that reputation. At least have the decency to return a text or phone call to say you changed your mind and decided not to do the job you previously committed to. read more

JT is great!! I have an employee who needed emergency work on her laptop and he was happy to expedite the process so we could get her back to work!! A+++++ service! read more

JT saved the day! My daughter's iPad broke as soon as we started our vacation. JT fixed the iPad in 15 minutes. Thanks !!

I contacted JT Tek services because I turned off a sign in option (Pen) and forgot my password. They said they could fix the problem to bring in my computer. They said when I dropped off my computer to come back the next day to pick it up. 4 days later I called and they said it was ready. OMG I did not give them permission nor did they ask for permission to install software to try and fix the problem. They created a hugh mess and now I have so many problems with my computer It's trash. I lost thousands of hours of files and 4 of my most used software programs including editing software I use to edit my website. Oh and my Novel I was writing as well as business plans I have written all gone. What a nightmare they have created for me. read more

JT is outstanding! We thought we had been hacked while on vacation in Big Bear. He came quickly, secured our laptop, and gave us excellent advice to protect ourselves in the future. He was professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Highly recommended! read more

JT did an amazing job with my daughter's iPhone. I texted him and he agreed to meet me the same day (literally in 10 minutes! ) and fixed it up good as new. He even went the extra mile to make sure everything lined up properly and then set me up with a screen protector. Hopefully, I don't need another screen replaced, but if I do, he is my first call! read more

So happy to find this place in Big Bear! My iPhone estimated that it would cost $86 to replace my battery, but JR Tek only charged me $50!

JT is great: he just finished installing a robust and reliable WiFi system in our house (5,000 sq. ft?) and connecting smart appliances - cameras, hot tub, steam shower, TV, printers, etc. - so we can reliably monitor security, remotely switch devices on and off, Zoom and watch movies without losing signal strength. He fully grasps the complexities (wood construction, competing needs, no line of sight connectivity, exterior devices) and provided a quality solution. I'm really pleased with his work. read more

I was really in a bind while on Spring Break in Big Bear with my family this week. I had planned to work in the mornings (NY time) but the USB-C cable charger that my work laptop usually connects with at my office didn't work with my cell phone block/cube (not enough power to charge the laptop). Laptop died on me early Monday morning. I immediately ordered a charger for my HP Elitebook 840 on Amazon and hit the slopes with my 13-year old daughter. At the end of the day, I realized that Amazon probably wouldn't get the charger to our rental cabin until Tuesday afternoon and I'd be out another day. It was 4:55pm Monday afternoon (5 minutes before closing) and Jay was very helpful and gracious, offering to stay late for me. He looked at the charger port picture I texted him and sure enough, he had the charger. The place was right around the corner; I was there within 15 minutes. $25 very well spent; great, friendly service. Highly recommend! read more

JT was awesome. Fixed my wife's phone same day in an hour while we were having breakfast. Called him the night before to see if he had the screen to fix the phone. Not only did he have the parts for my wife's iPhone but he had parts for all phones. Really nice guy. Very friendly and felt like someone I had known forever. A really common question I see from some locals (particularly those new to the area) on some of the social media forums is, "Can anyone recommend a good computer repair company." I have a feeling those will drop off the longer JT Tek is in business. Word of mouth will see to that. Locals? JT Tek is where you want to go. Super knowledgeable, fair pricing, clearly cares about the work and JT is an honest, solid guy. Visitors? It's not the worst idea to go where the locals go. There's a reason for that. Five stars. read more

I came up to Big Bear for the week. I arrived late at night and immediately began to unpack and set up my work station for work the next morning. Unfortunately, I had forgotten my keyboard and mouse. It was around 3am and I started work in a few hours. No one was open. I sent a message on Yelp to a few places and Jay T responded within a few minutes! Long story short, I met him in the middle of the night to get a keyboard and mouse. He is the kindest man, and I am FOREVER grateful for his willingness to help me at that time of the night, when I was panicking. I cannot say enough good things about him and his business. I come up to Big Bear every now and then to visit this beautiful area and should I ever need technical services again, this will be the only place I reach out to. Again, thank you SO much for your kindness and your help. :) read more

I was so happy that I went to JT Tek. I just got to Big Bear and my phone decided to have a software problem. I walked in and they quickly fixed my phone. So this is my first half of my review. We came to visit big bear and went night tubing where my boyfriend forgot his phone in the tube and when we found it the following day it wasn't able to turn on. I originally went to boost mobile where the guy sent me to JT (which I thought was awesome other businesses supporting local) The next day I called JT and he immediately took me and looked over the phone. JT actually got all the water out, new battery, and new screen. My boyfriend then overheated his phone almost immediately after and even though JT was closed and with family he was kind enough to take us since he knew we flew out the next day. JT has gone above and beyond for us and is actually going to fix the back of the phone as well then ship it to us. Once we get the phone back I'll write the second half of the review. Definitely stop by his office if you have any questions or concerns about your devices. JT is extremely professional and makes you feel like you've known him for awhile. read more
