The owner Dan is very unprofessional. I placed an order online with updated info on the sign I needed and uploaded the old sign. I called and asked what the turn around time would be and could not give me an answer. I called 3 days later still told he needed to do the print. He send me the print a week later asking if the print is ok. I say yes thinking he found the correct print. He makes the print but did not update it with the new info I had originally requested that was submitted online. This guy said I had to resubmit a new order and pay again. Not easy to work with very, very unprofessional. Said he's been there for 20 years in Big bear. scary business! read more

I had a relatively small printing job, approx. 5 documents, a total of about 60 pages. I could do them at home, but my printer only does B&W and I wanted color, plus thicker stock. The website says they do small jobs, so I thought I'd give them a try. First time I called, the recording said they were on a lunch break. No problem, I left a message. I called again after 1PM, because I know not all businesses check their messages. Spoke to a woman there who asked me for details and then told me to email my files over and instructions on how I wanted them printed. She told me that they would get back to me with an quote that I could pay that online and then they could move forward with printing it. I gave her details so she knew it would be a very small job, and she said that was fine and that they would be able to get to it the next morning, if not that night. I sent a short email with simple instructions pretty soon after. Late the next morning, I called them for an update (I hadn't received an email). I believe the same woman answered, and I told her I hadn't received a response. She told me that they had other jobs in the queue and hadn't opened my email yet. I asked, so you only open new emails when the queue is clear? And she said yes. If that is true, that is absolutely wild, but I suspect it's not. I don't see how any company would be able to function by refusing to read or respond to emails without a clear queue, but what do I know? Nevertheless, I kept friendly and said that's fine, I could wait. This was by no means an urgent project. Well, it's been weeks and I never received a response. I decided to just go print it at a Staples the next time I was in Apple Valley. Hopefully, I was just an unlucky person trying to get help at the wrong time or something, but I personally wouldn't bother with them again. read more

They did a wonderful job on such a short notice for my Aunts funeral service. Dan was really great and we worked with Tiffany on the prints, she really brought our vision to life. We sent her a couple hundred photos and she created beautiful collages for us to display at the service. People really loved them and complimented them at service. We appreciated the empathy they had for us during such a difficult time. The professionalism and level of care they provided was comforting and we're grateful they were able to help us. The city said I needed to update something on my code sign during my inspection before getting approved. Not only was the quote from this company the LOWEST from the 3 companies the city sent me, but the employee found a cheaper alternative of just putting a sticker on the area of correction (instead of a whole new sign) and said she would stick it on herself since my home was near her house! These guys are great! I went in with a crazy request. I walked in there with 6 volumes of data books from my research for the past 2 years. They were able to copy these in PDF documents for me, since I did not have the time to do it myself. They cute off the binding of my spiral bound notebooks, and copied them into PDFs, then re-bound them for me. When I went in, I asked for their opinions, since originally I wanted a hard copy version, which would have been about 900 pages. They suggested doing the PDF copy, and I am glad the did, because now I have a digital copy of 2 years worth of data rather than 900 pieces of paper taking up space. I highly recommend using BVP, they are sweet and get the job done. Also, the shop dog is rad. In addition, their prices are appropriate. I also went there to get my 200 pagesmanuscript printed (color and black and white pages), and the price was so low compared to other copy shops up here and down the hill. read more

That's right, great full service printer in Big Bear. I would give 4.5 stars just because it's hard to be perfect, but I don't expect perfection when it comes to something subjective like printing promotional materials. BVP gives you all the reason to stay local for printing needs with great rates, turn around time and overall quality. Been using Dan's services for over 4 years now....biz cards, magnets, fliers and rack cards for multiple businesses. I recommend them highly, plus there is usually a friendly dog to keep you company when they are on the phone :) Be smart, shop local, the money stays in the community that way. I don't mean to sound preachy but it's the truth! read more

The customer service and product quality was acceptable. I ordered a set of vinyl stickers through them. The solid black area of the stickers was not as deep as I hoped for and has some printer artifacts (grayish lines through the solid black section). Don't know if it's because of the material, but I'm a little bummed about it. The proof they showed me on regular paper looked better. With regard to customer service, it's no grand slam (unless you're buddies with them), but Dan was helpful and friendly. Other employees seemed rushed and unhappily interrupted whenever they helped me. The products also took a little longer to complete than they expected. Maybe I came at a bad time? For the premium price of buying local and the mediocre customer service, I don't think I will return unless I have very specific & custom projects. For everything else, I think I'll be using online services which have been just as fast (including shipping time) and much cheaper. But hey, this is just one experience. I've heard tons of great things from others who have gone through BVP. Maybe I'll give them another try. read more
