The workers at Outback Zack are great. The worker who primarily came to my house was Seth. He is extremely friendly, a hard worker, and very helpful with all of the questions that I had. I had a rat infestation in my house for about a month. I tried catching them myself but only got a couple and decided to hire the professionals. Seth took care to make sure all entrances to my house were sealed and answered various questions I had regarding the rats. As of today all of the rats are gone and I am very happy. My only complaint is the front desk not booking me properly. I had to call multiple times to confirm and book appointments. A couple appointments I told them to book me for a couple hours because I still heard rat activity midway through the process, but the front desk waved me off and booked me for a 30 minute "trap check" appointment. However, when Seth came for those appointments he took his time and spent multiple hours at my house on several occasions sealing more entrances and setting more traps. Very happy with the workers but I think the process could have been sped up if the front desk had booked the workers properly and in a more timely fashion. read more

Outbackzack's checked the jacuzzi and the house for rats, took photos, made the repairs, and blocked possible entrancs. They were communicative, friendly, and accomodating. It would be great if they had a same day service, sadly some important wires were chewed through between when I called and when they could make it out to fix a week or so later. After being sprayed on two occasions by a skunk on our property, we wanted to relocate the skunk humanely and found Zack. He was able to locate the skunk den immediately and set up the trap where we had been sprayed. With our outdoor cameras we were able to see that the skunk was trapped the first night and that there was actually a second skunk still running around. Zack was out first thing in the AM to relocate the trapped skunk, laid a new trap and got the other skunk buddy that night. We were elated to have saved these beautiful creature's lives and can now safely take our dog out to do her business at night in the backyard. read more

I worked with the team for close to three months to catch rats that are coming into our cabin. There are still rats coming in to this day in our home and they never physically caught a single one. There was no pause in activity from the rats for the three months. Just continued evidence of droppings day after day. The owner was also quite rude when I asked about why. Would not recommend. Spent lots of money and literally no solution. We need to hire again as the problem still exists. read more

OBZ is very friendly & curtious- they did great work on the remidation of some pests I had, they not only do removal by environmentally friendly trapping (no leathal catch and release) they also did minor construction work for me by replacing water damages flooring under the sink which was a point of entry also sealed around pipes and other cracks and crevices. I could not be more thankful to Outback Zack's for coming out to recover a deceased raccoon from my build up area. It being I Friday and the start of a heat wave, I didn't know how long it would take to get anyone one for even just a estimate, these situations only get worse with time. It was great to find someone to take care of the entry points of the rodents (and possibly bats) and not use poison or even dehydration bait! After they expertly found all possible entry points and block them, there wasn't any to trap. I can't say enough about Outback Zack's professionalism and quality of their work. Zack provided me a prompt quote and I scheduled them to come out to get rid of unwanted racoons that made a terrible mess of my boat, while it docked in Lake Arrowhead. I was unware that I brought home the two raccoons, until I found them under my seat and in the engine compartment. Don't let their cute faces fool you, racoons are destructive and caused a lot of damage to my boat. I needed them removed and my boat cleaned and sanitized before more damage to my boat was done. Michael came out and was amazing! He let me know exactly what time he would be there and showed up right on time. Michael thoroughly inspected my boat, under the seats, storage and engine compartments and wherever they could be living. Once he verified that they were gone, then he secured the boat for the night. Since raccoon feces and urine is really dangerous for humans, Michael came back the next day to start the cleaning process and sanitizing my boat. Michael was so kind and worked extremely hard to make sure my boat was like new. It is hard to find companies that go above and beyond for their customers but this company did. We had an uncontainable mouse and rat infestation. Hired other companies some set traps monthly, however, unknowing to me, the back of my house under the deck was a highway! They would never have been successful. When I engaged Outback Zack, they were timely professional and told me what needed to happen. So based on Zacks aggressive responses to other reviews, I was hesitant to write this but ultimately decided I had to say something. (fully expecting him to respond to this aggressively/unprofessionally like he has on other reviews and prove my point). So I called Zack to ask about Rat/Mice Removal after Burkitts and Home Defenders Pest control, were booked out for a couple weeks. Burkitts and Home Defenders charge $0 to come out and inspect, but because Zack said he could get out there to treat right away, I paid the whopping $175--just for an inspection. Should have been my first clue...He actually gave me a figure on the phone saying he "can't see it costing more than $500" (his exact words, don't let him say anything different) since the house is only 400 square feet, which was reassuring and sold me. So he sends his tech out, and tells me ill be getting a quote on Friday. Sunday evening rolls around and I finally have my quote for $1900 for rat proofing a 400 square foot house lol. My bids from Burkitts was $840 and Home defenders was $950, mind you-- same house. So long story short, I asked him to come down to a more reasonable price to compete with his competitors, which he did and we agreed on 1200... which I only considered because he said he could get out there the next day, and living with rats is not ideal. He assured me that his tech would be able to get to "99%" of holes and entry points on the house. Great, I was happy to come to an agreement and looking forward to having no 7 pound rats in my house.... So his Tech comes out next morning, and quickly tells me that for $1200 he will only be sealing up the "most obvious entry points" but there will still be a lot of openings left... Tech was not aware that Zack told me that the price would include "99%" of entry points. Uhhhhh with rodents, what's the point of sealing at all if you're not doing all entry points??? Especially for that price. He offers only a 30 day warrantee and Burkitts and Home Defenders offer A FULL YEAR... kinda speaks for itself. ****RESPONSE TO REPLY: lol the aggressive response I predicted, even going so far as to name- call me "trouble." I truly can't believe Zack admitted to trying to pay ppl off to edit their review! That's literally illegal and If that doesn't say it all...Zack is apparently going to blatantly lie: a tech came out to my home before I had to turn him away due to discrepancies regarding what Zack offered on phone vs what tech was prepared to do.... Also, let's think about this logically, Zack: How could your treatment possibly be 99% effective against rodents if you are not covering 99% of entry points, anyway?. You said yourself rodents can find ways inside via tiny perforations only an inch or so wide. Does leaving entry points wide open sound 99% effective? even if I did mishear your? (I didn't), it is clear are trying to gaslight me and make me question what I heard but it's laughable because either way it isn't a good look for you. Customers please note you will be "trouble" for calling out the exorbitant prices 2x competition and wondering why its taking days to get a reply. read more

This is my second review for this company, as they have helped resolve serious, complicated problems in my home. Three years ago Zack professionally and humanely ended our woodpecker problem, and he also did a great job repairing the damage! He is very experienced and his prices are reasonable...I even received a good discount! I recently needed help with a mouse problem, and John was prompt in coming to my house and did a nice job trapping them and sealing up entry places. As a conservationist I looked forward to Zack removing rats in the attic and undercarriage of my house Humanely. Disappointed. His inspection of the undercarriage vents was insufficient in that I had to screen them off myself when I realized they still allowed rodent access. Plus he didn't inspect all of them. For the vents he sealed off on the roof, he did an excellent job. However, unbeknownst to me, he did not screen-off all of the roof vents causing me to crawl up there to complete the work myself. Every spring the raccoons return to my neighborhood to take advantage of the lush grass and grubs. They use the roofs in the neighborhood to travel and find a place to hunker down and raise their babies. This year they managed to get into my attic (or so I thought). I could hear them scratching above my head, rolling around in the middle of the night and fighting when they got into each others space. I had two local companies come out to provide a "Free" inspection. Well, you get what you pay for. Based on the piles of poop on my roof it was obvious it was a raccoon problem, but neither company could find any evidence of the critters in my attic at all. Neither company ventured into the backyard, they simply looked in the attic and pretty much told me that they were only playing on my roof. I told both companies that I would climb up the ladder to check when I heard them but they weren't on the roof, they have obviously found some space under the roof to nest. Both technicians dismissed me. A few days later the activity got louder and more constant. I called them both and the response was, you can buy a trap and trap them. It would be too expensive for us to do it for you. Really? I had never been provided the cost to be able to determine if it was too expensive. It may be, but I still needed the little guys removed. In other words, they wanted nothing to do with my raccoon problem. I found Zack on line with only a handful of reviews, but far better than other companies and now I know why. I am not going to sugar coat it. What Zack and his team do is not inexpensive, but they care about you, they care about the animals, and they get the job done! This work is difficult, but necessary and it was handled humanely and a win for both me and the Racoons. Zack was quick to respond, outlined my options and the costs, and scheduled a visit quickly. His technician John arrived, quickly assessed the problem. Discovered that the area they were hiding was a small space between my house and an extension. The entrance was in a very difficult area to get to and there was only one way in and one way out. So we couldn't flush them out from end to the other. John installed a one-way door so that the Raccoons could not reenter once they left after dark to forage. He then cleaned up several areas where the Racoons had established their latrines. He even took the bags with him to dispose of. Both John and Zack were professional and kept me informed with every step, determined to correct my problem. John left letting me know he would come back in a few days to ensure the racoons were gone, remove the door and seal up the space so that they can not re-enter. The next morning, I woke up to silence. No critters scurrying around above my head. Genius idea! The raccoons live to forage another day and I can sleep soundly knowing they are not creating damage to my house. Thank you Zack and John. I truly appreciate you both!! read more
