Neither of those companies saw my issue as a priority and were in no hurry to come out. They wanted me to wait about 2 weeks. I went on Yelp and saw this company, Family First Pest Solutions. The name immediately drew me in because I'd much rather support a family business as opposed to a huge chain. They didn't have many reviews, but the reviews they did have were amazing. I requested a quote on Yelp and got an answer within 20 mins with a list of different pricing options. Wow. Most companies like to beat around the bush or give you a huge estimate range. These people were to the point. I called and Linda immediately answered the phone. She was so sweet and said she would try to get us in today. (This was about 2pm and most businesses close at 5pm. I was very hopeful and appreciated them trying to get us taken care of.) Sure enough, her husband, the technician, texted me an estimated window of arrival. He gave me an ETA about 20 mins before showing up and arrived exactly when he said he would. He identified the problem immediately and explained how he was going to get rid of the wasps. He did his job quickly and let me know that the work was guaranteed for 60 days. Just like he said, within 2 days the wasps are completely gone. The professionalism, kindness, communication, and willingness to help us has made an impact. We will for sure be calling them in the future if we need anything. Their prices are fair as well, including the monthly maintenance packages. They blow the big chain company that starts with a "D" out of the water for sure. If you have any kind of pest issues, definitely give them a call. I promise you they will treat you better than the big guys will. We will recommend them any chance we get.

Animals are reportedly being kept in filthy, stressful, and completely inhumane conditions while the people responsible for their care often come across as arrogant, cold, dismissive, and lacking even basic compassion. A shelter is supposed to be a safe place for abandoned and vulnerable animals. Instead, this facility is constantly associated with fear, neglect, unnecessary euthanasia, and suffering. Healthy and adoptable animals allegedly lose their lives while rescues and adopters are desperately trying to save them. That is not "animal care." It is a catastrophic failure of humanity and responsibility. The public is tired of excuses, tired of the lack of accountability, and tired of hearing story after story of animals being treated like they are disposable. Dogs and cats are living beings capable of fear, pain, love, and trust and they deserve dignity, proper care, clean conditions, and people who actually value their lives. This shelter either needs to be shut down!!! Or needs serious oversight, major reform, and better management/staff who understand compassion instead of treating concerned members of the public like an inconvenience. No high-pressure sales stuff and he actually took the time to walk us through what he was seeing and gave us some solid tips on keeping mice out for good. We went ahead and hired him on the spot. He set up traps, sealed entry points, and we cleaned up what was there. Thought we were done... until a few days later when a couple more droppings popped up. The worst extermination company in the high desert. We have a mouse infestation and hired Forest to…read moretake care of it as well as monthly maintenace. He was hired in January after making a full inspection of our house assuring us he would be able to resolve this. The price was high but he justified it by saying it would require multiple trips to the house for removal of dead mice and replacing the traps. After the first month, he stopped his regular visits and came only when we called him, even though the issue was far from resolved. Traps were placed in the garage but no mice were caught, most were in our kitchen, behind the stove. Now however, Forest starts saying the mice are coming from the garage, which is full of boxes. Now, he starts saying that until we clean the garage, there's not much he can do. Also, he tells me the contract he wrote and I signed was for 30 days. After that, not his problem. Funny he failed to mention that earlier and just kept coming out and replacing the traps. We also signed up for regular maintenace but he repeatedly assured us that regardless of the issue, he would avail himself to us at any time for any issue because we were on his regular maintenace plan. Which was just not true. He missed two wasp nests under our eaves which had to be called to his attention. He was sloppy, leaving his mess in my bedroom and in the downstairs bathroom. He left muddy footprints on my bathroom rugs. He kept referring to me as "her" or "she" on the phone in a not so complimentary way even after being repeatedly told he was talking to "her" not my roommate whom he assumed he was talking to. I'm seriously considering taking him to small claims court!
