Efforts by Hatch Pest Solutions to exclude mice and chipmunks from my cabin in the woods appear to be performative at best. After sending me a message on the phone that they found a number of dead mice and dead chipmunks last week, on the third billed visit, with no mention of exclusions, the VP of Operations, Lisa, now claims that they have sealed up the outside of the house. I haven't confirmed this because it takes two hours to drive up there. On the next visit, they plan to sanitize. My husband now tells me that Hatch employees who came out for the estimate said there's a monthly Hatch customer in the forest nearby. They said they sanitize using Pine Sol. They didn't bother to inspect the space underneath the cabin. I've now had the very unpleasant experience of researching what it actually takes to exclude mice and chipmunks from a pier and beam cabin. Rodent borne pathogens require industrial enzymatic neutralizers, not scented household cleaners. The urine of mice and chipmunks can be detected by other mice and chipmunks from hundreds of yards away, acting as a beacon for proven habitats such as my cabin. Chipmunks are great diggers and have to be excluded using industrial grade steel hardware trenched underground. If exclusions were done correctly, I won't be a monthly customer for Hatch, which is probably really their goal. read more

I paid a decent bill to have them solve my rodent problem. Did NOT solve it and when the rodents came back in a month, I called another pest control company that were able to fix it for over a year now. Maybe it was just my luck..but I can not recommend..especially spending the amount I did to still have to deal with the problem. read more

Great service and communication! We are very very grateful for Hatch -- they were quick to respond and take care of the pest issues at our cabin. Repairs were made in a timely manner and follow-up appointments were so convenient! Thank you, Hatch! We will of course be working with them for future pest control services and routine maintenance, in addition to referring them to our friends and family:) read more

Had a little problem with rodents under my house, they were getting in through a small chewed out section of the door. Called hatch and they took care of trapping and repairing the door as well as filling any other small openings that could let them back in. Such a relief not to hear that scrambling around under there at night! You might have to wait a week or two to get an appointment because they are very booked up and that is because they are the best! Good fair pricing as well. read more

We have had a great experience with Hatch helping with our rodent issues. They have been very thorough, prompt, and accommodating during the entire process. We have gotten fair quotes for a few other issues and will definitely be in touch with them again soon. read more

Great service. On time! Had been bitten on face near eyes by gnats. Gone now! Great price! Reliable service! Third year we have hired Hatch.

Absolutely hands down the best. They went above and beyond. The customer service Heather provided was amazing as well.

Great service at a fair price. Steve, the owner, is very thorough, explaining the whole process. Was a pleasure to do business with him.

Hatch pest control is always organized and on time. They give you ample time to cancel if you have a problem and when they say will be there they are. You can depend on their service and they do exactly what they say they will. If there's critters, they remove them if they're not there they re-stock the Bait and let you know. I really appreciate them. read more

It was late at tonight and while trying to sleep, we heard scratching in our attic. I searched Yelp and found Hatch Pest Solutions based on nearly a 5 star rating and being local to our mountain community. The next day they immediately responded and setup a series of service visits to exterminate the pest(s), inspect and make repairs to close any openings. I found Hatch to be very professional, focused on service. Our exterminator, Nick, was very thorough and I appreciated that Hatch sent data sheets on all chemicals used as well as sending us information on Nick, including a photo so we would recognize him. Billing was simple and online based on photos and detailed reports of the work performed. This is the most professional exterminator on the mountain and I highly recommend them when you want to be assured that pests are eliminated from your property. read more

Reasonable service, kind staff. They will work with you. Not always available but they work hard.

Fabulous customer service from the get go. The techs that came out were fantastic as well. They put on shoe covers at my request They took care of the tiny little creatures, cute as they can sometimes be, with little to no interruptions as I went on with my day. Any and all crevices were sealed with precision and my little friends are no more! Thank you all!!! read more

Excellent service for ridding rodents in our crawl space. By far the best service supporting the Big Bear area. Before we found Hatch, we used other services and they never lived up to their promises. Hatch found every access point and sealed them up. Now we have no worries of them building nests, chewing on wires, or trying to into the condo. read more

We were very pleased with Hatch Pest Solutions. Not only was their administrative staff competent and friendly but their exterminator specialist, Kevin, got rid of the bees nest in the wall of the house almost instantaneously. Also, Kevin was very prompt. He came out within an hour of our call and was able to diagnose and solve the problem quickly. The bees haven't come back. read more

I've had a mouse problem the entire time I've lived at this house and I was at my wits end. So I finally found Hatch Pest Solutions several years ago and I highly recommend them. They have really done a fantastic job with eliminating most of the issues I've been having by sealing entry points around my house and monitoring on a quarterly basis for new activity. I'll still have mice from time to time because it's the mountains and it is what it is. But, the Hatch technicians promptly come out and find where they're getting in again and eliminate them. Overall, I'm extremely pleased with their service and am so happy I found them. read more

Owner/Operator Getting it done. Steve has Excellent knowledge of his profession and is very courteous and prompt.

I definitely recommend Hatch for your pest needs. Having a home in Big Bear it's been difficult to get any type of home service done in a timely manner for a reasonable price, and by respectable people. Not to throw shade, but that's a fair statement to a lot of services up here. For the first year of home ownership on the mountain, I was using a bug guy recommended by a good friend for spiders, but they only serviced BBL twice a week, which meant I'd have to plan my trips around their schedule. After awhile this was not working for me, and I also found this other company to be a bit pricy. On top of this, they were raising prices without notice to existing customers. After deciding to fire that other, not to be named company, I searched Yelp and found Hatch Pest. I can see why they have a 5 Star rating. These guys are wonderful! Hatch is half the cost than my previous bug guy, they service BBL everyday of the week, I get real time info on my service, accurate billing statements, text and email reminders, very professional and respectful service, and I get someone that actually answers the phone when I call! I really wish I hired them from the start. You can't go wrong with these pros. :) read more

We purchased our cabin in Big Bear almost two years ago. It had been pretty much abandoned for at least a year or two and came with a major rodent problem. They were everywhere. Stephen came out and caught a lot of them but, every time he did, more managed to get into the cabin. It's taken many trips and several exterior patches that Stephen and his crew made but, we've now been pest free for the last several months and what a relief it is. We can still hear them at night scurrying around under the cabin but, they're not getting in and we are very happy with Hatch's service. read more

We recently started using Hatch for our summer home in Twin Peaks. They are one of the best service companies we have ever worked with. The entire company from top to bottom is extremely well organized. Ryan our service technician is the best. On our last service day we had forgotten to leave a key for him, so he called to let me know, did the exterior and agreed to make a no charge trip back once the key was there. Ryan's work and communication are outstanding. Hatch is the best in every way, I only wish they serviced the desert so we could use them here. read more

Thank you to Hatch and Kevin for quickly cleaning up our attic. We had a bird infestation prior to purchasing our home. The previous owner sealed the attic, but did not clean the mess. We Just bought a cabin in the mountains a few months ago and saw some little creatures scurrying around the place. I first tried to deal with them myself in the crawl space and caught about 15 in 3 weeks. I decided I might need to bring in a heavy hitter. I called Hatch Pest Solutions and spoke with Heather who is incredibly lovely and accommodating. We set up and appointment and Paul came by to check out the property. He was incredibly knowledgeable, hard working and fast. He inspected the property, set traps, gave advice and information. Found things I didn't think of and set follow up appointments. I would highly recommend them if you want diligent, effective and transparent service. read more

Met with Kevin today and he did an outstanding job. Very detailed and professional. Couldn't have been nicer.

Did not appreciate the rude and unprofessional communication from Heather and Lisa. "...as mentioned when you were first provided information..." and "I'm Lisa, the Office Manager that responded to your Yelp request yesterday, you have been speaking to the Admin Staff not the Owner. Per your response in Yelp..." Was told by Stephen to follow up with them but they must have experienced miscommunication because this response was not aligned with my question at all.
