I like using the US Post Office. I believe more people should use the post office. I find them to be efficient and extremely hard working. What I have come to expect from this location is that they are understaffed and possibly some of the new hires need to emulate the work habits of the more experienced staffers. At least put on a smile like the guys there do. I normally don't have a problem but there was an incident I witnessed that needs to be put out there. I was in with my package pickup notification and the line (like normal) was practically out the lobby door. People sending packages were in line for almost 45 minutes. As I was picking up a package, I was herded to the far side with other package picker uppers were at. When I got to that end, another customer (apparently sending a package) was taking a picture of the long line with her phone. The managerial staffer chose to ask what she was doing and pointed out that there were security cameras and that the customer did not need to take a picture of the line. I wish there was audio to go with it because the managerial staffer was very disrespectful and should have left the customer alone. I understand she (the managerial staffer)may have had a rough day - but it shouldn't be taken out on a customer. On the whole, this is not a bad location. I have been in numerous times over the years and never witnessed a situation like this before. Even with this incident I would still recommend the US Postal Service for anyone sending packages or other shipping needs. read more

This office ALWAYS has long, long lines. 33 people in line at 2:30pm. There is NO slow time. Only three clerks. Horribly understaffed. 14 people in line at the passport window. I end up coming here about once a week, because the delivery person spends a millisecond at my door delivering packages. They always run off quickly. I am recovering for several surgeries, and can not sprint to the door. I usually see the taillights as soon as I open the door. Half of the time the clerks cannot read the scribbled numbers on the orange notification slip. Waited over 2 weeks for a package last month. I have a lot of parcels shipped to my home, and it is difficult to track all of the numbers to match. I had to send other people to retrieve stuff because I was unable to walk or stand for more than 5 minutes. Most of the time they were unable to wait an hour, or more to pick up stuff. This post office is ridiculous with wait times for the passport line. I came in at 2:00pm it is now 3:30pm and I haven't even moved. I wonder why they don't have more than one person working line. It looks like it is a problem after looking over other reviews. I didn't know this would take all day otherwise I would have looked into coming another day when I didn't have plans for dinner which I might have to cancel if this takes another hour and a half. The line has been closed since 3 but is still full of people that were here before 3. How do they expect people to have jobs and try to get your passport. I luckily have today off but if it was tomorrow there is no way I could get this done before or after work with there 10-3 hours. I would really suggest adding another able body to help work the passport line. I'm not upset with any of the people here just more of how this office is being ran. I am unfortunately not going to be leaving a happy customer even though the people here seem like there nice. read more

This place doesn't even deserve a star. After 4 hours of waiting in line for a passport, the only person working the counter goes on a lunch break. We had to leave because our 1 year-old was running out of energy believe it or not. Why are there not more people working???! And it's the 21st century! Why can't a portion of this application be completed electronically or pre-filled & sent out & then an appointment scheduled??? This process is an Absolutely ridiculous demand of people so that they can have the right & freedom to travel. I feel bad for the only person working the passport counter who has to hear each person complain once they finally get their turn. I honestly cannot say that I've ever seen anything run so inefficiently & horribly. Not to mention all the people that were coming in to mail things. I witnessed about 20 people come in and curse up a storm bc the postage machine wasn't working or the parcel drop off was locked after they finally were able to get their postage. Please figure out a way to make this more efficient!! read more

Still having mail issues. More misdelivered mail. Important payment information from the VA in Denver to a PHD at a PO Box in zipcode 80047. Was delivered to my home address at 80017. Guess it wasn't important enought for the post office to deliver to the correct address. Also got mail for 80016. Neighbors get mail for other zip codes as well. Went to mail box this morning after pikcing up what was delivered yesterday. Found more mail that was misdelivered to neighbors in my mailbox. Thank you neighbors. This is ridiculous. Was expecting certified mail with a large check and paperwork. Tracked it to the Aurora post office on Alameda & Buckley. Then traking info said there has been a delay in delivery we will update information when available. Three days later still says the same thing. Luckily I stayed home as it was delivered 4 days later. Checked the tracking info after delivery. Still says there has been a delay and no tracking or delivery information available. I would like to give negative stars to this place....!! My parcel shows up in Aurora at 3am and then ends up at the Aurora "facility" instead of "unit", apparently the regular Post office is a "unit", after getting texts and tracking saying it would arrive today..hoping to get the company i deal with the most to start using ups or fed ex even if i have to pay more...2 packages ago the delivery person scanned my parcel 14 times and never delivered it...then I heard them lie about it to the supervisor i was lucky to get on the phone at all..we have hd cameras facing the porch and mailbox and he never brought a package while saying he did...worse and worse service..only hoping my parcel shows up tomorrow as I was told by a worker over the phone...have already had negative business problems from not getting my items...I used to send a letter from Ks to Va in two to three days from the time i dropped it off or it was picked up from my mailbox..can't believe how far downhill usps has gone.. read more

Do yourself a favor and go to the Gateway Post Office on Abilene.. don't waste your time here.. First, it is next to impossible to get someone on the phone. I tried calling to get information re: submitting a passport application. When I finally did get someone on the phone I was greeted with a nasty tone of voice and told the best time to come down is 11:45am. When I arrived at 11:45 I was told someone would be with me shortly.. 20 minutes later I was told they are on lunch and to come back at 1pm... like I have nothing better to do than wait around for an hour and a half for some half wit. In my opinion, the staff at this post office could seriously benefit from a course in customer/public relations read more

This is the worst PO in Aurora. Unfortunately, it is also the biggest. They have two kiosk machines you can use and one of them is always broken. I went in this morning on the last day to mail Xmas packages and they were both down!! One of them was down off and on all week before Christmas. They just take a sheet of paper and write "out of order" on it and call it a day. On the Saturday the week before Xmas, the line for the counter was almost out the door. We waited in line for 1.5 hours and there were only two people working the counters!!!! A 3rd came out for a few minutes and then was gone. ON THE SATURDAY A WEEK BEFORE XMAS!!!! The female manager there is a nightmare. When customers aren't looking, she likes to mock them and exaggerate their problems to other customers. There was a vehicle parked there taking up prime space for a year and a half with expired plates. She did nothing about it--was probably hers. The only bright spot there is Dave that works behind the counter. That man has patience, is nice, and is helpful. read more

I am tired of my postal carrier stating that a package was undeliverable and I had to wait in a long (approx 40 min - 1 1/2 hour wait) to pick up a package they never bothered to deliver (there is always someone home). I am sick of their laziness and inability to do their job correctly. Moved here 2 years ago and never ran into incompetence with the post office like I do here. read more

I am horrified at how this facility and its staff operates including a day supervisor. I recently moved and requested that all mail and parcels be forwarded to our new address. For the most part that's been the case, but on two particular, very expensive packages the post office failed to forward them to my new address, which they are supposed to do for up to a year. Now those packages have either been stolen or have "disappeared" . The supervisor is not at all concerned that this is their fault due to their negligence. It's one thing to not receive an apology but it's unprofessional icing on the cake to have the supervisor and other staff members intentionally hang up on me when I'm trying to talk through this situation with them. I've been told the mail carrier is going to retrieve the items but I'm highly doubtful that'll happen. I'm sick to my stomach at the loss of the valuables I've purchased due to the careless nature of this post office and their lack of respect or concern. Oh and by the way - GET THE PHONE SYSTEM UPDATED! It takes over 20 minutes and 10 tries to get through to someone here. Horrible service, horrible attitudes and disgustingly unprofessional. read more
