I haven't even stepped foot in this location and I'm already unhappy. I'm expecting a package and the current status states that it was out for delivery since 04/12. passport appointment was cancelled without sending any notification! waste of time!!!

The Asian guy in his mid 40's, who claimed to be the postmaster, yelled at me for not honking when I backed up in the parking lot. I did not hear him the first time. Then he scream at me rudely to "Honk your f***king horn." Told him I did not know about the rules since no sign was posted besides there was no one behind my car. The parking lot was practically empty except for one postal van. He started raising his voice further that he does not ever want to see me in his parking lot again. Told him he does not own the parking lot. This parking lot is for post office customers that drop off bulk mail. He said he is the postmaster and this is his post office & parking lot. He came within inches of my face twice, while screaming at me rudely "What are you going to do about it?". I saw in his eyes that he wanted me to beat me so bad. I told him to back off. Another customer saw the whole thing and told the guy to stop bullying me. This rude postmaster started yelling at that guy not to come to "his" post office also. I asked for his name so I can report him to his boss. He refused with "You don't need to know my name. I am the boss here. Just don't let me see you here again.". He threaten me before walking away. This guy should be a thug, not a postmaster. I don't care how much work or stress this guy has, but not being rude should be rule number one. If this guy works in the private sector, he would have been fired for ill treating a customer that spent $6,000 a month on postage. I am 62 years old, by the way. read more

If I could, I want to give them ZERO stars even negative stars. This is my third time they lost my package. I went there many times and tried to get the solution. Each time the manager who named Sing just repeat letting me leave my name and phone number. But they would NEVER call you back. I have no choice but went the USPS website to claim a compliant. SURPRISINGLY, several days later, I received an email said my issue had been taken care of with Alhambra Post Office. They just closed the case without having any conversation with me. I felt so ridicules about the careless and irresponsible of their staff. If you don't know how to service your customers, you should not get any penny of your salary. The saddest thing is, although I was so pissed off, I have to keep going there if I received international mails as long as I live in this area. I don't have the alternative choice. I think this is why their staffs never change their insufferably arrogant attitude with so many complaints. read more

The most horrible customer service I have ever had at a post office, EVER. Jen raised her voice at me and told me I should have weighed my own packages at the kiosk before getting inline instead of just answering my question as to which customs form I should use. This post office is run like it's own private business instead of like every other United States Post Office I've been to. And the customer service is the worst I have had at ANY business. Went there with my friend to apply her passport. This postal office closes at 4pm, we went there 2:30pm, they kicked us out saying they are short of hand! WTF! We drove a long way and spent more than half an hour in a rainy day and you just kicked us out??? It was a mid aged man and women there. The clerk, Melissa, was very helpful. For those who need to get their passports done, you absolutely need to make an appointment. Do not rely on the information provided on the usps website. She was kind enough to squeeze us into her busy schedule. We saw the appointment book and it was pretty full. The next available appointment looked at least three months away. Unfortunately they delivery poor passport customer services at this site. Inadequate signage and confusing directions. The staff is short with customers and it seems like management has no concept on scheduling adequately for coverage. Signage reads passport services are 9-4, yet upon arrival and after waiting long lines, they tell you that the services are closed for the day and to return the next day! read more

My mailman sucks...he always get my mail delivered to another apartment. Mine is 615 #6 and he would delivered them to 611 #6. The workers at the post office, they get five stars customer service. They need to train their mailmen again because I never had problem when I was living in San Gabriel. read more

This place has the worst customer service you can imagine. I had to wait 1 hour for the lady that takes care of the passport to come back from lunch when other clerks could help me. But because that's what the supervisor said, then that's what's going to happen. I could hear the supervisor yelling at other customers that don't know how to speak English. This is ridiculous! I came in to renew my passport & the service was great. I came in on a Thursday at 9, I was asked to sign in I was only the second person in line. They gave me the application to fill out, a girl by the name of Ivy helped me out. She reviewed it, made copies of what she needed. She was nice & I was in & out of there in 20 minutes. There was also another man there I didn't catch his name but he also very nice. Just make sure you bring in everything you need & it should be a quick process. read more

I run an online business and am here every couple of days to mail things. While they're understaffed and parking can be difficult, the people there try their best despite being yelled at for things (such as the long wait) that are out of their control. Hector always tries to help me out when he can if I need assistance, and the rest of the staff is fairly friendly too. read more

Lucky me. It's the closest post office and happens to be a super good one. It's clean and the service is friendly and accommodating. They work fairly fast, more than other post offices I've frequented and typically with a smile. I try to come early to avoid lines. Not a fan of the parking. Not enough spaces and it's off a one-way street to make it more interesting. Overall though, not too shabby! read more

Go to the post office on Valley if you can: 1603 W Valley Blvd, Alhambra, CA 91803 The one on Valley has EXCELLENT customer service. They really help you to the best they can. I always leave with satisfaction. The people there are super friendly, nice, helpful and their service is great, but NOT this post office on Bay State St. The only reason I went to this one is because they open on Saturdays till 2pm, while the Valley one is closed on weekends. Today, I arrived there by 2pm. I was packaging my packages up and when I was done, the lady (short asian lady, with long permed hair) that was processing my items on their self-check out actually turned out to be incompetent in her assistance and could not help me. Instead, she grabs her manager? (some tall, old man with full head of white hair) who also refrained from having my items be processed. I was already inside the building way before it was closed. From my understanding, as long as you're inside the building BY CLOSING time, all customers need to be ACCOMMODATED. You don't just leave customers hanging like that. You get the job done. SIGN-UP for time slots begins at 8:30 until all spots are filled up) Saturday 9-1 (APPOINTMENTS ONLY) The woman handling passport applications was knowledgable albeit a bit rude. However, she knows her stuff and handles things efficiently. Don't act like an idiot or she'll treat you like one. I had everything ready for my passport application so everything went smoothly. I always come here for the services. Victor and another asian male staff are friendly and helpful, especially Victor, he is one of the reason why I come. Recently I had a major surgery and would need to travel to another country for treatment but realized my passport was expired. I waited until I am able to drive and called passport office to confirm if I can come in or need an appointment. I even explained my situation that i cannot be standing long and if now is a good time to come. The male staff who answers my phone call was nice and patience and told me to just come by. However, when i got there around 12pm and got in line, that witch asian lady who is in charge of the passport service told me she will not help me since she needs to go to her lunch at 1pm. I told her i just called and told to come but she was careless and yell me back to come back tomorrow. This lady shouldnt even be working there if she doesnt have the heart to help. Especially when I just made a call and was told tp come. She was bitching about the person who answered my call instead of being responsible for their words. Hey lady, God is watching! read more

This is a great post office. Very big and old feeling, nice to walk inside. They do all the post office kind of things here like is photos and such. Lines can be long sometimes so be ready to wait, however if you have a credit car there are 3-4 kiosks you can use to sent packages and buy stamps. For some reason almost no one uses them so you can get in and out really fast with these things. read more

Passport services normally open around 9am on weekends, but I was there around 8am and they still helped me without a grudge - pictures, and application stuff. They even asked me if I was satisfied w/my pic. Really helpful, and genuinely nice. read more

Avoid Jin, I've been selling and shipping stuff on Amazon and Ebay for the last year trying to clear out my stuff. I'm there AT LEAST twice a week and have been serviced by everyone there, including the manager. Jin is the only one who said I have to pay for the $2.95 delivery confirmation instead of the $0.85 version that I've been paying for a year. She points to the rule, is rude and then hands you off to a manager while she hides in the back . She's done this twice now. This last time I pointed out to that one package did not fit their rules but the other did. It wasnt until -I- wanted to call a manager over to verify that she passed me off to another co-worker saying she needed to "review" something. I've shipped all kinds of stuff all over the world and never had a problem. And i wouldn't even mind paying the extra different charge for the same basic thing if it wasnt for her attitude. read more

Useless staff all around! Rude mail woman and workers who have nobregards or concern to consumers. Someone broke my mailbox so i went there to report. Twi chinese women were there and were so unconcerned anout the incident i was on the verge of tears but one of them even ask me to come back because they were busy! I came bavk at 430pm and filled out a yellow form that a theft was filed and my mailbox was broken for them to not deliver my mails. Two freaking days straight they still deliver the mail even with my form/note intact!! Another asian guy was so unconcerned about the incident ( i think his name was vince) rather than help me he kept saying just to come back again the next day because he doesn't know whats going on. The Alhambra Post Office is OK enough; however, I do not know why they cannot deliver our packages to our Post Office boxes in a timely manner. I received a USPS Tracking email notification that sorting was completed at the Alhambra Post Office by 8:30 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2019. It still has not made it to my box as of 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, March 20, 2019. Yes, two days and no sign of the small package actually making it to my Post Office box. read more

The young lady who handles the passport applications, I believe her name was Ana, was so helpful and understood my situation. I work a slave job for the time being and she didn't ask any questions after I told her I work six days and I called off to apply today. Unfortunately for my millennial ass I did not know I needed my passport, passport photo, social, birth certificate, and of course my drivers license. I was there at 3 and she told me to go get everything and if I'm back before 4 she will do it for me. I was there at 3:56 and she was more than happy to help me and although my passport photos were too big( thanks to rite aid) I loved the service she gave me. And for that I thank her!!! read more

This Post office is horrible. Not only is it filthy, but the workers are very inefficient--the lines are always long and THEY SENT MY PACKAGE TO THE WRONG LOCATION. I paid extra for 2-day shipping because I had a package that needed to be delivered so the product inside could be sold at a boutique, AND THEY SENT IT TO A DIFFERENT STATE because the worker couldn't read and typed in the wrong zip code. Not only did I miss the boutique ENTIRELY, but the post office told me there was nothing they could do. UNACCEPTABLE. I will never return to this facility. read more

My uncle made a purchase on E-Bay from Russia on August 13, 2018. He was also able to track it on USPS. On August 21, 2018 (Saint Petersburg to New York to City of Industry to Alhambra), it was finally delivered to this location; however, one of the staffs told him that they have tried locating it and they couldn't find it. he went back to this post office 5 separate times within the span of a month (August 2018), same outcome. He is really disappointed that his package could not be found when it clearly says that it was dropped off at this 91802 location. I mean, i would understand if it continues to say "in transit" but 5 separate times, still nada. read more

I'm indifferent about this place as it's a hit or miss. I like the people who work here as they're nice but it's always crowded, the machines don't work sometimes and the people who go to this place throw their trash all over the place. The mornings and about 4pm is the worse as it's so crowded. It's a tough business though and I give props to the people who work here though. I have been between here and the San Gabriel postal office for over 6 years. The usps clerks here provide outstanding customer service overall. For some reasons, you won't see the same courteous service from the neighbor postal office in city of San Gabriel. It is a shame, doesn't USPS has same standard on customer service???? read more

I love going to this post office in Alhambra. The staff are so professional and courteous. Plus, this post office is so organized. The lines are long, but they move quickly. This post office always has plenty of staff on hand to take care of your needs. This place also processes passports. The only drawback is the lack of parking spaces. read more

I have been to this post office several times and I usually feel a bit intimidated by people waiting in line behind me as well as the brusque manner of the employees since I do have a few questions. I had to change my last name on my passport and this was one of the closes post offices to me. I can't believe the unprofessionalism and disrespect, when I walked up to the counter I was greeted with hurry up I need to go lunch. I asked a few questions regarding my passport in which I got no answer to, then the postal worker grabs my application and supporting documentation stuffs it in an envelope and hands me my receipt. I then tell him I think I missed a question on the application and he ignores me an leaves. I wait to speak to a different postal worker when this lady (assuming the manager) from the back comes out and asks me what I need. I tell her what happen and she says you need to wait he is at lunch (ridiculous) and I respond I can't wait that long. I'm explaining I need my application back to answer the question that was missed. She is no help so I decide to approach this younger postal worker I explained to him what happen he walks over and grabs my package and assists me. In the process the postal worker who was assisting at first comes back and asks what's the problem. I explain to him and his answer is " it's not my job to check your application". It is unbelievable how rude and unprofessional this postal worker was and how the lady who I assume was the manager did not say anything. If you are able to go to a different post office I suggest you do, I will never again step foot in this post office. read more
