The lady who stood outside the counter is very friendly and helpful. The two Asians who work behind the counter are nice and friendly too. I had a good experience there today. It is not that hard to get a good feedback, If everyone who works in the service field realizes that offer a smile and kindness will bring back a big reward or at least an thankful mind from the others. I am not a satisfied customer :( The phone lines are horrible. I attempted to call 5 times and still have reached no operator. It takes 3 minutes and 57 seconds to get 42 Rings! and then i am disconnected with no voice message to leave or in a Queue of calls. I am just so upset that I cannot get through I have been calling for sometime now and with no success! If I can give them a negative, I will. The WORST post office ever! I am very disappointed in the mail carrier because he lost my 2 IMPORTANT mails! I never got my USPS first priority mail delivered even with the tracking number! The USPS tracking number show that it is out for deliver and delivered, but i never got them. Well, this is disappointed. So i went to the post office asking where is my mail and who delivered the mail on that day. The staff told me they can't get in contact with the carrier now and I have to wait. Unfortunately, i never got any further follow up after that! So sad, and very upset with the poor work ethics and customer services. I can never trust this post office again and I'm very worried of the incoming mails. read more

Having dealt with this PO for over 25 yrs, I have seen the devolution into the mess that now passes as the USPS for Alhambra. On any given day, I am not sure if my mail will be delivered or in what shape I will find it. There are those days when someone with work ethics will deliver and my mail and packages will arrive in good condition. I would like to think this is the work of my regular delivery person. The fact that many times my mail is shoved into the mail box to the point of torn and ripped parcels is just a head shaking situation now, nothing to see here. Some delivery people just have no pride in what they do. The most frustrating issue is their habit of Not delivering packages and listing some bogus excuse like "Delivered to original sender" or "No Addressee" or "No Access." My favorite is "No such address." However, worst yet "Delivered" when they have not. It is my suspicion that they deliver what they want and any items still remaining at the end of day are just marked with whatever strikes their fancy. Never mind the problems this causes us or the sender. I have found they do this because they are able and willing to change any information on the tracking slip as they see fit or as looks better on paper. For this reason I now take screen shots to have some proof. Calling the main number for the postal service is useless since their response is a terse "Well, if that's what they listed then that is the reason it was sent back." When you request to file a complaint you get even more attitude. Interestingly, some seem to show up a day or two later with no changes to the address. Unless, if they forget to take the package the next day and it's left on a shelf at the main PO for days after listing it as "Delivered!" Yeah, there's nothing like being called a liar and a thief by a vendor only to find that the parcel is languishing on a shelf at the Post Office. Shame to think people are being paid good money for this. Just a shame. read more

The one star is for the clerks who were kinder and were capable of customer service. This year alone I've lost two packages via USPS. Both had tracking that stated the package was delivered, both times someone was home for the package. And both times, I received no package. I visited the post office and waited patiently in line, hoping that someone could help me. In comes the Customer Service Supervisor Daisy . She basically called the courier who said he delivered it. And that was it. I asked if it was possible that the item was mis-scanned, her response "no". I asked who her supervisor was, since her attitude was very rude and she clearly felt I was wasting her time, her response "I am the Supervisor". Customer service indeed. Her superior is actually the Postal Master, who is conveniently unavailable all the time. I filed a complaint and she said the Postal Master will get back to me, as she turned to another customer who had problems. I'll be lucky if that written complaint form makes it to someones desk. It's likely in the trash bin. After reading the reviews here on Yelp, it appears that someone else shares my pain. And someone somewhere is getting stuff for free. read more

The postal worker left my package on my back porch that is out of view from the streets! KUDOS for going the extra mile! (well, extra 100 feet!) Danny the supervisor is fantastic and went the extra mile to help me repair the mail box at my apartment complex. Passport services close time is posted as 4:00 p.m. on the internet. I arrived at 3:05 and they told me it closed at 3:00 p.m. I told them that the time on the internet ad was 4:00 p.m. The person there told me they had told the internet manager of this change of schedule. I checked in their postings on their own wall and it had the same time: 4:00 p.m. These idiots can't even change the schedule in their own office. read more

I have been a customer at this post office for the past 10 years, and have never had any problems/complaints until today. I had to return some books to Scholastic, an online book company that is very popular with teachers. I wanted to send them media mail. The clerk that helped me, Lucia, started shaking the box and said "There are no books in here." I told her there were 2 books, and I was returning them to the company. She kept arguing with me that there were no books in there. I told her to open the box and check. She takes her scissors and opens the box and declares "This is not a book" regarding one of the books. At this point I am in utter shock that she is arguing with me on what constitutes a book and then has to go show another employee "this s not a book". I am trying to remain polite and respectful at this point, and explained again..."Uh, that's a book. This company only sells books." Yet, Lucia was being very righteous and said it was not a book and I could not send it media, yada yada. By this time I was so humiliated by her customer service that I just finished my transaction and left. I am so utterly disappointed by my experience today, especially when all of the other clerks are so nice, helpful and friendly. Seriously, arguing over whether you think I'm really mailing a book back to a book company? SMH. read more

Worst costumer service. My package was undeliverable because they thought I moved out. How can you assume that someone moves out? My package was supposed to arrive on Tuesday and now it's Saturday. I was there on Thursday and waited for 45 minutes for the line and an answer... a lady told me that my address was not correct and I told her how do you know if it's not correct if I STILL live there? I spoke to a manager and he said it will arrive on Friday.... I also gave them my number. i called on Saturday so I wouldn't drive there, but they didn't answer. I called three times too, and I was annoyed so I drove there again. They told me the same stuff I heard last time. I could've cancelled my order and reordered it again. Very bad service . They lost the package I ordered , and couldn't find it. The staff in the office said " we give package out early sometimes. Maybe you order too many items , so you forget which one is which one. You might have it already " . I told her " I am a honest person . If I received my package , I would know". What a stupid lady . Passport Applications: 2 stars only because someone bothered to ask me if I needed help. So I get in line and an Asian male (with a red vest, Nice guy I wish I would of asked him for his name) approaches me and he is explaining to me that I need to make an appointment for passport that normally it takes 2 month (WHAT!!) I said "oh really, that's ok, thank you" as he was explaining to me that there is another post office that is walk-in first come first serve and it's in 120 Del Mar, San Gabriel I was thanking him so I hear the lady that is processing the passport today 5/1/2015 (not sure her name) Yelling at him saying "I'm not taking any more apt". So rude..... Mind you she was also helping someone. How can she hear our conversation-lol All he was doing was helping me....Anyways, don't come here for passports. Terrible passport service. The lady in charge of the service is NOT professional at all. We came at 1:40pm, and was told she was out for lunch. Signed name and wait. 30 minutes later the afternoon service started. Wait another 30 minutes, no call. When asking why, she said the signatures should be on the right side of the sign-up sheet. There's no way to tell where are the "right" spots, we belonged to the unlucky group. She also crossed out the names of unlucky ones on the sheet. Also she said "Wait behind". At 3pm, she announced people didn't sign-up should leave (passport service is until 4pm). No more customers! My wife tried to explain that we signed-up. Then she showed the sheet with the big cross-out. "Wait behind if i have time". 30 minutes per customer, and still 2 customers before us, gave up finally and went to San Gabril USPS office. Everything done at 3:30pm. What a joke of passport service in Alhambra USPS office. USPS employees are supported by our tax dollars!!! read more

I log into Yelp and notice the last complaint was the same as an incident I had too. The same lady Julie has to be spoken to. Her customer service skills are very horrible. Delivery is improving, but late on Saturday. Service on site is adequate, but understaffed for times when crowds can be expected.

the staff is always helpful and they always have the boxes and stamps that i need. when i don't want to stand in line (and i don't have international packages) i use the Automated Postal Center. it's a great user-friendly machine, and i like to use it on Sundays when the post office is closed and there's no one around. :) the parking is limited sometimes, but i usually park by the library or on Garfield. come early to avoid the lines, and don't come on Saturday afternoons. it's a mad house. read more

The staff here have always been nice and helpful for me, but they're always soooo understaffed. During most of the times I've been here, there's always a long line and only about two clerks working. Parking tends to be a bit limited too, but good thing there's street parking nearby if you can't find one right in front of the post office. read more

OMG tbh I don't really like the services at Any usps but this guy, his name is Denise I believe, he went beyond and helped me! I missed a package and I went to usps to see if my package was here cuz I needed it. He was super nice told me he would call me when my package arrives. The package arrived when it was about to close and he waited for me even after close hours! I'm so glad u helped me!!! I'm so thankful :) we need more people like him! read more

I wish I could give them 0 star. I first sent my letter to the Alhambra court which is across the street. They sent me back my letter asking for 20 cents more; WITHOUT stamping to recognize the date I sent. So, the letter past due by 1 day. I put in more stamp, sent back my letter again. And unbelievably they sent the letter back to me, with a stamp from SANTA ANNA. come on Alhambra USPS, don't be so stupid!!!! My letter was way too late to get to the Alhambra court by then! No doubt USPS is in trouble now. read more

Came here yesterday (the day after thanksgiving) I was frantically trying to find someone to give me some guidance. First because I never mail things. I don't know how this all works. How many stamps do I need??? I still don't really know. Secondly because I was under an intense deadline to mail some grad applications that needed to be in by Monday. I really appreciated that they have an employee in the lines directing people and answering questions before they even get to the counter! So helpful. The man helping me was awesome. He was giving me the assurance that my things would arrive on time without any extra fees and did not judge me for paying an extra $10 for overnight priority even though he said I didn't need it! People talk about going to the Post Office like it's such a bad experience. Yes there was a line... But I didn't wait more than 3 minutes before someone helped me and he essentially did all the work (packaging) for me! I'm not sure how it could of been better! The process was even full of some laughs. I'll be back when I'm cutting it close to the next deadline! read more

The lady in charge of passports "Mrs. Ping", was rude as all get out. Resting b face. But I digress, I really needed my passport. First time a nice enough lady said they didn't do photos, gave me a run down on all the things they needed, and said to come in at 8 in the morning if I wanted to be seen asap. Fair enough. After getting my photos, filling out the application, and giving them everything I was out in about 30 minutes. Mrs. Ping was just really short with me, seemed very irritated that I didn't have the application filled out as soon as she saw me. I had to fill it out and get back in line to have it processed. I get it I've worked customer service too but you can't be nasty with people for no good reason. I accept that not having the application filled out as soon as I got there was less than helpful but I wasn't sure I even had all of the documents. I tough they would send me back because I didn't bring my OWN coppies. They didn't and did the coppies for me but again, I didn't know that. All in all it went well just have everything with you and show up early. Best of luck passport people, bring your patience and a smile! read more

The service has definitely been improving. Whenever I go, there's always someone willing to answer your questions and I never experienced any type of rudeness or curt service. The clerks tell you exactly how pricing is done and I never had any problems or issues so far. The only thing is that there are limited parking spots but compared to the one in Monterey Park is not that bad. It gets supeeer busy during lunch time but the clerks try their best to help everyone. read more

This post office is my neighborhood post office. My Ebay package shown that it had been in this post office for 3 days. I had the tracking. After waiting another 2 days with no delivery, I went to the post office to find it. After waiting in line for 15 to 20 minutes, the clerk I had to dealt with was not happy that he had to go search for it. He could not find it, so he called the supervisor. The supervisor could not find it also. Nobody could find my package. read more

I don't have super high expectations in terms of customer service for federal or city operated businesses. Just like I wouldn't expect great customer service at a DMV office, I wouldn't expect it at a Post Office.. but this place takes the cake for the worst. They're usually pretty good but if you need to call them about a missing delivery.. good luck. it's a freaking lost cause, no matter what, to them, it's your fault. The Delivery Manager James is one of the rudest individuals I've had the displeasure of speaking to. I was waiting on a limited edition autographed book that costed me a good amount and it never came. I called them regarding the status and the Delivery Manager was speaking on behalf of his postman employee. He literally told me: "I know where you live, I left it on the porch".. okay if you knew where I lived, you would know I don't have a porch.. so he tells me that my neighbor probably took it and he can't help me with that.. but if he delivered it correctly, the "neighbors" wouldn't be able to take it. Besides that, I have relatives that live in the houses to either side of our house and across the street.. this is bogus. I mean if they messed up, they could've just admitted to it instead of being complete jerks about it. I brought up the point that there's another address within the city that is very similar to mine with the exception of the direction (south vs. north, which they've mis-delivered to in the past), and he was basically "well tough sh*t"..
