Not worth the money. There are much better nail salons in this area, who charge the same for better service. I wanted a gel manicure but didn't want to pay $35 at my regular place on Liberia, so I found a Groupon to get one here for $20 (regular price $35). The atmosphere is not relaxing or spa-like at all, but poorly decorated and disorganized. There are nail holes in the walls and rumpled, misspelled signs. The polishes are also disorganized, and don't fit well in their racks. My tech did an okay job, but took forever and gave a lackluster massage. There was only one tech there and no other customers. My usual place adds a paraffin treatment to their gel manicures for the same price, and has much better atmosphere. I may come back to US Nails, but only with a coupon or discount if I feel like I just can't pay full price at my regular place. I would never pay full price here. read more

I've never ever gone through anything like this in my life. When I walked in candi was very aggressive and wanted me to get the works. told her many times just needed wax and feet. Then decided to stay since I have a two year old that I needed to get back too. I picked a polish color and she told me it was ugly. So Candi said "I'll pick a better color for you". Then. She called her 6 year old son to pick my polish color. All I kept thinking is this women on drugs. While she was doing my feet she told me she's doing little extra since I'm nice lady. She kept bringing up that she's a single parent and needed to make money. While telling me this she added that she's doing fundraiser and accepting any donations. I noticed her angle and realized that she's trying to hustle me. I told her many times I'm a full time student and a single parent. She didn't want to get it and still kept asking me to donate. While she's working on my feet and begging for money she kept cutting my nails shorter and shorter. She cut my toe deep and kept going. She had to be on something the way she was acting. Then she had the nerve to ask if I knew anyone that had an iPhone for sale. Kept bring up she needed a phone but didn't have much money for it. She asked if I can find a phone and she'll pay me to get It for her. I told her flat out no!!! She took No more then 10min to do my feet. I told her I needed her to take the skin off of my feet. It was clear that she avoided doing anything I asked her to do. and tried to get me to donate money since she's a single parent over 6times. I hate this place and she over charged me!!!! Let me start by saying my wife and daughter received the service advertised without issue. They are technically proficient. The single star rating reflects the character of the organization! I am a Husband, Father, Soldier and Citizen. US Nails staff and customers engaged emotionally shaming my wife for getting my daughters nails done! One customer commented that my wife was turning my daughter into a monster! I am solely responsible for the physical & emotional protection of my family, and do not blame US Nail for that assault! Welp, all I have to say is, I don't think this place will stay in business much longer if what is happening at this moment happens all the time. At this moment, an employee (Dana) is arguing LOUDLY with a woman named Candy...swearing, telling her to shut the f!*@ up, and Candy (the owner, I believe) is actually arguing back while waxing a customer! So I went here a while back and didn't get around to reviewing, but here it is: don't go here. The nail tech who did my gel manicure did well, so I might follow him if he left this place, but the pedicure I had was dreadful. It was first started by one lady and then finished by another. The first lady basically wet my feet and started scrubbing. I was in pain and told her to stop and let my feet soak but she kept saying "is ok, is ok" and kept going. At one point she scrubbed up on my ankle and I recoiled in pain. She said "tickle?" and I said no, "hurt" and she drew a little blood. It took more time for the basin of the chair to fill, then for the actual scrub part of the pedicure. Worse, my feet were still rough and homely despite my raw and bleeding ankle. The second lady cut the cuticle and did the paint and was very gentle and took her time. At the end I tipped the guy who did my nails since they looked decent, and the girl who took her time. When I handed them their money another woman spoke up and said the tip I had given the girl was for the original woman. I told her no, it's for this girl. She said but then where's the tip for the other woman and I told her that she got no tip because her part was terrible and showed her my scraped ankle. This woman then responded "well next time you come see me, I'm the owner. My name's Candy." I'd already seen all the reviews about this woman so I told her "the only reason I'd ever come back here would be for him (pointing to the nail tech) or her (pointing to the pedicurist), and if they weren't here, I'd never come back. I have a toddler and my time and money is too precious to waste." Her response was "you bring in your baby and I'll watch for you. I'm great with kids. I'll babysit." Seriously?! I said "no thanks" and left. I probably might have returned to see the same two who did good service but the Candy woman is unbearable. Don't try to take away someone's tip, demand a customer tip a terrible person, then offer no apologies for an injury inflicted by that same person, but instead babysitting... I purchased a Groupon for my girlfriend and I: the special was Classic mani-pedi for 2 people $45. When we went to this place to have our nails done there was a sign saying "Sorry no groupon please we sold out return to Internet or online thank you store manager Candy"....this lady "refused" to honor our Groupon purchase despite the fact that there were no customers at all. Worst experience ever! The guy who did my Nails was nice. The manager name "candy" is one of the worst managers I ever known. She overprice everything!. I clearly stated of what she was charging me for. She still try to put excuse about what she was charging me Of. In return of what she was charging me she decided that she was going to give me a $10 gift card. I told her that I don't need it because I was never EVER going back to that salon. Purchased a Groupon for shellac manicure and a pedicure. The appointment was easy to make and they were ready for me when I walked in. The pedicure was very basic but the man did a good job. I would have liked one more coat of shellac on my finger nails but I can't complain for the Groupon price I paid. The workers in the salon were nice and no one tried to haggle me like mentioned in the other posts. However, the salon has a lot of peculiar additions to it. There is an area when you can buy snacks such as beef jerky, tuna, or candy which I thought was odd. They have children's toys and perfumes for sale. And there were piggy banks in multiple places that said "Please feed me, I'm very hungry." Not really sure what that's all about. read more

I have been going to this nail salon since we moved to Virginia in 2012. I have always received excellent service. Until they recently changed ownership. There's A nail tech works there named Candy. Yesterday was the first time she's ever performed any services on me. She's very pushy she changes the prices and then told me that the prices haven't changed. I've been going there for over two and a half years. The prices have changed. Don't lie to me and tell me if they have it. She says that someone ripped her off of $160 worth of services yesterday. I had my eyebrows waxed and a pedicure. She tried to wax my lip and I told her no she got aggressive with me. I had to sit up on the table get in her face and yell at her no for her not to touch my lips. I will be finding a new salon for my family and I. I don't like liars, & I don't like aggressive sales man type behavior in a setting where I feel pressured to have services that I don't want nor have requested. All the other salon techs there in the past and present have been very nice and accommodating. That's why my family and I enjoyed going there. Sloppiest shellac nail job I have ever gotten. Lied about the price, was told it was only $14 and got to the register only to have a $26 bill. The paint job looked horrid after I saw it in daylight. The machine to dry my nails created blotchy bubbles of paint and when I asked her to fix them she refused and told me to put my hand back in to dry. I got my nails done a few days ago and the polish has already come off on two of my nails. She speed through the whole process, and was extremely rude. Save your money and go elsewhere. read more

During gel manicure technician cut my cuiticles more than once I was bleeding. When gel manicure came out very sloppy I asked them to fix it and she refused and claimed it was perfect. They refuse to honor their Groupons, the salon is dirty and cluttered with crappy merchandise they are trying to sell, and my pedicure chipped within a day because they don't use quality nail polish. Terrible business -rude, unprofessional and illegal transactions. I reported them to Groupon so they can investigate them. My wife had a Groupon but they would not accept it, reported to Groupon and they are terminating their contract. They were very rude to my wife and told her she should have bought the Groupon directly from them. What?? Just terrible, like so many other reviews. I don't even want to give it one star. I knew it was going to be bad when I walked in for my appointment, which I had made the day before and they had no idea who I was or what I wanted. I was even contemplating walking out as I was picking out my nail color bc that crazy woman named Candy was arguing and yelling with one of her customers and then turning away someone who called to make an appointment that had purchased a groupon! I felt extremely uncomfortable and should have known it wasn't going to get any better. My pedicure was bad; they don't use the disposable trays so didn't feel sanitary and the woman barely scrubbed my feet. Did a quick polish and did not put top coat all over my toe nails. Gel pedicure was worse. She made my finger bleed and didnt let me get up and wash off the blood before she put the polish on!! So now i have dried blood on the side of my nail and can't remove it without taking the polish off my whole nail. There's a glob of gel polish on the nail of my ring finger and there's these little air bubbles. Plus it's ridiculous when i still see the sides of my nails because they didn't put polish on my full nail! Forget trying to call them out and ask them to fix it, they say they will and then just ignore you. Store is not clean, the women are extremely unprofessional and rude, and they can't even do nails correctly!! Complained to groupon and was luckily able to get a full refund.
