Having lived in Menifee for over six years, I have been waiting for more quality eateries to open. Sadly, it seems most people want to eat unhealthy fast food or are on a paper thin budget that drives them to fast food places. I am happy that Urbane Cafe has opened. The selection of salads, bowls and other healthy items for lunch has been a blessing. My favorite - the Mediterranean Bowl. The service is great, the food is tasty, too. My only criticism is that they did not plan for enough indoor seating at peak lunch hour. There's plenty of patio seating, but that's not a great option when it's 105 outside. This place is a weekly go to lunch stop for me. read more

Clean, appealing modern decor and friendly staff make you feel welcome, not to mention the warm cookies prominently displayed in the case next to the register! LOL. I ordered the Veggie Power Bowl with tofu (an extra $2.50 for that upgrade), and it was pretty huge. The bowl is colorful and appetizing, and they offered two generous helpings of dressings on the side so that I could try two. Everything seems to come with a wedge of some warm, yummy (buttery) wheat bread, so come prepared if you're watching your calories. Speaking of which, their salads are all in the 300-calorie range, which is cool. Mine was delicious and I ate all of it (took some time because there was a lot of it). Good beats are on the stereo, and the place overall has a good vibe. The dining room is a little on the small side, but there's a pretty patio outside (great for a cooler day than today--it's in the 90s today! ). What a great place! I brought my group after a day of golf and let me tell you, it was a perfect menu for such a hot day. The employees are friendly, and the food is fresh and flavorful. I tried the cold salmon bowl with brown rice, edamame, kale and sweet potatoes and boy was that delish. The glaze that topped the bowl made it perfect along with the fresh made focaccia. We ordered different items on the menu and all the ladies loved their choices. The food comes out quickly too! We also ordered the hand crafted drink choices . I had the watermelon lemonade and the rootbeer. I would go back just for the drinks but this place is a must try for everything. I forgot to mention they also have fresh cookies . We came out here to pick something up we wanted lunch so my hubs yelped this place n we were so happy. The food is fresh,fresh baked bread for sandwiches with house roasted meats instead of lunch meat. There salad that come with sandwich was fresh n delish We also shared a cup of the organic tomato bisque soup. Delish. If ur in the area stop u won't be sorry. Ten out of ten!! Gluten friendly bread has arrived at Urbane Cafe and I as well as my daughter can say it's DELICIOUS!! We loved it!! Ordered one club and one pesto & sundried tomato sandwich on the gluten free bread, FANTASTIC! My only suggestion was to mark the containers if there's gluten free items involved. I did order two club sandwiches - one gluten friendly and one regular. The bread is SO similar looking that we could hardly tell them apart. Had we not had the second gluten friendly (pesto) sandwich we possibly wouldn't have been able to see the difference and I might have gotten sick. Glad I didn't! So, I hope that they take this advice and GO with marking the containers. Please beware that there is an upcharge for the bread (additional $3.25 an order). So someone who doesn't eat meat got excited to try a place with a few choices for me . I really wanted a big salad but the salad choices are mostly all meat . So I went for two sandwiches lettuce wrap style to turn I do a big salad lol I got the portobello and Californian. Both sound delicious to me. Especially if it was all one salad with romaine lettuce tomatoes grilled artichoke and grilled portobello mushrooms on top . Yum I ordered on DoorDash so maybe it sat for 2 hours but it was literally lettuce wrapped romaine soggy lettuce with tiny pieces of the veggies they're named after or sell it by ! I feel like they ran out of didn't want to cook new so they used canned artichokes but just tiny fragments of it then canned mushrooms or sitting going bad ones ? This was my first time trying this place so maybe it was an off night; either way I definitely did not find my new go to spot . read more

I was lucky enough to attend the Urban Cafe Soft Opening Celebration. I love this California-grown & family-owned cafe! Food is delicious AND healthy. You can easily taste that ingredients are fresh and high quality. They also make their dough on site and cook their bread in front fo you. Sandwiches come with a side salad. I ordered the cilantro torta, so good! Salads are great portions and they come with dressing on the side + bread. I loved their ahi salad, as well as the Santa Maria BBQ chicken salad. Plenty options for vegetarians too! Their old fashioned lemonade is perfect. Not too sweet. Lastly, their cookies are warm and bomb! I'm really happy to have this healthy cafe here in Menifee. After placing my order online my order said it will be ready @6:20 I got there at 6:30 and they shift leader said I didn't place an order. I showed him the receipt multiple times and he didn't believe me. He made it seem I made up a receipt for a $15 sandwich and soup. I've been wanting to try this place out when they first opened but never got a chance. Finally ate here today, and all I can say is fantastic. I got the ahi bowl and my husband got the bbq Tri tip sandwich. We both loved our meals, and they didn't disappoint. It's like an upgraded version of Panera. I also noticed they have curbside pickup.
