Dr. Lee is great!! I've been seeing her for a few years and I'm happy to see she's opened her own place. This location is great. It's next to lots of food vendors. She has state of the art equipment and a camera that can take pictures of the back of your eye. Her exams are very thorough and she makes sure she addresses all your needs. Wasted about $500 on this place. Had to pay a few hundred out of pocket for the frame itself. Lens was fine but they couldn't adjust the lens to fit my prescription. It was either too strong or too weak. They sold me on the power enhancement bs for laptop but it doesn't do anything. Just buy frame from them and nothing else. read more

My experience here was fabulous! The staff are amazing and friendly and knowledgeable. They seem happy to be at work and they treat their patients very well. I work in the 400 Fairview building and decided it was time to get a new pair of glasses, so I wandered into the open layout of Urban Optix. Both Lorenzo and Jazmine were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, helping me find an Oakley frame that I really liked. Dr. Lee was professional and super friendly. Quite possibly the worst customer service I've ever received, enough to compel me to write a yelp review. I had a decent experience with the doctor who did a standard eye exam and was helpful in explaining what she was looking for. 5 stars for the optometrist. Customer service was such that I won't be coming back. I admittedly, ran out of contacts earlier than expected. Considering the fact that both my wife and I recently paid for eye exams, my wife purchased contacts, and I was planning on purchasing glasses - I felt it a reasonable ask for the optometrist to give me testers to hold me over until my contacts arrived, a mere four days. I was met with snark, attitude and unprofessionalism. Rather than accommodate a request from what would have been a regular and repeat customer, the representative was frustrating and unwilling to arrive at a solution. The office staff is awesome. From the front desk to the doctor. Scheduling appointments is super easy and the location is great. You can get your eyes examined and then have several coffee / lunch options right in the same building! My only complaint is the part of the exam when you get the air puffed into your eye. I hate that :) I also purchased my first pair of glasses (ever) at this location. UO was super helpful and patient with me while I found the perfect pair to fit my face. read more

Haven't been to the eye docs in quite a number of years and decided to stop by here as it was close to Amazon land and I knew other people who have gone and been satisfied. They were right! Got to crack up with Rob during Retinal Photography, again with Dr. Lee during the exam, and finally with Anna going over lenses options and costs. As soon as I walked in, I was greeted by the attentive receptionist. Everyone was very welcoming and knowledgeable about lenses and frames. I want to give extra kudos to Cathy who assisted me with finding the perfect pair of glasses! I am extremely picky because I have a very sensitive template (headaches). Urban Optix had a variety of notable brands for all head sizes. Cathy answered all of my questions and share extra details with me with much enthusiasm! Amazing! I scheduled my appointment online which was very easy to do. Everyone here is so friendly and helpful. My exam with Dr. Lee was quick and easy, and she made me feel very comfortable as she is very easy to talk to. After the exam, Cathy recommended some glasses to me and I fell in love with the brand "141". She then brought out all the color options for the glasses I liked. I really appreciate having someone help pick out new glasses rather than just looking on my own. She already had my insurance information and explained all the costs to me very thoroughly. Urban Optix is such a hip lil spot- never thought I'd say that about an optometrist's office! Thanks to the friendly and knowledgeable staff for helping me pick out glasses, with such a tricky (broken) nose. I would have never selected the pair of glasses I went with on my own; they helped me to consider the weight of the frames and my face shape and tone. They're so cute, as if they were made custom. Dr. Lee is incredible- so accommodating and comforting, especially since I was nervous about my vision. Bonus: option to take photos of your eye, rather than those drops. Rude & impersonal workers did not want to schedule an appt. for me. I called back and spoke w a lady, who kept referring to me as ma'am. I asked her stop calling me ma'am, you have my name, refer to me by name. Get switched to another operator, after saying she has another patient on another line (a lie) another lady says I am being rude. And says to find another place. Then I get rude and say fuck you.... this place sucks for service a negative 10 for ratings if I could. read more

I've been going to Urban Optix since I moved to Seattle and I really like Dr. Lee and the whole team. No one is pushy about selling you anything, everyone on the team is very knowledgeable about their area of expertise, and everyone I've interacted with is surprisingly nice. I had one experience in particular that cemented my appreciation for UO. Last year I was having recurring reissues with a severely swollen and itchy eyelid. Not a good look. I was misdiagnosed with an eye infection by my primary care physician and given a round of antibiotics that did literally nothing. I made an appointment with Dr. Lee and she was able to diagnose that I was having a severe allergic reaction in my eye stemming from environmental allergens. She got me the right meds and helped me find a long term solution to keep my allergies under control. It has been quite the relief to not have to walk around all allergy season with a swollen eyelid that made me look super weird. read more
