    My new eyeglasses!

Today, I received my new glasses in the mail. Two weeks ago, while on vacation in Seattle (the 2nd best city on Earth, besides Paris), I passed by the shop, and saw some snazzy looking frames in the window. So, I went inside. The person with whom I spoke, Rebecca, listened to why I wanted new glasses, which (although I had a new prescription) was to "stand out" in a video call without looking like a clown. And, she immediately showed me excellent looking frames, which I loved and that fit as if they were bespoke made for me. Then, she showed me some more, and then some more. (Note to salespeople: when the customer is happy, make the sale.) I was convinced that I had a winner. However, I went home and did some internet shopping and stopped by Warby Parker, which is a few blocks away. My efforts were a waste of time. The frames that Rebecca initially showed me were (without a doubt!) the best frames for me and I could buy them from her for the best price, So, I went back to the store, and spent what I thought was an excessively long time discussing lenses. (No one had ever asked my opinion about lenses at VisionWorks or BJ's, where I had previously bought eyeglasses.) Then, Rebecca cut me a deal, b/c my insurance only covers glasses 1x/2 years, and I was on my way. I couldn't be more pleased with the result. That time choosing lenses was worth every nano-second. Compared to my previous eyeglasses, I can see like I have new eyes. When I first put them on, I was like one of those kids in a YouTube video who puts on eyeglasses for the first time. Wowza! I had no idea what I was missing! Eyeglasses: LA Eyeworks (Buckeye) frames, with Varilux lenses, Crizal anti-glare, and extra dark brown Transitions. Person who is awesome: Rebecca

My daughter glasses got broken during our vacation. Only place near us that offer one hour for new pair of glasses. Friendly staff.

Her whole demeanor was off putting. When I told her I use monthly contacts, she looked at me weird and said "I mean, if you want to keep doing monthly's with the bacteria buildup by all means" like dang my bad I've only ever used monthly's. The staff was nice tho. Overall, I will not be coming back and I highly recommend you don't either!! There are much better eyes doctors in cap hill that will actually treat you professionally and make you feel welcomed.

Not friendly, huge ego, can't take criticism. If you want the most expensive eye doctor in town…read morethis is the place. (Also rejects nearly every insurance especially those most likely to be held by the disabled or elderly and their dependents) My ears are still ringing from the anti-disability dog whistles. (It's called income source discrimination and it's a real thing companies do to make disabled individuals feel unwelcome without obviously breaking anti-discrimination laws) They get so annoyed and dodgy about insurance questions that I get the impression they wouldn't accept any insurance at all if it would guarantee they'd keep the poors out. Brett likes to claim he doesn't accept some insurance because of "the evil luxoticca monopoly". However, he doesn't accept VSP attached to children's Medicaid plans, so that's a dishonest excuse used to bury/obscure the dog whistle. Furthermore, they can't take criticism AT ALL. A quick glance at the combative responses from the owner to negative reviews on google can confirm this to anyone paying attention (but there's not many negative reviews there because including mine he somehow masks/suppresses them) I suggest Vision Plus of Ballard that accepts VSP associated with both Medicare Advantage plans for the disabled and Medicaid for the dependents of the disabled.

Well, this is a first for me. Did I come on to Yelp just to share my incredible experience with…read morethis practice? Sure did. When I moved to Seattle, a friend recommended another large opthalmology practice. Scheduling required weeks of advance planning; in-person waits were long; while my doctor was lovely, the contact lens fitters constantly rotated into the practice and so there was feeling of never getting to know someone. It was... fine, I guess? When this same office moved to requiring separate days for the contact lens fitting and the annual check-up, it was the catalyst I needed to search for an alternative. Two friends happen to see Dr. Lo at Eye Clinics QA. I seamlessly transferred my records and easily made an appointment. The first time I visited the clinic, my exams went quickly and smoothly. Dr. Lo listened to my very nuanced concerns, had me try out a newly-tweaked prescription, and it made all the difference in the world. My second annual appointment with him this year was no different (only it was moved to the Ballard location, as this one is still being renovated!) I cannot recommend this office, this doctor, and this experience enough. My only regret is not finding them sooner. Thank you Dr. Lo and team!

Staff showed me relevant frame options (narrow, low bridge) and I tried on several pairs quickly. Walked out with a new pair, paid with FSA, within 15 minutes of walking in. Beyond impressed with visit 1. Uploaded my prescription online, which was reviewed and processed by Warby within a day. This location does not offer eye exams, but Bellevue Square and Lynnwood do. Frames arrived extremely quickly - shipped within 4 business days! Packaging & unboxing experience was excellent. Stopped in today to get frames adjusted, which took less than 5 minutes - excellent 2nd visit. This honestly blew away my expectations as a first-time Warby customer (was scared of the lines/waiting experience at the University Village location) - kudos to the Cap Hill team for crushing it!
