Amazing Service Experience Yesterday, the screw holding one…read moreof my eyeglasses arms on fell out. Obviously, I can't wear the glasses without the screw in the arm. I tried several repair kits, but none of them had the right-sized screw. I thought perhaps there would be an eyeglass store in Woodinville that might be able to help me. Fortunately, I picked The Optik. I sent an email as well as a text to The Optik. Approximately 20 minutes later, I got an email back from an associate named Lilly. Her email was very pleasant and inviting, so I drove over. A sign on the door indicated that they were short of staff and there might be a wait, but I didn't have to. Lilly was sitting right at the desk. She recognized me as I walked in. She took my glasses and said Please sit down and make yourself comfortable. I'll be right back. Who does this nowadays? In about 10 minutes, she was back out and said that she wasn't able to find the exact screw, but she did find a screw that she cut and used to repair glasses. Remember this: I had no appointment. I had not purchased my glasses there, and she didn't know me from Jack. I haven't had better service from anyone in the past few years than I received from her. Thank you to Lilly, and thank you to the owners at The Optik, who hire the right people with the right attitude and training. If you need new glasses or a minor repair, like I did, I highly recommend that you go to The Optik.

Check in was easy and fast and inside is updated and clean. Plenty of parking. You will do usual eye check in stuff like measuring eye pressure and vision check. The only difference I had with this place was they didn't do dilation. At the end of appointment, they told me that retinal imaging isn't covered and i have to pay out of pocket after exam was finished. It would've been nice to let patients know ahead of time to choose either dilation which is covered under insurance vs retinal imaging for convenience but not covered by insurance. Ended up paying for $40 dollars for the scan and checked out in an hour. Overall staffs were friendly, but the experience left bitter taste in my mouth.

We left the store with hesitation on whether we should buy it or not. I told my spouse that we should just get it. So we came back, the store was pretty busy and we waited patiently for the employee to come back to help us. While waiting my spouse was checking out the glasses again and in the middle of the crowd, the said employee felt the need to come over to scold at us as if we are small children, telling him to change the "settings back to what it was before" because the glasses was not supposed to talk out loud, it's supposed to do it within the glasses only. We told him that we didn't change the setting and that's how it was. He walked away, huffing and puffing, and was like "Well I'm gonna have to call IT." Uh okay, so we just left and will be buying elsewhere. How awkward. He might know the product but his customer service was not all that great. Will not be coming back.

I recently went back and had another fantastic experience with Chris and Julie. Julie was amazingly patient and knowledgeable, spending quite some time helping me try on frames and recommending great options. Chris walked me through all my lens options and easily accommodated my request to put new lenses into an existing frame. He replaced the nose pads, tightened the frame, and explained everything clearly with zero sales pressure. Fluent English, phenomenal service, and true expertise. My husband and I have purchased glasses here multiple times and would never go anywhere. When I used to purchase/order glasses from other known opticals, they don't always make it correct and you have to wait weeks. Here, as long as its simple single vision lens, he makes it for you in one hour. There are decent number of selections for glasses and sunglasses as well and the prices are very reasonable. I was an optician for years. i was TAUGHT to spend as little time as possible with the people that come in on welfare or use Apple insurance, in other words , where the state pays for their glasses. When i dispensed my first pair of " WELFARE GLASSES" - I did it just as you would with ANY OTHER PATIENT. say hi, greet them with a smile , have them sit at the dispensing table, ask their name and get their glasses. have the patient put them on, and then fit them. so they stay up on their face. so they are comfortable. i always try to make sure my patients had fun. I MADE THE EXPERIENCE FUN. AS much fun as getting glasses can be. i did it with a smile. i adjusted them so they fit comfortable and gave him a case and a cleaning cloth. when I was done with my first "welfare patient" , my boss pulled me aside and explainexd to me not to spend any extra time with THOSE KINDS OF PEOPLE. just give them the glasses. when I asked why he said- "because we don't make any money off THOSE PEOPLE, so don't spend any extra time on them." yep. AND I heard this more than once in my 20 years as an optician! thankfully not all places act like this. TODD place DOES. he is listed as the owner. he doesn't have to treat people this way . he chooses too. it's not a LAW or even a POLICY that you cant be nice to EVERYONE. no one says you HAVE TO BE RUDE to welfare patients. that wasn't part of my testing to become an optician. (I won't even…read moresee his partner) I have absolute trust and confidence in Dr. Nguyen, as he's the only eye doctor I've ever had that doesn't overcorrect my vision! Everyone in the office is friendly, nice and patient, and really welcoming! I had a bit of an issue with the new Retina camera (I have sensory issues) as it emits a very high pitched noise (think camera flash charging, but the sound never stops and it's really loud) and they were sooo gracious and patient with me. Incredibly understanding! They let me husband in with some earplugs for me, and I was good to go! They had no issues with understanding this and letting him bring them in for me. I'm also a contact lens wearer, and have gotten many fittings here, and just ordered my first boxes of contacts from them last year as well, and it was great! I got my first pair of glasses done by them last year, and omg I'm in LOVE with them. As a previous patient of Costco, you couldn't pay me to go back there, or anywhere else (they've messed up my glasses so bad, they're unwearable, so I wasted a lot of money) With Comfort Vision, you get what you pay for, and that a very high quality care of your eyes and eye health!
