I wear contacts and this office does a great job of getting trials set up and they have a fun selection of glasses too. They check your eye health and keep you in the know for any problems. Then I sent a text after hours and actually received a response (an auto-response), which told me that I reached them after hours. I never received a prescription to place an order and had to request this. By 7/1, I finally received a call about placing an order. I still did not have my prescription. The woman sent me a link to place the order, which wasn't helpful at all, as she had indicated I would be able to pay with my CareCredit card. Not only was the link wonky, it did not allow me to order. I tried calling the office and it went to voicemail. Then I got a text saying "sorry we missed you. Please send a text as we will see this sooner." Clearly not true. After another text to them, saying how frustrating this experience had been, I was given the same link and told basically the same nonsense. I then asked for my prescription. Then I received a phone call right before I was heading to an appointment (I have wasted days and several hours with no success to order my contacts) and the same person who sent the first link asked if I was able to order my contacts. I told her that I didn't have time at this point. So today, I tried again and kept getting an error. This has been the most inefficient process and unacceptable experience I have ever had to simply order contacts. It should have never taken this long. What a joke.

Lee was so nice! I barely got there in time to pick up my glasses and he even waited for me to pick out some sunnies too! Thanks!

KEEP LOOKING... I cannot recommend this place…read more The exams were good until we decided to order glasses. I asked for progressive bifocals with anti-reflective, and transitions lenses. The same type of lenses I have gotten for the past ~20 years. When receiving my glasses from Valerie I mentioned that they have a grayish yellow tint. I'm not a fan of this coloration on the lens as they create a raccoon eye affect. Additionally, I happened to drop the glasses on the floor (from waist height) and one of the lenses popped out. Seems like workmanship might have been an issue. She says she asked for the lab to redo the lens to correct the tint while reinserting the lens. Yet, when the glasses were returned, they still had the coloration added. I don't believe they changed the lens at all. And this is where I have a problem with customer service. When I pointed out that the problem persists I was dismissed and made to feel as if I created the issue and it is not their problem. I asked Valerie if she could just check with the lab and ask for their help in determining the problem. Her response was to yell at me that they have already sent the glasses back once and there is nothing else they can do. Now that I have used my insurance allowance with them I cannot order new lenses with another shop unless I pay out of pocket. Very disappointing. Two other areas of concern: 1. You need a separate appointment from your exam, in order to shop for glasses. The technician (Valerie) needs to unlock each pair of glasses from the case before you can try them on. 2. The parking situation in Chelsea village can be described as "difficult" at best. Paid parking requires that you sign up with personal information that is kept on file. All of this makes the entire experience less than desirable for a repeat. I cannot recommend this place.

He decided to stop accepting new patients 2 weeks prior to my appt. I called to ask if they would honor the appt given it's long standing and was told "no." I asked them to check with Dr. McManus given the length of time the appt had been on the books. They said he had specifically told them to cancel all appts (she emphasized all). She (Megan) seemed certain he wouldn't consider it and wasn't willing to approach him about this. Bottom Line - don't expect this clinic to honor those things they've committed to. In my business, I encourage employees to come to me with these types of concerns and would never have turned down someone in this situation.

Lots of people liked Dr. McManus, so I made an appointment and had an exam. Holy hand grenade, Batman--it was outstanding. State-of-the-art/new equipment, used artfully by a master of his craft. He explained the state of my eyes in detail I'd never heard before. His staff was well-trained and pretty fabulous too. Dr. McManus' services cost a little more than the optometrists at the back of the chain store--and are worth double every penny.

WASHINGTON PACIFIC EYE ASSOCIATES @ KIRKLAND…read more Parking here can be a little difficult since it's mostly street parking. Just make sure you find a spot that allows two-hour parking rather than 30 minutes. I'd recommend parking on the left side near Jimmy John's or the Overlake Clinic, there's a good amount of street parking on both sides of the road in that area. I came in around 10 AM and the staff were extremely friendly. They asked about my day and how my morning was, which I really appreciated. I signed a couple of papers to get started and provided my insurance information, my mom is also on the insurance, so it was really nice that they already had a primary provider on file. I was quickly taken into a room and completed a few exams. I also received a free wellness exam since my mom is a current member, which was a huge plus. One thing I really liked about this place is that they don't do the air puff test that most eye doctors use. Usually there's a blue light you stare at and a puff of air that can irritate your eyes, so I was preparing myself for that. I was really happy they didn't do that here. Everything felt very subtle, comfortable, and smooth throughout the exam. The doctor was very kind and thorough. I did end up needing glasses, especially for long-distance driving, and the whole process of getting that figured out was quick and easy. I was able to choose my frames right after, and it was a very seamless experience. My total came out to around $100, and my insurance covered a large portion of it. My glasses should be ready within the next two weeks. Overall, I really loved this place. The staff are incredibly friendly, the process was easy, and the care was great. I would definitely recommend stopping by and I would absolutely come back again.

We have been visiting him for quite some time and we feel very comfortable on his diagnosis. Staff members at the optic are very kind, friendly, and helpful when choosing glasses. That's is very needed because you're going to weat the glasses at all times. So better be something that suit you, you like, and fit. They even helped me with billing! The Receptionist has been changing a couple of times, but they are very nice. The only thing is that some nurses (because they changed) were rude (young one a couple of years ago), or very slow (last year). She even asked me to dictate all her report 5 times! We were very late for the appointment. It took 45 minutes because she was late with someone else beforehand. I also would suggest not performing some tests on little toddlers because they hardly follow instructions stay in one place. Dr can easily take a look to their eyes and diagnose. He's been pretty good by doing it directly. I guess at the end trying can't hurt though. I've always found parking. Almost all nearby spots are taken. Therest are compact.
