this is my boyfriends all time favorite brewery. we have tried almost every beer and are always impressed. We love to come here for a quick stop or for a night out! they also have thc drinks available that are sooo good. We enjoyed playing games they offer during our visit! It seems they have events and karaoke, although we have not attended those yet

I've been a long time fan of tart fruit beers and we finally had an opportunity to visit this taproom. It's located in the basement of an old church, and has a brightly painted wall near the entrance. Inside is mostly wood with old confessionals in the corner. The women's bathroom had a ton of stalls and was stocked, which I always appreciate. When you first walk in there is a "store" area to the right with beer to take and merchandise. The bar is towards the back and has a wall with 12-15 on tap beers. I ended up ordering two flights of beer since I wanted to try everything. I lean towards a very tart and crisp beer. My all time OG favorite is the Spyglass, which is a lemon and lime golden sour ale. It wasn't on tap but available for purchase in a mixed pack. I tried a bunch Peer, Kilobyte, Gadget, Fire Iron, Bushel, Teak, Pickle, Dyne and more. Loved them all, some more than others. I can't wait to go back to load up. If you're a fan or tart fruit beers, or not, it's definitely worth a trip to check it out.

You want to experience the best beer in Cincinnati? You've found the place! Friendly staff. Great ambiance. Eclectic vibe. Always something new to try.

Really cool spot! We are not huge sour fans, but they had some really interesting ones! Ask for the tour of the music venue and the wedding space. Too cool! Emily was awesome! Also dog friendly for now!

Loved this brewery just a bit outside of the city. The bartender was so friendly and helpful when finding a beer we liked. I love sours, which is what they specialize in. My husband doesn't like them as much, but still found a beer he really enjoyed. It's in an old church which is really cool. Highly Recommend!!

Thank god places like this exist! Converted church into brewery? Yes please! And here I thought I would never go to church again lol. Beers are tart which is not my thing but they do sell other bottle beers for people like me. I was here for an women's day event selling my macrame art and it went so well! Vendors and visitors all had smiles on their faces. Maybe it's cuz we can day drink?! My favorite part is the smell of the church especially when they have a bonfire going in the back yard and the smell comes into the inside. Heaven! And I never thought I get there ;) Plenty of street parking but can fill up quickly so go early if you can.

Ginger bread tart .,, with Pata Roja tacos! They don't miss

Date night requires a beer every unit and again. And it doesn't hurt that Pata Roja has made this their new location. It's a win win. Plenty of space and plenty of beer. This is a girls night, date night or a grab a beer Togo kinda evening.

Enjoying the Kaleidoscope from Urban Artifact!

Always like issuing five star reviews to breweries that generate wonderful craft beer drinking experiences. I would have love to have tried more than one beer with Urban Artifact but opportunity allowed one. And the choice made in the one was a good one! We got the Kaleidoscope beer which has Pineapple and guava features to it. It also had an herbal aspect to it and I do so love herbal beers and feel like I don't get them enough. Kaleidoscope was a good beer to relax with and if the opportunity ever does present itself again I'd love to try more of their other beers!

I met my cousin for a beer so we can catch up and decided to try a new brewery. The outside is beautiful. It's an old church and the windows are magnificent. The inside was nothing exciting very dark but they were set up for social distancing. As far as the beer I had to try the pickle beer and I know have a new favorite. It's refreshing with the taste of cucumber and dill. The outside has a great sitting area which now will seat up to eight a table. Glad I tried something new and found a fantastic beer

This place has the best and only sour beers in town! If you like sour beers this is the place to go. Not only for the unique atmosphere of being in an old church but for the most variety of sour beers. The staff is patient and helpful. Will make sure to return

I was meeting a big group of friends at UA for a reunion. We parked a block away on the street because I didn't know the parking situation, it ended up being fine. I knew it was in an old renovated church, but I didn't realize how big or beautiful this building would be! The patio off to the side was an added benefit to be able to sit outside at picnic tables. There weren't any servers outside, so you got your drinks directly from the bar. They had merch inside and plenty of sour drink choices. They do not have food, and I don't know their policy of bringing outside food. I am giving 3/5 stars because they are famous for sour beers, and they only have tart and sour beers/seltzers available, which is good for the niche of people who like sours. I am not one of those people. I asked the bartender for suggestions, tried a few, and was unsuccessful. I decided on mixing two beers together to try to bet a more Pale Ale or IPA flavor, it was drinkable, but the bartender was not patient or very happy that I decided to go to a sour beer bar and don't like sour beers.

Ask the Community - Urban Artifact

Are dogs allowed?

Dogs are allowed in the outdoor area, but not inside.

Heading here tomorrow. Can anyone tell me if it is child friendly? I know they're "allowed" there but...Like, will I be scoffed at by employees if I bring kids and is there space for a stroller? Around 2 pm- not at night

Yes it is family friendly. Not only are children allowed in the tap room but there a wall with family games!

Is the taproom handicap accessible?

I've seen people in wheelchairs in the taproom, so yes!

Stopped in recently for dinner after a Bengals game and had a great time. If you're leaving the…read morestadium area it's a 20 minute walk with some uphill, but well worth the trek to get ahead of the crowds. The bars near the stadium were mobbed. The seating is family style with long tables. You can order via QR codes (meh) or walk up to the side of the bar for food and drink. The manager came around and introduced himself to everyone and was all over the place. Helping in the kitchen, bar, cleaning up etc.. He's definitely an asset because he didn't disappear as the rush started coming in. The inside is nicely decorated and I was digging their Voodoo/skull theme. We settled in and watched the 4pm NFL game on one of the large TV's while chatting with some disappointed Bengals fans and locals. Beer wise they had a nice selection of classic Voodoo brews (we used to get them a lot in the Philly area several years ago), a balance of styles and some newer brews I'd never heard of. If you enjoy the dark side of beer the Where Our Secrets Go Imperial Stout was delicious and thankfully more along the lines of the traditional style Impy Stout. I had an IPA that I can't remember the name of, but it had a nice Belgian yeast/hop twist to it. My son enjoyed their root beer. Food wise the Jumbo Chicken Wings, roasted in house hit the spot, I highly recommend them. I added their Good Vibes BBQ "Sawce", but you can get them dry rubbed or chose from several other "Sawces". The wings were big with fresh meat and the sauce was great. The Pub pretzel we ordered was huge and the good vibes beer cheese complimented it well. The Mr. Pickles Fried Pickles were also a great choice for an app. They were a big portion. My friend had the Chili Mac and my son ordered the Lil Mashburgers - 2 little smashburgers oozing with cheddar & chippies off the kids menu. We ate, had a couple of beers and enjoyed our dinner at Voodoo before we explored more of downtown Cincy. I'll be honest I wanted to avoid BrewDog and Voodoo and experience home grown Cincinnati breweries, but we were really happy we stopped at Voodoo. Thanks guys you earned a fourth star for great friendly service from the manager and bartenders!!

We ordered extra hot wings, and the sauce was great but to make it "extra hot" they just added a metric ton of hot pepper or some hot seasoning, and it was nearly inedible. They were extremely over sauced. The fries were okay. My dry rub wings were good. It's basically self serve, you order on the website via QR code. They brought our food all at once due to that, to include the appetizer. Service was quick but we only saw our "waiter" once to deliver our food. If we had needed refills, we wouldn't have gotten them. We didn't even get silverware and only got one appetizer plate. The ambiance was nice, it's a great looking facility. I probably won't be back though, unfortunately. Just not great enough to bother going again. We did have one beer off the draft list that was good. The dragons milk.

To start this place is a "sit down" but you have to order at the bar and they bring it to you. We were a tad thrown off with that since they literally had waiters and people roaming around, didn't make sense to me. But that was just the start! We decided to order nachos and a pretzel to start the meal. The pretzel was disgusting, hard and lacking flavor and the $14 nachos was a side plate with a small portion of nachos on it. I asked the server what was with the size of the nachos and he said he though they were normal. They aren't, you go to a normal bar and for $14 comes out a platter with nachos that are loaded. Then our mains came out, my wife's salad was gross, lacking flavor and with dry chicken and my burger was decent. For $90 this meal should have been WAYYY better. We left feeling very disappointed and will definitely not be coming back.

The layout was pretty typical for them albeit on a smaller scale than their locations in Las Vegas and Columbus. Several bar areas, a gaming mezzanine, couches, art on the walls and a roof deck (wasn't open when we visited). The large L shaped bar was clean and manned by a nice fellow. We headed up to the mezzanine and played some games while watching the 4pm game on their big screens. Food wise - we didn't eat here, but I can tell you from past BrewDog experiences their wings are always on point. Beer wise - They had a good mix on their 24 or so taps - IPA/Pale Ales (8 on tap), ciders (4), stouts & dark beers (3), lagers & pilsner (2), sour & fruit-based (2) and five beers for a community beer festival that was running that weekend. $1 of every pint poured went to charity. I had a Winter Staycation at 7.5% - our seasonal stout that brings rich pecan and sweet toffee flavors right to your glass. Every sip is a warming blend of nostalgia and bold flavors, crafted to remind you of the comforts of the season. If you loved last year's cozy winter release, this one's sure to feel right at home. It was average with sweet pecan flavors, caramel, vanilla, toffee and tasted malts. Drank like a porter. It was OK which is what most of their beers are. Just above average in my humble opinion. From my experiences between BrewDog and Voodoo, it seems the outsiders are better options than the local breweries (except Northern Row they were good) in Cincinnati. Can't go wrong with visiting this BrewDog. Thanks guys!

We got our beers from a friendly bartender, sat, and took our time scrolling through the menu. Our food came together, which was strange as we expected the wing appetizer to come first. The pizza was awesome! The cheese blend reminds me a lot of costcos. The wings were just okay. Maybe I am not a buffalo person, but overall they did not have much flavor. We had hoped for food, but the business that does food in the building is another company and they were out for spring break. So sad. ;-) The brewery has a nice vibe to it. There are plugs here if you work remote, although I would NEVER do that. :P The beers are not the best I had in Cincy, but they are above the average in Cincy, so it is definitely above average. It is also a well-known, stable brewery. I understand Listermann recently sold the spot, so it will be interesting to see if there are changes going forward. The board is a bit heavy at this point, with quite a few brews over 10%. My feelings on the beers? The IPAs are decent, but they shine brightly with their stouts and pastry sours. The blackberry cobbler sour (12%) and Forbidden Imperial Stout got my top marks. Would love to return and see how the food is here, but spring break worked against me.
