Rates vary based on day of the week, and if the party renting lives within the township/ Three Rivers area. Grounds are well maintained. Behind the building is a small playground. This is a great added bonus if throwing a party where children are to be in attendance. From the balcony the playground is visible. Many trees have been planted so that the playground is not the main focus of the view. Various public events are held here throughout the year. In August, two outdoor concerts are held. The staff of Nathanael Greene Lodge went out of their way to make my wedding reception perfect!…read more They let me do all of my unique ideas, which included, removing their artwork to hang family members' paintings instead in the lobby and behind the cake, and refrigerating and setting up all 14 of our tables' center piece cakes and 18 types of cookies for our cookie table. Not only were they fine with letting us do cakes as centerpieces, Cheryl had the amazing idea for us to assign table captains to cut their table's cake. We loved this idea and turned it into a fun little ice breaker game for the guests to find out who would be the table captain. I especially appreciate that there was always someone to help answer my questions in a timely manner. I live out-of-town which made the emails and phone calls extra important to me. Cheryl always took extensive notes and she never missed a single detail! Whenever we met her in person, she never rushed us and was completely attentive as we tried decorating ideas and got just as excited about them as me. You can tell that Cheryl absolutely loves her job! She treated my wedding as if it was her own daughter's wedding. Cheryl and her staff did an amazing job at setting up all the cake stands, candles, photos, slide show, time capsule, rented pub tables, and simply added touches that made everything come together beautifully. I used to get stuck decorating for all of my friends' weddings and I found it amazing that i didn't have to do a thing to decorate at Nathanael Greene. They took care of everything! If you are looking for a reception venue close to down town Cincinnati, or several of the West Side churches, Nathanael Greene is a no-brainer! The food is excellent and they offer many different options. My issue has been with communication with the representatives and a missing dress. When we booked the venue we were told that we (bride's family) would receive the leftover food which we did not receive. It's very difficult when you know for a fact that there was a decent amount left. I had paid extra money to have all of our things packed up and loaded into my car. So I had hoped that the food was packed and loaded in my car, which it wasn't. Then I had left a dress there and called the venue the next day and was told it was found and would be sent to me. It's been 6 weeks and have never received the dress. When I emailed them I was "informed" that it was sent. I contacted them about 1-2 weeks later asking yet again, and was told it was sent and there's nothing they can do about it. Sadly, with what has transpired between the contact person, I am having a hard time believing that something being mailed from Cincinnati to Northern Kentucky would not have reached me a long time ago, even if it got returned to sender, at least they would have let me know. And lastly, I was contacted two days after the event and was told they "forgot" to add a tax onto my final bill which I had paid in full prior to the wedding. They proceeded to tell me since the food being boxed and sent home with me was not written in the contract, that it was basically my fault. I hated doing it, but I said since the tax wasn't written down, that I shouldn't have to pay that. I had gotten so aggravated and to this day, 6 weeks after the wedding, I still haven't received my dress, and plan on never getting it. I didn't complain when we ran out of appetizers for 200 people, especially since I didn't see many of the staff walking around with them. The bride and groom only got 2 of each appetizers and that was it. You would think with 600 "pieces" that there would be enough for people. Everyday up to the wedding was perfect, but with what has occurred since then has left me feeling aggravated.
