I was in Oxnard on business...well, basically I was there unplanned overnight, stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn, and took a walk down to the 7-11 for snacks, while waking around the block, I noticed Uptown Pizza and picked up a menu. I ordered after getting back to the hotel. A VERY short time later (they are right down the street, so...yeah) MARTIN, the best pizza delivery driver ever, shows up at my hotel room door with a pizza that tastes like it was made by God himself. This is the best pizza in Ventura County. I found this place 2 years ago and it has been my go to pizza place since. It's hidden in the Oxnard Outlet Center. They do NOT skimp on the toppings and always use fresh and delicious ingredients. They have a variety of pizza choices on their menu. Fresh! We stopped in when we were shopping in the area and I have never had pizza that good and so fresh. The ingredients are cut when you order and the crust is hot and just made good! They put Rount Table to shame and all other big name pizza seems like cardboard after this. We found UpTown Pizza after a couple HORRIBLE with Papa Johns in Oxnard! A let me tell you it was a blessing in disguise! This place is AMAZING! I don't know how good the pizza is. The service is awful! I called to inquire about ingredients, due to food allergies, and the person I spoke to refused to answer my simple questions. I only had two questions. the individual I spoke to claims to make the pizza, so he has to know what ingredients are in the pizza, but he didn't want to talk to me about it. read more

Literally just left. Got a med cheese, mushroom, an onion. Side order of cheesy garlic bread. This is some good pizza. I ate some of the garlic cheese bread on the drive back to my hotel. Our family absolutely LOVES pizza so with that said we like to try out different local pizza places! This one was extremely delicious and did not disappoint at all!! It was delivered in a very timely manner, it was hot and we ordered an xtra large pepperoni and it was HUGE! And the price was great for the size!!! Found this place on Yelp while staying in town. I thought that it was a sit down type pizza place, but was surprised when we walked in and it was a counter and 4 or 5 tables. We almost walked out but it smelled good inside, so we shrugged our shoulder and said what the heck, We ordered the roasted garlic and chicken pizza based on the recommendations. This pizza was awesome. I don't need to eat 3/4 of a 12" pizza and I did! The ice machine in the soda fountain wasn't working and the CO2 needed to be turned up. Like I said this place is tiny and sterile which is the reason I gave it only 3 stars, but the pizza is great. My suggestion order the pizza for take out and you'll give it 4 or 5 stars. read more

This is the best pizza I've tried in CA and being from NY, I'm pretty picky about my pizza. I ordered the garlic chicken one as a thing crust and it had sesame seeds on the crust and I think that was a great twist! I also had the wings, they saved pretty good for a delivery( which is pretty cool cause wings usually get soggy) and I had their garlic bread sticks which were alright that's the only reason Im giving them 4 cause a 4.5 isn't an option. I really enjoyed their food, it was worth it. I wasn't even mad spilling their marinara sauce on my white carpet cause that's how good it was. Ps if you like the sweeter marinara this is your place. Pizza is fine. I don't find it anything to write home about however, in light of the other reviews. And I don't get the sesame crust. I'm from the east coast .... not really sure what sesame seeds are doing on a crust. But I digress. Service was friendly. Pizza tasted fresh. I love that they have so many different types of pizza to choose from. I just had a combo pizza and garlic roasted chicken. I have never really had sesame seeds on the pizza crust before but I do like it. Their pizzas are well made and not a bad price either. The medium is 12" so there is plenty to go around. read more

This has got to be 1 of my favorite places to grab a pizza. It's sad that I don't work down the street anymore or else my tastebuds would be delighted more often. After not having been here in over a year I was so happy my husband had to come to Oxnard so I was more than happy to join him & took him here for his 1st time. He got the artichoke special & loved it. I always get the spinach & feta, which per usual did not disappoint. Everybody I have introduced to this pizza has thanked me. Wife and I needed to feed 3 little kids the other night, and instead of Toppers at the Harbor, really wanted to get a pie and take it home. Uptown is close to us and still open on a Sunday night. Got a delicious 1/2 Greek Feta and Artichoke and 1/2 pepperoni for the kids. All enjoyed it. A great pie. As everyone says, the value for tha quality of the pie you get is outstanding. One of the best pizza places in town! Excellent costumer service and great pizza. Try the chicken garlic pizza, It's delicious. If you are looking for a great pizza joint, this is it! This used to be our favorite pizza place bar none. Great variety of pies to choose from, and loved the sesame seed crust. Their gluten free options were tasty as well. But over the past year or so, their pizzas arrive consistently under cooked, with a doughey smell, soft damp crust on the bottom, but blackened edges on the top. Last few times we decided to order from Uptown, we started the oven right after we called so we could finish baking the pizza when it arrived. And uptown wasn't cheap, so the fact that we had to take this extra step was extra irritating. read more

Ordered thin and crispy and better description is thin and greasy. Pizza grease soaked through bottom of box and I even tried to remove all the grease from the top of the pizza but still grease soaked. Three most of it away. Try someplace else! read more

I was born and raised in Oxnard and I've tried a lot of pizza spots that have come and gone since the eighties. Especially pizza! From Double Deal and American Pizza to mainstream pizza like Domino's and Pizza Hut to the new classics like local favorites Topper's, Ameci's and this place... Uptown! With people always talking about the best pizza in Oxnard, it all boils down to preference. I am NOT a fan of veggie pizzas because they just sound way too boring. Believe it or not, this is one of the best specialty pizzas Uptown has to offer. The garlic herb sauce is super tasty. It's not too overwhelming and has a lot flavor. The marinara is ok and it's really nothing to brag about but the toppings are fresh and they are one of the few pizzerias that serve artichokes on pizza. Where they really catch your taste buds is the twisted sesame crust. I'm not a fan of crust either but this is probably the best tasting crust I've had. Order your favorite pizza with this dough and you won't regret it. I don't really get appetizers from pizza spots except wings and bread. The wings and garlic bread are just about as good as any other pizza place. So, if you're looking for good pizza with fresh ingredients and an amazing crust, look no further. Uptown's got you! I go there often but I'll definitely be back to try a calzone and a sandwich. Favorites: Veggie Delight, Artichoke Special, Bacon Deluxe, Mediterranean Delight...
