The owner, Alex, is a nice dude, but a poor communicator. My laptop was having crashes, and I…read moredropped it off in early June for troubleshooting/diagnosis. I called after several weeks and he promised he'd have the problem diagnosed within the next couple days and call me back. Several additional weeks went by and I called again with the same response, and then once more a few weeks later- a total of 2 months of wait time without any progress or evidence that anything was done at all. I eventually gave up and got my laptop back myself to look at. Googling my error messages indicated that my RAM was faulty, and after replacing the RAM (a 15-minute procedure), my laptop works fine. It took me ~30 minutes of total active time to troubleshoot and solve this problem that I had previously waited 2 months for the owner to fix. I'd guess that Alex was overcommitted with fixing other machines to focus on mine, which is fine if he told me a realistic estimate (i.e. "I'm really busy right now, but check back in a month and I'll give you an update). Instead I got drip-fed inaccurate timeline estimates. Overall, I find it difficult to reccomend going to this business to get your problem fixed unless you have a really easy software issue to diagnose/fix on the spot.

I don't know if that's the case, but it kind of feels that way. A lot of stuff here are brands I've never heard of, but you can find brand name stuff here (Apple, Belkin, Targus, JBL, etc). We came here to buy an external hard drive after the current one decided to die. When we asked an employee (I think his name was Hector), about whether or not the particular hard drive we were looking at would be right for its intended use, he was able to answer our questions. When we checked out, the cashier asked us a bunch of questions about what we were buying and if we had any questions. We asked her about protecting devices from static electricity, and she didn't have a clue about anything beyond scanning purchases and pushing the extended warranty plans. If you have questions about items here, just ask one of the employees...not a cashier. Overall, this is a nice clean store. Don't expect to find everything you're looking for. But if you need basic accessories and gaming stuff, this place has all of that.

Unfortunately I was surprised at the cost of the repair. Apparently none of the parts that needed replacing were covered by the warranty. I wanted to chat with someone on staff to understand what happened, but the site seems broken and I was not able to contact anyone using it.

The prices are also super reasonable, so if you need something fixed, just go! It will probably cost less than you think, and save you a lot of stress from your phone/tech not working. I first went 4+ years ago because I broke my headphone jack off in my phone. It was an easy fix for them and I felt silly for waiting so long to come in. My boyfriend has taken his different phones in for various issues, usually screen-related: cracked, non-responsive, distorted, etc. They've always been able to repair/replace it quickly. Overall, I trust the quality of their work, the prices are reasonable, and they're very kind. I highly recommend them!

I was initially very pleased with the quick turnaround and friendly service when I had my iPhone…read morescreen replaced. They were pleasant and professional and we exchanged a bit of humor over the phone and in person. Unfortunately, just two weeks later, a noticeable black blob appeared on the new screen near the Dynamic Island. This looks like OLED screen bleed or a defect. The phone has remained in a case with a screen protector the entire time and has not been dropped, bumped, or otherwise mishandled. Given the timing (only 2 weeks after installation) and the specific location of the spot, this issue is almost certainly the result of either a defective replacement screen or a problem during installation (such as trapped dust, adhesive, or pressure damage). It is not consistent with normal use or accidental damage. I offered to bring the phone in so they could inspect it in person, but they declined and immediately dismissed the warranty claim without examination. While I understand repairs aren't perfect, I'm disappointed they are unwilling to stand behind their work and honor the warranty on what is clearly a post-repair defect. I went from a satisfied customer who would have returned and recommended them to someone who can no longer do so. Potential customers should be aware that warranty support may not be reliable here. EDIT: Contrary to the response below the phone was never physically inspected. Rather, the response was based on a set of photos sent showing the issue which, alone, would be virtually impossible to come to a conclusion of physical damage versus defective product. As a customer, you are in a no win situation here as no matter what happens they are going to blame you and not the manufacturer or installation for the problem.

"Hi, You'll have to drop it off so we can inspect it further. We charge $20 upfront for the inspection and will need it for a few days. Thanks." I brought my speaker to his shop and paid $20 to inspect. Still not knowing if he could fix or not. Inspection took two weeks and two days, Then I get a call from Anthony and he said he could fix the problem also my other control knob was also on the verge of breaking and he would fix that too. The estimate is between $180 and $200. I gave him the go ahead and my speaker was repaired within two days. I asked him if I could pick up the speaker within four days Saturday because I lived way on the south side and he said that was fine. When I picked up the speaker we tested it there to make sure it was working properly. Not only was it working properly and both control knobs were fixed but he added the knobs that were missing that caused the problem in the first place. My total charge including inspection $200. I 100% recommend Athonys Electronics, Friendly service, reasonable price, honest. I did not mind the inspection wait time it just shows that he does not rush jobs and wants to do it right. the picture on the right shows what the speaker knob looked like before I took it in.
