You walk in and the stage is on the left, bar in the right, and pizza straight ahead. Order your drinks at the bar and pizza at the window and just relax, pay separately. I'm A pizza snob and I can say this is legit comfort pizza. It's a tavern style, thin crust and cut in squares, and it's really good pizza. I ordered the meat pizza and the toppings were legit. Piles of bacon, pepperoni, sausage and bacon. Crust was crispy and the sauce served its job. Definitely bring a crowd. I ordered a pizza and it's enough for probably 4 meals. It's filling and delicious. If you're in the area and want a chill place to have some good pizza check this place out. Oh, I wouldn't bring kids. You can, but it's a bar and I've heard several colorful conversations.

During that time our drinks were not refilled, service was inattentive and the restaurant wasn't properly cooled. When we received the pizzas, one was completely burnt on top and bottom. When we questioned it, the server said I'm not the cook. She offered to make it again but I did not gave another hour to waste with 3 kids who were already getting understandably antsy. When she asked if we wanted anything else she seemed upset that all we wanted to do was leave. No restitution was given. Aside from that the other pizza was bad as well. Maybe they burn things on purpose to disguise their inability to make pizza. I don't know. I would highly suggest you stay as far away from this "restaurant" as possible.

It's in a shopping Center Plaza kind of off of the main road. I have been before but just for a beer. We sat at the bar area and the bartender was really nice. Sorry I didn't get her name. You can tell there's a lot of regulars that come here but we were treated just the same. They have about 10 taps and had a few ipas on there for me. What I really like is the prices. An IPA for $5? Can't hardly find that anymore. So we had two rounds of beer each and got two appetizers. I spinach dip and some pepperoni egg rolls. Both were actually really good. Spinach dip could use some more seasoning but that just seems to be the case almost everywhere anymore. Food came out fast and was delivered hot. Beer was Ice cold. It's kind of a small spot so you're either going to sit at the bar or at one of the few tables that are around the bar area. Lots of TVs around the bar. $31 for both of us. I do recommend.

It was a charming Italian spot with a cozy dining room and a welcoming patio. The menu looked great, so even though it was already late and only about a half hour before closing, I chose to dine there. I was a little worried I might feel rushed because of the time, but that did not happen. I was greeted warmly by the hostess and the manager as soon as I walked in, which immediately made me feel welcome. Since it was a bit cool outside, I chose to sit in the dining room. I was seated in Sydney's section, which turned out to be perfect because she was an excellent server. Even though she had already started the closing tasks in the dining room, she still provided outstanding service. She was attentive, polite, professional and efficient. She took my order right away and kept the soda refills coming without me ever having to ask. Sydney's service really made the difference and it complemented my delicious meal. In an era where many restaurants feel inattentive or simply not invested in the guest experience, Basil Pizza and Wine delivered a memorable evening. It ended up being an unexpectedly great dinner and it will be my go to restaurant the next time I am staying in Perrysburg. Sydney and the restaurant were fantastic.

My friends got alcohol and they seemed to love their cocktails. We ordered bruschetta and our waiter warned us that it's not your typical bruschetta. We tried it anyways. My friends absolutely loved it. I hated it lol. It's EXTREMELY sweet. It's got a lemon marscapone cheese. The bread is very soft and fluffy and tastes great, but they pile that sweet cheese thick on top of it and it's just not my cup of tea. My friends ordered pizza and they loved what they ordered. I ordered the Caesar salad and added chicken. The Caesar dressing is chefs kiss. I absolutely loved it and wish I could've taken a bottle of it home with me. The chicken was cooked well, but definitely needs more seasoning. It took a bit to get our checks, but overall it was a great experience.

Ambiance was dark- like a bar-type of atmosphere- which didn't matter because it was an overcast day in Ohio. It was also more of a sports var as there were lots of TV screens. I ordered a chicken caprese sandwich after being assured by my server that it was one of her favorites. It came with delicious French Fries. The sandwich was good but not amazing. For my taste, the chicken was a bit overcooked, but better than undercooked. The fries were delicious, even though I only ate a few. Before I went to college, I worked in a nice seafood restaurant and our nightly task was to make sure ketchup containers were full. Therefore, I noticed that my container of ketchup was down to the last few squirts. Never a good thing/sound! Overall, not a bad place to eat, but nothing worth going out of your way to try, imo. I see that others gave it better reviews, so this is my experience, Pictures below...

Item 2: Regardless of what you call it, I love this place, and have since the 1970s. This place is a little neighborhood hole-in-the-wall, and I don't think the decor has changed since the 1970s (literally). Who says that's a bad thing? GYROs: Bottom line is that this is some of the BEST tasting gyro meat I've ever eaten. Period. It's flavored to perfection, and cooked to juicy yet crisp perfection, also. I have no idea what spices they add to the lamb/beef mixture (nutmeg? cumin? cinnamon?) but it has a unique and delicious flavor. This is the first place where, as a little kid, I ever ate a gyro, and they still make one of the best. (Not that my ethnic background matters, but I am Greek, and I've eaten a lot of gyros in a lot of cities and countries). If this is not the best, it's damned close to it. The chicken kabobs are excellent too. When I feel like eating something with more protein and less fat, this is my go to. These are fantastically seasoned and grilled perfectly every time. They come with rice or fries, and some veggies. The Greek salads are next level. They are large, well presented, well put together, and come with a BIG ASS SLAB of feta cheese. The homemade Greek dressing is not the best I have ever had, but it is more than serviceable. Pizza? Oh yeah, the pizza.... J & G,s thin crust pizza is also excellent. The flavor of the sauce is more traditional than what you will find at Amie's or Gino's, and therefore, may appeal to a wider range of tastes. I'd stick with the more basic toppings. To drink, they have milk and pop for the kids, and beer and wine for the adults. In case you haven't guessed, their wine list includes retsina and mavrodaphne. Obviously, as the place is also Upside Brewing, they have a pretty nice selection of beer. Upside has a few taps, and multiple taps from other local and regional brew houses are available. They do get busy, but we've never had unacceptably slow or rude service.
