At approximately 6:40 p.m. Thursday January 29th, a UPS truck stopped al9ng side another vehicle for unknown reason and blocked me from moving. They had ample room to move forward about 5 feet to let mevpass but they refused. The license number of the UPS truck is: NY 50784 MK. This was a deliberate action to prevent me from going around the truck. They knew I wanted to pass , and they knew that by moving up just a few more feet I could have passed . But the driver refused. This was an absolutely disgusting action on part of that driver. I will never use UPS again! Tomorrow I will call and make a formal complaint with corporate office. This person should not be working for UPS and is both a menace and a danger on the road. read more

Driver serving Fifth Ave is horrible, and clearly of the lowest intelligence. 1st delivery wasn't even attempted because he decided I had moved (been here 17 years, and still am). Second delivery attempt he didn't even try ringing the bell, and said no one was at the address, even though I was here at exactly the time he said he tried. Now today 1/3/23 he leaves a note stuck to my front door saying he'll try again since I wasn't here, but I was again here and HE DIDN"T RING THE DOORBELL!! Please fire this guy!! P.S. UPS phone support is a completely unintelligent Artificial (as in completely FAKE) Intelligence, and will NEVER give you a human being, and hangs up on you no matter what. read more

What a friendly team of people at this location. Every time I drop off a package I'm acknowledged right away and always greeted with a smile even when they're busy helping other customers. This is a convenient location near Home Depot. The entrance is a little hidden on the side of the building. Easy to park right out front. read more

I had to ship out an expensive watch for warranty repair. Didnt want to go USPS cause the tracking blows! Whats great about shipping here instead of the UPS Store is the insurance is significantly cheaper! Plus you can use a USPS or fedex envelope or box and they don't care. Am I paying for door-to-door delivery or not? Seems like I'm being charged for something I'm not getting. The UPS delivery person is leaving packages in the planter box on the driveway of my apartment building, which is upstairs from my apartment. They've done this 4 times in the past month. How hard is it to walk down 3 steps, put the package down and knock on my door? Evidently it's impossible for UPS employees. I can't see the planter box from my apartment and it would only take them 3 steps downstairs to leave the package in front of my door. The way they're leaving packages now is without giving me any indication that they've delivered the package. They just dump it and leave, and I have to go out randomly and check to see where they've left it, if I'm at home. If I'm not, it just sits there, out in the open, until I get home. This is crazy and unprofessional. Several dozen people pass by where they've left the package, it's out in the open, exposed to rain, and not near anyone's apt. door--it appears as if it's an abandoned box. It's inviting theft. Is this what I'm paying for? If so, I want several refunds. This is totally unacceptable. read more

I recently had my vehicle hit in San Rafael by a UPS truck while it was parked. A manger Mike came out and asked for my information and explained that his driver hit my vehicle and it would be taken care of, He gave me his number to the center and expressed that if I had any questions feel free to contact him. It has been 2 weeks and I have yet to hear from the insurance company which supports UPS. I attempted to contact the center and consistently get the run around. On 5/28/20 I called the center and an employee named Fernando answered and was rude and refused to forward me the insurance companies contact information. I am truly disappointed in the way this company is trying to hide the fact that their driver hit my vehicle and refuses to follow through. I personally did the footwork to contact UPS's insurance company Liberty Mutual and filed a claim. It is alarming that this company has not integrity when it comes to the personal property of others. I was told not to call the center and it was something I have to live with. I am not looking for revenge I am merely trying to get my vehicle fixed. read more

Extremely limited hours for the "primary Marin UPS shipping hub" preclude any rating above one star. No reflection on local service staff, if they were there even six days. Not their fault. They are good people when you finally find the place open. Unfortunately - corporate management rewards this kind of stupid cost cutting (of service hours) with salary bonuses to the local or regional managers. Low shipping costs are a savings with UPS. But 'endless waits' go the other way... Time is money too, sometimes. I do look for and choose "expedited shipping" as appropriate. But if "fast 'n free" means your item gets stuck at the depot on the weekend past 'expected delivery' - then it's not fast, and can impose hidden costs to boot. Wake up UPS! Making people wait through every weekend, when we could simply pick up the packages ourselves is punishing to your customers! There is some kind of middle ground on this systemic 'denial of service'... We understand weekend delivery is off the table for 'economy ship'. That is fine - but open the bloody pickup office for the 'DIYers' out here who need their 'whatchamacallit' to finish the project! Thank you for reading my comments. read more

Unbelievably disrespectful customer service. They lose my package (an AC unit in the midst of a heat wave of 106) and this bitch of a woman actually told me that this happens and it's not a big deal. after I told her that I cannot live in my apartment without this package, she tells me to just call the 1800 number. Despite the fact that it was scanned into their distribution center in San Rafael for final delivery, this ass of a woman then told me that it was a preliminary scan and that it wasn't actually there and they have no idea where it is. If you can't ship a single box to me from Oregon, then perhaps you shouldn't be in the delivery business. I will never use UPS again after this debacle. The investigation can take anywhere between 1-8 business days. Meanwhile, I'll keep trying to survive in 106 degree apartment. Fuck me, right? read more

This station makes a habit of not picking up paid and scheduled packages and lying about it after. I had scheduled a return with a retailer, The retailer issued return labels via UPS. If the customer isn't home at the time (1time only). UPS requires the customer pay to register a pick up. I did all these things only to have the driver lie and log into the system that the packages were picked up by the deadline. I called customer service that evening and was informed of the documented lie. I had to call two more times before the local station would agree to picking up packages which I'd already paid. This does beg the question as to why UPS is getting paid twice, once by the vendor and once by the customer. Policies and practices indicate unethical dealings with the local San Rafael station and the corporate office. Shameful read more

I hate to admit this, but I made a huge error and dropped off a package with a pre-paid Fedex label attached. After a call to UPS, I found out that they ran my package over to Fedex and the package still made it to the proper destination. While I don't recommend this practice, as UPS had no responsibility to my package; I would like to THANK these guys for their professionalism & making a customer happy, even when it wasn't there customer. read more

I had to go the San Rafael UPS Customer Center to claim a very heavy package that was being held there for us. The man on duty was friendly, courteous, and efficient. He quickly located the package and noticing its weight, he smiled and said "I will take it to your car for you." It was a very pleasant encounter. read more
