Very simple, food was ok not bad. Now I strongly suspect the pizza dough is premade frozen dough. If you look at the bottom of the pizza dough there are venting pits in a symmetrical pattern like what you see in frozen pizza. And it tastes frozen. The crust is too symmetric for hand made pizza. Again not bad but for $22 large pie the dough should be freshly made. I'm a pizza chef artist and this is not a hard thing to accomplish. Still okay place. read more

If you're looking for the upper crust of quick and delicious pizza and pasta, Upper Crust Pizza may not be the place to go. Just go to Pizza Hut. We arrived at Upper Crust at 8:00 after a long tiring day looking for quality food that was quick and easy. They took our take out order and said it would be prepared in 25 minutes. We left to go pick up some other groceries from Publix around the corner and arrived back at the restaurant with 5 minutes to spare. The kids and I stayed in my car while my wife went in to wait for our order. About 10 minutes later, 5 minutes after they said our order would be ready, the woman at the counter took our credit card and we paid for the order. After another 20 minutes (a total of 30 EXTRA minutes waiting in the restaurant) and many evasions about when exactly our order would be ready ("it's in the oven" "it will be out soon" etc) my wife was ready to call the credit card company and cancel the entire order. She didn't, and we got our food nearly double the time they told us it would take, publix ice cream already melted in the back. Needless to say, this food wasn't worth a 50 minute wait. The pizza wasn't anything special, the meat lasagna was a disappointment (burned on the bottom and very well done), and the garlic bread wasn't really worth eating. We won't be back. read more

Service was HORRIBLE. The pizza was pretty good, but we were sitting there for twenty minutes before we even got our drinks. I was only able to get one drink the whole time because they only came back to us when they gave us the pizza and when they brought us the check. There's only two people working the whole place and they need more help. We asked the lady how much longer till the pizza will be ready and she replied in a rude way and said "as you can see we are busy and we have other orders before yours, so you'll just have to wait." I was a little concerned at first when I saw the mediocre reviews, but I am sure glad we ordered our pizza our first night in the keys from Upper Crust. The owners both were working that evening and because they ran out of meatballs, they simply deducted $2 from my bill without me even asking. Upper crust?! I'm pretty sure this was the "lowest crust" pizza place my family has ever been to. Upon arrival, we were shuffled to the back of the restaurant and not offered the ability to order drinks. While there were open bar seats, the manager and waiter never thought to let us sit there until we asked. We ordered 3 appetizers and were told that we wouldn't get them for at least an hour. So, we wait that hour and the woman tells us she doesn't have dough left. She told us this problem and never offered a solution. We then decided to leave and go somewhere else whereupon the woman rudely noted that we "must pay for our 2 root beers," which of course we would, but, one would expect her to have offered to comp our drinks as she wasted 1.5 hours of our night!! We've been eating fish for the last 5 days (lunch and dinner). Tonight I was ready for pizza. I was reading the reviews on Yelp to decide which place to go. Upper Crust Pizza had a few negative comments, mostly about service, but there were good comments about the food. I was afraid to eat at Upper Crust but I decided to try it. It is not a chain but a Ma and Pa operation so the sauce must be good. Well, I'm glad we went. The pizza was delicious and the service was better than some restaurants we ate at here in the Keys. Take the chance. The price was a tad high but still worth the visit. The place was packed, so that says something. read more

Stopped here on the way back to Miami from the keys with my family. Ordered a large pepperoni pizza with half green peppers we also order an order of mozzarella sticks. The sticks were delicious and so was the pizza. We had to order a second one. The waitress seems overwhelmed as more people came in. Not once did she check on our table or see if we needed anything. She went around other tables and would not come to ours. The gentleman who I think is the owner came to our table to give us the check. We told him that we wanted to place another order of the same pizza and sticks. He seems to be doing all the work bussing tables, taking food to the tables, and cashing people out. He seems like he knows what he's doing and he's attentive to people. The waitress needs to just stay by the register and cash people out. They do need to hire at least one or two more people to help wait the tables and buss the tables. Food is perfect the gentleman does all the work. read more

My wife and I were looking for a good pizzeria in town to eat at for a casual date. We heard of Upper Crust before been had never been. We decided to check it out. We walked in, place was packed so immediately I thought to myself this is a good sign. However, we noticed there's no hostess or host to seat you. We stood there for several minutes before one of the customers sitting at his table, eating his pizza, said to us "You just sit wherever". We sat down, and looked through the menu. We found what we would like to order. We sat there for nearly 15 minutes before we were greeted by our waitress and order our drinks. We told her we would like to put in our order, and she refused to take the order because she wanted to put in our drink order. Strange. She came back 10 minutes later with our waters and we were finally able to order our meal. The food came quicker than our service had been all night. We ate nearly our entire meal but by this point we needed refills of water. The waitress did not check up on us even once after recieving the meal. My wife took our drinks up to the front counter to be refilled and the waitress again refused and told her she would be right there. So my wife returned to our table with the empty glasses. I continued to eat my meal because i do not like my food cold. The waitress finally came over, after our meal, to give us our refills. We then sat and waited for 10 more minutes to pay for the bill, only because again, my wife went up front to pay for it. The food was decent, nothing fantastic. Service was absolutely terrible. And the facility looked clean but had an odd odor to it. Not your typical pizzeria for a casual date night. You'll be disappointed. read more

We love this place! We try to stop in every year on vacation. It's a great little family-owned Italian restaurant. Although they have subs, salads, and pasta, we've never gotten anything but pizza. The "carnivorous" is our favorite. Be aware, they are closed Sundays. read more

We got to our rental home in Marathon and didn't feel like cooking so we ordered eggplant dinners from The Upper Crust Pizzeria. $17 per entrée which came with spaghetti and a small salad. The eggplant was sliced so thin you couldn't even tell it was eggplant. Only two pieces with a layer of paper thin mozzarella on top. All you could taste is breadcrumbs. Biggest waste of $34. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Pizza not so great, either. read more
