It's a family owned small restaurant all of them really nice... everything has a home made taste pizza sizes are big we order a medium and a large pizza and we took more than 2 slides of each ... 2 pizzas are more than enough for 3 people, prices are a little big higher!!! But the taste of the food is Really good read more

Truly one of the beat pizza places I ha e ever been to. Family owned great food, hospitality and drinks. Salads are huge and the pizza is awesome read more

We ordered take out pizza and it was awesome! The bbq chicken pizza was the best I have had! Nice crispy thin crust and plenty of toppings! We also ordered meatballs and garlic bread and everything was great! read more

My family enjoyed this restaurant so much last year that we couldn't wait to get back this year!! We loved the pizza, meatballs and the Greek salad! This is a great family operated restaurant. read more

During our week long stay we have order Upper Crust twice it was excellent both times!!! By far some of the best pizza we have had from the crust up to the toppings and cheese! I wish I had this place at home!! read more

The barbecue pizza is fantastic and just the right amount of kick from the jalepenos. May be the best barbecue pizza I've had. The crust is nicely crafted and the pizza in general is really very good, especially for a resort area where they don't need to rely on frequently returning customers. The owner was super friendly and told a good story while I waited for my takeout. read more

Can't say enough about this place!! We've tried a lot of pizza in the keys and this place had the best cheese pizza by far!! Also ordered the wings, super tasty. Spaghetti and meatballs was great too!! Friendly and great service. read more

One of the best pizza spots ever...all food was fresh and delicious...service is outstanding, very attentive staff...extremely clean place....highly recommend read more

Good food. We got a pepperoni pizza and mozzarella sticks. Toppings whet all the way to the edge of a thin, but soft crust. Made a great late evening dinner. I would eat here again. read more

We knew when we saw everyone carrying pizza boxes into Marathon Marina that this place was worth checking. When I walked in the door there was a pizza on every table with sit-in guests. After a friendly conversation with the bartender (owner? Manager?) I left with our pizza 15 minutes later! And we were not disappointed.... delicious, flavourful and cooked to perfection. This pizza is not to be missed if you're in the area! read more

You shouldn't expect good pizza in the keys. This place produces a pizza slightly better than what you can buy in a supermarket. And they DON'T deliver anymore. Next time I'll just settle for Papa Johns at half the price read more

Upper Crust has VERY tasty pizza! We loved the option of getting personal pizzas, so that each of us could get the toppings we wanted. Absolutely de-lish! We particularly loved the fresh crust and flavorful cheese. Highly recommend! read more

What to do when you are just arriving to your vacation hotel with kids and the hotel restaurant has a wait for dinner ? Order pizza of course. Pizza was ready in 25 minutes and it was great. The cheese bread was good too. read more

Great pizza and atmosphere!! Owners are great and truly make the time in the restaurant enjoyable. A must every time we come to the Keys.

We were in Marathon overnight and since we are vegetarians, our restaurant choices are limited (from Key Largo to Key West, it's all about the seafood!) We did a search to "pizza places near me now" and Upper Crust came up. It was close by so we called and ordered a small cheese pizza to be picked up. She said it would be 20 minutes (it was actually less, I think). I ordered it "well done" and the perfectly accommodated that request. The small was reasonably priced (about $12) and it fed 2 of us, with a couple pieces left over. The pizza was really good - the sauce was fresh, and the cheese was good. The crust was perfect - not too thick, not too thin. We really enjoyed eating our pizza by the ocean. When my friend went in to pick it up, she said the person was very nice and pleasant. All good! I'd definitely go here again. FYI: When I am travelling, I base a lot of my restaurant choices on reviewing sites such as Yelp. One thing I liked about Upper Crust was, a person left a detailed, negative review about something that happened in the restaurant. I don't know what happened, but, I saw that the owner left a detailed comment about the review. He took a lot of time to write it and explain the circumstances. I LOVE frequenting small businesses (rather than chains) and I very much appreciate that an owner cares enough to respond to a review (whether negative or positive) - it shows he or she cares about their business. While I appreciate a negative review if someone doesn't like something about a place, I liked what the owner wrote explaining the situation and that's why I decided on this place for my pizza. What I am trying to say is, the owner takes enough pride in his business to take the time to write that response. read more

Lets be clear, all restaurants in marathon are over stared, this place is decent, in nyc, sf, or any major city they would be out of business... quickly. but understand where you are and set expectations when you walk in. I will say the meatballs are solid read more

Place is clean and the family that runs it is great! Everyone is very attentive. The prices are a little high, but not out of line for the keys. I had the deluxe pizza and it was good considering what pizza options there are in marathon (and by that I mean chain fast food garbage). All of the food was fresh and not too greasy. read more

Small owned business but very friendly and focused on customer service. Food is hot when served. Pizza was really good. For a resort community I would rate it very good. The only knock is limited beer selection. read more

Don't let the outside look of this place turn you away. It has no curb appeal, but once you get inside, and you are greeted and served by what appear to be a husband and wife team, you will be very glad you did not pass up this place. I am from NYC and I was quite shocked to find pizza as good as some of the best pizza you can find in NYC. Not only did they have great pizza, but they had equally good salads and appetizers. The chicken wings were exceptionally good. If you happen to be in Marathon and in the mood for pizza, you can not go wrong at this place. They have other Italian dishes on the menu, but we were there for pizza and appetizers only. read more

We ordered food to go we were told they were busy and it would be 30 minute. We arrived 30 later and had to wait over 5 minutes to be given the food. The food was cold and the order was not correct. Our pizza was missing 1/2 the toppings and we were given the wrong dessert. We called the restaurant and spoke to the owner. The owner blamed us for being late ignored the wrong order and hung up on us. We will never go back with the attitude of the owner. All he had to say was sorry. Never blame the customer and hang up. Beware the owner does not care about his customer or the quality of his food. read more

Pricey but delicious. Would definitely eat here again!! My friend said it was the best pizza she's had after moving to Florida from Buffalo a year ago. read more

Hole in the wall, but very nice. Great for families. Pizza sauce on the sweet side. We devoured it. My daughter never eats and wanted More chicken parm. Drinks too pricey, but homemade dessert is best in the business. We had both and can't decide which was better. Will definitely be back. read more

Very tasty. Expect to pay $20 for a large two-item pizza. Crust is crispy on the bottom and edges and has the flavor of bread -- very nice after prefab crusts. Glad we Yelped it! The only thing is, they moved from 22nd and Overseas Hwy about six years ago. Find them at 3740 Overseas Hwy, which is on the Gulf side of the road. Interior of restaurant is nice, with a sweet curved light-wood highly polished bar that looks like a sushi bar! :-) They also have a website, uppercrustpizzainc.com read more

Best Pepperoni pizza on the key. I can't comment on the dine-in experience, but take-out worked well on many occasions.

As Kenneth says, "marathon restaurants are over starred". I would give the place 2.5 if yelp offered that option. The guy on the phone seemed grumpy. We only had pizza, which we took to go. My comment after eating it was "well, that was disappointing". The surprising part is, it was the (crust) that was the issue for us. If you're looking for a good pizza in marathon, try the Hurricane. I know, who'd think they would have good pizza? Well, we do. This is where we normally order from and will be going back to. read more

Actually horrible. We get our table and water is dripping on us from the ceiling. They refused to serve our appetizers before they put the pizza order in "an hour or more" later. And, after sitting there for an hour, they finally tell us they ran out of pizza dough. What the?!?!?!?! What a bust. And the whole time they were absurdly rude while we were giving the benefit of the doubt. Walked out. read more

Excellent mom and pop pizzeria with prompt service. Hands down the best pizza I've had in the upper or middle Keys with a great assortment of toppings. We will definitely be back to try them again. read more

Look, if you are after good pizza in the Keys you are fishing in the wrong lake. Upper Crust was serviceable, we orders take out and it was ready promptly in 20 minutes. Cute little hole in the wall next to a bait shop. Believe mom and pop owned, and mom and pop are working the joint! Average pizza, but Greek salad was elite. Overall would order again to take a night off of seafood. read more

I was sent to pick up pizza for our group and chose this place. I'm very glad I did. The outside isn't much to look at but it's nice inside and the food was just excellent. I got 3 large pizzas --carnivore, bbq chicken and something else . Everyone in the group thought the pizza was wonderful -- better than at any chain place. I also got orders of meatballs (very good) and chips with spinach dip (also very good). The food isn't cheap -- this is the keys after all -- but all 8 of us enjoyed a good meal for right around $100. I would like to eat at the restaurant instead of doing carry-out next time I come. read more

You'll be thinking about this pizza days after your meal here. We got there about 20-30 minutes before close and they still served us. In fact, they didn't turn away any parties that came in after us. Small place, family operated, DELICIOUS pizza! I don't eat cheese, so when I order a pizza without cheese, I judge how great it is by whether or not it still tastes decent without cheese. It was amazing :) I'd say the pizza crust is somewhere between thin and thick, as I have seen thicker crusts elsewhere. The Key Lime Pie is homemade and excellent as well. Yes, you could say it is a "hole-in-the-wall" but it is a gem and I would certainly go back. Perfect meal after a day at the beach in the summer sun. read more

We stopped for a medium pizza last night-sausage and pepperoni. It's a smallish place in a strip mall and has a small bar. The first lady that we saw seemed to know no English. We were seated and a gentlemen took our order. I said "thank you" after placing the order, but received no reply. The pizza was pretty good-the sausage had a good taste and the pepperoni was run of the mill with a decent crust. It was nice to have pizza, a change from all the seafood (never thought I would say that). $20 with a tip. read more

Best pizza in Marathon. Papa john's is a rip, they try to charge more than their web site offers. THis place doesn't deliver but it worth the short drive to pick it up or eeat in. read more

We enjoyed our dinner here. We were the first guests to arrive, as they didn't open until 5pm. The pizza was very good, even the crust (we aren't big crust eaters). The garlic bread was delish. We took some tasty coconut cheesecake and key lime pie to go. Service was very attentive. read more

Good pizza. Great wings. Husband and wife own and run the place. Not a speedy place so don't expect to get in and out. You're in the keys so just relax and don't stress. read more

Locally owned and operated is a plus. Fresh, hot, quick. Our pepperoni pizza a bit too greasy for two in our party of five. Price about what you'd expect. Busy but not loud. read more

Great pizza, lots of flavor, and they delivered quickly to feed my hungry family when nobody felt like venturing out. Will definitely be a returning customer! read more

Family owned. Sat and chat with owner while our pizza was being made. Friendly, warm, laid back and genuine. Pizza was fantastic. We'll go again next time we visit Marathon. read more

The reviews on yelp said the food was good but the wait took forever. We decided to ignore the bad reviews because of all the compliments on how yummy things were. Mistake. We went in, sat at the bar for an easy 20-30 minutes and didn't even get greeted. Let alone a drink or menu. We left and called the next result on yelp which turned out to be the nicest people we've ever met. read more

Very good pizza place. One of the best on Marathon. Pepperoni pizza was very good. Small restaurant with hard working good service.

Yelp reviews directed us here. Ordered a veggie pizza and both of us agreed it was superior to almost anything we have in the D.C. area. Very fresh and generous toppings, and the crust was perfect. Service was nice, though we got there shortly before closing and staff patiently waited for us to finish. read more
