I just happened to find this hidden Italian restaurant and am so glad I did! Given time constraints, I ordered two slices of pizza, added meatballs to the pizza and bought a bottle of Dr. Pepper for caffeine too get myself back to Fort Lauderdale after a fun time in Key West. The pizza was so delicious, I wish I had ordered a whole pie so I would have leftovers. The sauce, dough & meatballs were all equally yummy! What also made this stop so great was that the chef and "lady at the front" who turned out to be the new owner, were SO friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The chef is from Massachusetts -- you're getting solid Italian food from up north! The ambiance is of a quick Italian sandwich shop from the northeast. There are cute little table & 2 TVs. It seems like most of the business is takeaway. Either way, I'll be stopping there again in my next trip to the Keys. Free parking lot. New owners are awesome. After a bad experience elsewhere they reached out. We ordered 2 pizzas and 2 subs. All of the above were excellent. Pizza is the better have had here in the keys. Sausage sub was actually sausage cut down the middle and not pizza topping sausage like in the other place. AND NO STYROFOAM! To save a few bucks, use cash instead of a card. I have been going here for 20 years. Suddenly on Sunday I called to order a couple of cheesesteaks and no one answered phone! I called 8 times over 1 hour and all I got was the answer machine telling me the hours of operation and for sure they say they were open. Came down to the Keys for a few months from the CT/NY area. We were surprised at how good the pizza and sandwiches were. The owner is from Boston and the pizza resembles pizza like you get in the NY and New England area. The large pizza was actually a large. Only downside is they charge you extra for using a credit card. We have gone back there twice in the last month. read more

We really enjoyed our pizza. We got a large half cheese/half works with no green peppers, add jalapeño. The pizza was delicious and the staff were very nice. It is New Year's Eve, 2022 going into 2023, I didn't want to go out so I ordered a pizza from what was my favorite pizza shop. As you can see from my other reviews, I have always had very good results. This pizza was absolutely terrible. It was not hot, very dry and tasteless. I always order extra sauce and this one had very little. Unfortunately I guess I'm gonna have to try a couple of the other places. I am sure they are very busy and when I called him the order, they said it would be an hour and a half to two hours and I was fine with that. I Love "TheWorks"pizza. It's completely loaded with toppings, they do not skimp. I order it with extra cheese and it's so addictive! The other thing I order there is the chicken Philly. A lot of places burn the chicken, not here! It's a little expensive but totally worth it. You can eat in or take out. Im not sure if they have delivery at this point. They stopped when Covid started. We stopped for a 2 person Stromboli and enjoyed it very much. Service was great. We even called 20 minutes before while driving up the Keys to order ahead. Our waitress was very nice and she took good care of us. The food was tasty. Great pizza joint. There are only 2 places in the area that deliver food and this is definitely the better place. Pizza and calzones are good. If you're getting delivery don't order the wings or garlic knots - delivery is slow and they will be tough and chewy when they get to you. But I order them when I dine-in and they are good. Convenient location, clean restrooms. Sometimes the servers or drivers don't show up, but there's always carry out. read more

The family was hungry after spending the day on a boat so we were looking for something that I knew everyone would be happy about. They were open and had inside seating and they weren't out of the way. The menu has a lot of great choices but I went with the classic pepperoni. I was recommended this place, so my expectations were high. Unfortunately for the price I expected some good pizza. Coming from Chicago I know good pie. I was let down, although the pizza wasn't terrible it was nothing great, the garlic bread was just regular French bread with melted mozzarella. Pizza was okay, nothing great. I ordered two pizzas, one cheese and one with sausage and banana peppers. Well, they put pepperoni on it instead of the peppers. We ate it anyways because we were hungry. Everyone felt like that one was overcooked. The cheese pizza was okay. Will probably just buy frozen at Winn Dixie next time. OK, people, let's all regroup: if you're on vacation in the Keys, you should know that one, things cost more down here, and that means restaurants pay more for everything they buy. Two, you don't come to the Keys for the best pizza you will ever eat. If you want a local dining experience, go order some snapper. Just expect to pay more than you will for a pizza. Probably some of the better pizza we've had in the Keys. We didn't feel like dropping $70 on dinner, so we opted for a pizza. A small was the size of large back home (easily 16", and home is the southwest coast of Florida ), and cheese-only cost $12. Sauce was a little sweet for my taste, and if you're from New York, you'll hate it. But then, if you're from New York, you'll hate all non-NY pizza. Go order fish. Everyone else, this pizzeria does a great job without breaking the bank, which is a lovely change when in the Keys. The staff was friendly (we ordered the pizza as takeout) and the pizza was hot and ready when they said it would be. read more

Worst service we have ever experienced! As out of town-ers visiting the area, we decided to try a local pizza shop for dinner. We ordered 3 pizzas each with a different array of toppings to please the appetites of everyone in our group. The woman on the phone, Judy, was very rude and didn't want to help with our order. The price of the pizza was never stated during the call and when the pizza arrived at our house, the cost was $70 dollars for 3 pizzas! We paid the amount and started to wonder about the reasons behind the charges and decided to call and inquire about our order and what we may have done wrong. Instead of customer service, Judy gave attitude right away. We remained very calm explaining that we did not want a refund we just wanted an explanation. The woman hung up on us twice and refused to discuss the dilemma. While their pizza was tasty, and very New York esque.... The service was unacceptable! No one should ever treat a customer the way she did, especially after spending $70 dollars on three pizzas. Safe to say we will NEVER order from their again and we will be telling everyone to steer clear of this rude pizza shop. read more

Our family of 4 had a 3 topping 16" pizza, a 3 ingredient calzone (huge), an order of BBQ wings, pitcher of pop, and cheesy garlic bread. Spent $55. Ate at the restaurant. Short staffed and VERY busy with phone and delivery orders. Poor server was trying to do 5-6 things at a time. He was trying to be polite but kept saying how "short handed" he was.
