Visited Mr. Z's because TikTok said it was a must-try when in Key West. LOL! I got there around 10:30 PM on Monday night. It's a very spot, with just enough standing room for a few people inside and a couple of high-top tables outside to enjoy your pizza. It's located a few storefronts down from Duval Street, and there was a steady flow of people coming in and out, so it was definitely busy, but not overwhelming. I still received my pizza in about 10 minutes, which I appreciated. We ordered a large pizza, half Philly cheesesteak and half chicken. The Philly cheesesteak pizza is actually the one that's been the most hyped on TikTok, so I was especially excited to try it. I originally wanted to just grab a slice, but they only offer cheese and pepperoni by the slice, so keep that in mind. The pizza came out hot, fresh, and looked really good. However, the taste didn't quite match the hype for me. The steak and chicken both lacked seasoning, which made the overall flavor fall a bit flat. It wasn't horrible, but it definitely could have been much better with a little more seasoning. Wife got pizza she really enjoyed. I got a meatball sub and it really wasn't that good to me. It's a small, cozy spot with about eight seats. Everything would have probably been better if the staff weren't so obnoxious, blasting music as loud as possible and trying to sing along (badly). read more

Stopped by Mr Zs, no line and quick ordering. Staff was very friendly and helpful, the interior is primarily for to go orders. Pizza had a very off taste from the cheese, very off putting, dough was soggy from sauce over load. **Disclaimer** When I entered the shop, it was filled with heavy smoke from a burning oven. This spot is my late night feeding place for a great pizza. Tonight as usual the small restaurant is filled to the rim with customers. Two tiny tables outside with a countertop for eating inside if you can manage not to get hit by other customer's elbows. I ordered my usual Philly cheesesteak and a small pizza which was made in about twenty minutes. No smiles from the staff just order, pay and eat. It's too busy in here for anything else. Great pizza and the service was excellent! Was about to walk out with my order and one of the cooks stopped me. There was a missing ingredient on my pizza. It's pretty small inside and there are a couple high top tables outside (seats 2 per table) if you don't mind the roosters lol. Why leave Key West when you can step into an authentic Philadelphia pizza shop at Mr. Z's. The walls are covered with everything Philadelphia and the aroma of cheese makes you realize your in the right place for an authentic cheesesteak. The guys behind the counter had just enough Philly arrogance to make it feel authentic without being rude. The service was amazing! The staff was very prompt, friendly, informative and helpful. I tried a whole cheese steak with whiz and a whole steak with their homemade American cheese sauce. Both came on AMOROSO ROLLS layered with a large portion of perfectly cooked chopped steak, then smothered in cheese. If you love cheese, you'll love these sandwiches. Fine pizza, especially for Key West. It's Philly style more than NY style -- with Philly sports on TV, and exuberant employees ribbing one another. You may need to ask for your slices to be extra re-heated -- pizzerias down here frequently underheat the slices. Some Philly-native tourists even requested this while I was there, eating my just slightly underdone slice. Still excellent, though. read more

The cheesesteaks here are the perfect drunk food. Did we go here 4 out of 5 nights that we were in Key West? Yes, yes we did. Do we regret it? Not at all. Will we go again next time we go to Key West? Absolutely! But side note that their fries are not as good so pass on those and stick to the meaty goodness of the cheesesteaks. read more

Food was mediocre. Service was meh. You can be cool and badass and still smile. Online ordering told me it would be ready in 25 minutes. Pizza was ready but cheesesteak hadn't even been started. So do the math...my pizza got cold waiting for the cheesesteak. That plus the fact the guy on grill was too busy having a great time yelling and singing and acting a fool and f'ed up my sandwich...wrong cheese and left off the banana peppers. It's not rocket science. These guys are too busy trying to give off a certain vibe. They need to focus more on the food. I get it. Drunk tourists are their main clientele which must get old...but I paid $50 for cold pizza and a f'ed up sandwich. Blah. read more

This is a pizza slinging take out joint.....the crew is fast and efficient and know what they're doing. The credit card machine was broken so it was cash only when I went so it narrowed down our choices. We want to return to try their famous Philly cheesesteak next time. Great sauce on the traditional pizza, and the crust is light and thin like a great NY style should be. Heard they had the best Philly cheesesteak, but was far from the truth. Most of the cheese was on the outside of the sub instead of mixed in with the beef. Ingredients were definitely cheap and tasted like jersey Mike's. This place sells sliced pizza and that's what we got an old pizza that must've been sitting around and sold to us as fresh. It was terrible and unacceptable. We ordered from UberEats on our first day since the Airport here is a mess and we didn't get our luggage til 1 1/2 hrs after the plane landed. The hotel wasn't even ready with our room. So it was a messy afternoon. And we were all exhausted by 6ish. When I saw they are top rated I was like hmmmm and the name is epic! We ordered 2 pies. Cheese and pepperoni. Both pies were delicious, perfect sauce, crisp on the crust and not greasy and over done. Definitely a plus in our books. The dough was delicious. Gotta love a good pie! My parents got fried Hogfish and said their meal was delicious. I got a cheeseburger, which was fantastic. Huge portion sizes and grilled with a nice char on the outside. Came with fries, which were also really good. Our waitress was wonderful! She said she'd worked there 25 years and she had such a great personality. It was hot and they're an open air type place, so while there is shade, there isn't air conditioning but it's such a fun, island vibe that you won't care. Definitely a local establishment with a lot of character. A little outside Key West on Stockton Island.

Just as impressive was the staff--the service was impeccable, and everyone we interacted with was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly. We enjoyed it so much that we came back later for happy hour and dinner, and somehow it was just as impressive. The staff made us feel right at home again. We had amazing appetizers, great wine, and finished with the snapper entrée, which was absolutely delightful. I'm including a photo because it looked every bit as good as it tasted. It's rare to find a place that delivers this well across breakfast, happy hour, and dinner, but Sarabeth's did exactly that. If I could give this place zero stars, I absolutely would…read more This has been one of the most disappointing and upsetting experiences I've ever had with a restaurant. On Saturday night, I ate a shrimp quesadilla here, and by Sunday morning I was violently sick. I had nonstop vomiting and severe liquid diarrhea for hours, couldn't keep down even tiny sips of water or Pedialyte, and the cramping became so intense I could barely stand or walk without help. Things got so bad that by Sunday evening I ended up in the emergency room due to extreme dehydration. I needed IV fluids, medications, and hours of treatment. I was vomiting bile, hyperventilating, extremely weak, and dealing with muscle tingling and cramping from how dehydrated my body became. What makes me the most angry is that food poisoning is NOT something minor, especially when seafood is involved. Situations like this can become life-threatening, and restaurants should understand the seriousness and responsibility that comes with serving food safely. Nobody should go out to eat and end up in the hospital less than 24 hours later. Now I'm left dealing with recovery, stress, and expensive medical bills from an experience that should never have happened in the first place. I genuinely hope this restaurant immediately takes a serious look at its food handling and safety practices before someone else goes through something even worse. Lastly, if it were up to me, this place should be shut down until they can guarantee proper food safety standards. I will also be looking into taking legal action because nobody should have to go through something like this from simply going out to eat.

To a person everyone enjoyed their food. They have a seafood platter that is a very generous portion of fish, scallops, and shrimp that was delicious. Highly recommend. Also got a side of steamed mussels: wow, they were nice meaty mussels in a delicious wine sauce that was perfect for dipping the two pieces of cheesy toast that come with it. They have a virgin version of most of their cocktails, and i can highly recommend the virgin mango daquiri. Key lime pie for dessert was delicious. I'd definitely go back and have recommended it to my friends
